Keng agreed to go. He would have to go see them sooner or later and since they were waiting for Rocks to soak in the sun, he should learn his duties as a Savior. A large black portal opened up similar to the one Eleven/Lee Seng was pushed through.
"Come on! What're you waiting for?" Elder Jyu'so motioned at Keng. Keng nodded and jogged into the portal. The next thing he knew, they were VERY near For'wut.
"It's been a long time since I've came to For'wut. Not much has seemed to change." Gorrum commented after a look around. Keng noticed a lot of soldiers were around. They all seemed to look over at them and when they saw Gorrum and Elder Jyu'so they saluted.
"At ease, everyone. We've come on business." Gorrum waved. The soldiers turned to look at Keng and a plethora of confused and "not happy to see" faces appeared.
"Sirs, which one is that one? We've been looking for both of them." A guard asked.
"This one?" Elder Jyu'so pointed. The guards nodded. "This one's Keng. What's wrong?"
"Hmm, where did the other one go?" Guard 1 asked Guard 2.
"For now, let's take him to Fan'r. Fan'r's been looking for you." Guard 2 looked over at Keng.
"Huh? Wh-why?" Keng asked.
"You'll have to ask him yourself. It seems you and your partner have caused a bit of an upset. Come with us." Guard 2 instructed as Guard 1 and Guard 2 flagged behind him.
"Oh, it's just as you said, Keng. Let's go say hello to Fan'r. He'll be interested in what I have to say when he see's us." Elder Jyu'so smiled.
"Lead the way." Guard 2 spoke to the other guards. Keng, Gorrum and Elder Jyu'so were led inside the gates. People looked at Keng with such uneasiness.
'They must know, right?' Keng thought. 'They all look at me like I did something wrong.'
"Which one is that one? The one who left Philip to die or the one who saved him?" A villager asked.
"It doesn't matter! Philip's condition wasn't fully healed because of them!" Another spoke.
'Philip's alive still? What happened? Did Lee Seng do something?' Keng wondered.
"Hurry up." Guard 2 ordered. The guards led them to the Wang residence. The set of raps on the door was followed by sounds of movement. A moment later, Bright opened the door and looked at the group of people in front of him.
"H-hello? W-what can I—" Bright's eyes landed on Keng. He simply sighed and bowed at Elder Jyu'so and Gorrum. "Elder. Sir Gorrum. What're you doing here?"
"We're here to deal with some problems. I guess the one with your youngest brother is first." Elder Jyu'so looked at Keng. Keng forced a smile as Bright sighed and stepped off to the side.
"Come in." Bright motioned.
"We'll take it from here, guards. Good work." Elder Jyu'so relieved the guards of their duties as Gorrum motioned Keng through after the Elder. Gorrum flanked Keng as he passed Bright. Bright let out a sigh like he wasn't that excited to see Keng.
? "He's here." Bright announced. "With Elder Jyu'so and Sir Gorrum. Where's Father!?!"
"Which one?" Lily poked her head out of the kitchen. She immediately froze seeing Elder Jyu'so and Gorrum. "E-Elder. S-Sir Gorrum." She stepped out from behind the wall and into the door frame, bowing. "Wh-why are you here?"
"Keng must check the status of the Curse." Elder Jyu'so answered. "Can I sit over here?" Jyu'so pointed.
"Oh, please make yourself comfortable in the living room. I-I will grab you chairs, Elder. Sir." Lily began to rush inside the kitchen and pull some chairs over as Elder Jyu'so, Keng, and Gorrum stepped into the living room.
"Mmm, Fan'r's taste hasn't changed at all in the last twenty-five years." Elder Jyu'so nodded.
"Elder. Sir Gorrum, have a seat." Lily motioned as she set two chairs down. "I-I'll be back with one for you, K-Keng."
"I can sit on the floor. It's fine." Keng forcibly smiled. He could feel the awkwardness in the air. It was going to be a hard task ahead. He moved over to the living room table on the floor and sat down, crossing his legs. Bright moved over and sat himself in front of him. Sounds of footsteps moved down the hall and Fan'r, along with Jacob and Winn came out.
"Oh, it seems we have many guests!" Fan'r chuckled. He turned and looked at Elder Jyu'so and Sir Gorrum. "Elder Jyu'so it's good to see you. I didn't know you'd be making a stop here with your pupil, Sir Gorrum. How are you all?"
"We're doing fine." Elder Jyu'so stood up on his chair, Gorrum following suit. The yboth bowed as Fan'r, Winn and Jacob bowed. "It's been how long since we last saw each other? Your children have all grown up into fine adults! It's so good to see everyone again."
"Ah, twenty-five years is a long time. I've had plenty of kids in the time you've came last. You remember Jacob, Elder? He was a wee little baby when you visited. I've had twins, another son and Lily since you've came!" Fan'r chuckled.
"Ah, many fine men!" Elder Jyu'so smiled.
"Introduce yourselves, boys." Fan'r motioned at his sons.
"Hello, Elder. I'm Winn." Winn introduced himself, bowing again.
"Hello, Elder. Pleasure to see you, again. I'm Jacob." Jacob bowed. Bright stood up and bowed at Elder Jyu'so and Gorrum.
"I'm Bright. How do you do?" Bright smiled.
"And you've met my daughter from what I've heard." Fan'r motioned at Lily who was carrying more chairs in. Bright and Winn moved over to help her with the chair. "Lily, have you said hi to Sir Gorrum and Elder Jyu'so?"
"Yes, Dad." Lily nodded.
"Do you need help with chairs?" Bright whispered at Lily. Lily nodded and Bright looked at Winn. The two nodded and set down chairs as the three wandered back into the kitchen.
"So," Fan'r cleared his throat, taking a glance at the rising Keng. "Why are you with… Keng?"
"Hello, sir." Keng bowed at Fan'r. Fan'r awkwardly nodded and bowed back.
"A lot has happened and he must deal with some affairs here before we can go to Pea'ir. I heard your daughter must accompany him, so we came with him to check on the status of For'wut. I heard the Ire hit you guys as well."
"Ah, it did. It was a strange one. Came outta nowhere!" Fan'r spoke. Bright, Winn and Lily brought more chairs out and placed them around. "But please sit. Let's discuss why you're here." Keng's stomach knotted as he awkwardly sat down. Jacob and Winn sat on either side of him while Lily sat next to Fan'r and Bright.
"So why are you here with Keng? Did something happen? Do you need my daughter sooner?" Fan'r asked getting right into business.
"Gorrum." Elder Jyu'so patted him. Gorrum nodded and summoned his Void Storage. "We have some gifts for you. I hope this will suffice our unannounced visit, Fan'r."
"Oh, you didn't need to give us gifts, Elder! You visiting is already a gift!" Fan'r shook his hands politely trying to decline the gifts.
"Here you go, sir." Gorrum handed the gift bag to Fan'r.
"T-thank you, Elder and Sir Gorrum. I appreciate it." Fan'r smiled. "But let's get down to why you came here with Keng." Sir Gorrum and Elder Jyu'so looked over at Keng. Keng sighed. The knots in his stomach were tightening. It was getting hard to breathe. Keng tried to let out a quiet steady breath but let out an anxious one as he stood up.
"How's Philip doing? I-I heard Lee Seng healed him…" Keng asked. It was quiet for a moment before Fan'r answered.
"He's doing fine. He's Curse-free, but he's been struggling from his fever. My wife is there helping him right now as we speak."
"He's… Sick?" Keng quietly mumbled. Fan'r nodded.
"If it weren't for Lee Seng, he would've died. Lee Seng manged to heal him but the Curse fever is something I've forgotten to worry about. The boy barely is awake for more than ten minutes before he's put back into slumber. We can't figure out why." Fan'r explained. Keng looked down and nodded.
"Elder, did you happen to bring the book with you?" Keng asked, looking up. Elder Jyu'so nodded.
"Yes, why?" Elder Jyu'so asked.
"Did it talk about Curse symptoms if a Curse wasn't fully destroyed?"
"Fully destroyed?" Winn's voice perked up. The Wang's were in shock by that comment and Winn's agitation came through. "What do you mean by that?" Winn stood up and grabbed Keng's shirt. "I thought my brother killed that thing. Eradicated it! Are you telling me he Cursed himself because he wanted to protect this place and it DIDN'T WORK?!?"
"Winn, enough." Fan'r sternly spoke. Winn glared into Keng's eyes as Keng continued to look at him.
"You couldn't even do your damn job and now you're telling me the Curse isn't eradicated?!? What good are you, Saviors?!?" Winn pushed Keng backwards into Jacob. Jacob pushed Keng up onto his feet as Winn marched right up to Keng. "You're useless so why are you here? If there's a Curse you should be dealing with that, not talking to us. Do your damn job, Savior."
