Lee Seng's red and blue eyes stared at the woman before him. The other Biohumans readied themselves, pointing their magicks at him. Lee Seng clicked his tongue.
'Is she, herself, a conduit for her powers?' Lee Seng wondered. 'Is she immune to all magical effects or does she have to pour out the energy like I do?' His eyes searched for the answer but her allies didn't wait for him. They fired off more abilities as she jumped towards him. 'She could do this because she can negate the effects.'
Lee Seng found himself trying to shield all of the attacks against him. The woman sliced through any attempt of a barrier as she tried to overpower him. Lee Seng didn't have time to make observations to help him. He deflected the attack, slipping backwards as his tails extended out and formed a shield. The woman slashed down on his tail, watching as the tails bounced her attacks off. Magic flew at him as he shielded himself from it.
At least his tails could block off most of the attacks. The earth shook, forcing him to slide sideways. Spikes flew out of the ground as his tails wrapped around him. He could feel the pressure of the spikes digging at him. Lee Seng flew straight into a mound of spikes, shattering them into tiny pieces as he unwrapped his tails, smashing anything in its way.
[Notice: Holy Fire was used. Your tails won't be able to protect you against this.]
Lee Seng clicked his tongue and sucked in a breath. His eyes quickly looked around.
'Where is she?' Lee Seng thought. He didn't see the woman anywhere. He spotted four or five balls of pure white flames flying at him and spun around. He ran to the nearest wall and quickly scribbled in the air. The rune lit up and carved a large hole. Lee Seng quickly turned, releasing another rune. The rune covered the space as he continued to back up into pure darkness.
'Thank god Keng studied some basic and advanced Fox runes.' Lee Seng thought to himself. Immense heat seeped through the earth walls, burning away the earth as Lee Seng forced himself to create a multi-layer bubble to protect himself. He groaned as he fought against the uncomfortable heat.
It felt like an eternity as he shielded himself. His clothes felt like they were gonna burn off and many, many, many thoughts were starting to pile up. The heat wave finally died down. The large amount of energy was done but Lee Seng kept the bubble up. He slumped onto the floor, letting out a sigh of relief as he winced at the hot floor.
"Ah!" He yelped. He quickly floated himself off the ground and looked at his hands. They weren't burnt but he had a feeling if he sat any longer, his butt and thighs would turn black.
"Where is he?" A distant voice asked.
"He was probably burnt to a crisp. Nothing could stand that amount of Holy Fire." Another voice replied.
"No, he's definitely still around." The woman spoke. "If we kill it, maybe they'll compensate us for such a wonderful specimen. Observers, make sure you scan through every nook and cranny. There would be something left of that creature. Even if we crisped it, someone could bring his body back."
"You mean that creepy woman named Queen and her people?" A fourth voice asked.
"Yes." The woman replied. "They were the ones who gave me this power. I should at least give them interesting specimens to work off of, no?"
'Huh? Queen and her people?' Lee Seng thought. 'What does that mean?' He spun around and started to scribble the next rune he needed.
"Do you think one of us could be blessed with powerful abilities?" The first voice asked.
"Loyalty already makes you chosen. You all work under me. Continue to be loyal to Queen and her Deimons and maybe we can all rise to the next step in evolution." The crowd began to cheer.
Lee Seng released the rune and listened to the obviously loud earth move. He carved the earth with this basic rune because gravity would've made things… Complicated. He carved the path straight for a while until he couldn't hear the people and quickly made a straight shot tunnel up.
"If we're following the logic of Digcraft, this should be safer than digging down, but I might have to anticipate stuff falling on me." Lee Seng spoke to himself as he pushed upwards. The ground became a bit harder as he carved the last rune above him. He watched the ground rip itself open, revealing a rusted metal car on top of it. He poked his head above the ground, looking around for anybody. When he was sure there weren't people around, he floated back into the hole and lifted his hand up at the car.
BOOSH!
The car went flying, rusted parts scattering as the car slammed into the ground. Lee Seng floated out of the hole and landed above land. He let out a sigh of relief as he shook off the dirt and dust on him and took in his surroundings. His eyes widened when he realized he had gone the correct way he was supposed to. An odd coffee sign he remembered passing by in Limbo had appeared.
'Thankfully I went the right way.' Lee Seng sighed in relief. He wiped the dirty sweat off of his forehead as he looked at the car and sighed. He wondered if anyone heard that as he took one last glance around before darting off.
'They definitely said Deimons.' Lee Seng processed. 'Queen and her Deimons… Does that mean there's more than one? The one inside of me isn't the only one..?'
He paused for a while.
"I should really assume I'm not the only one who was afflicted with this faux demon." Lee Seng muttered to himself. He quickly made it out of the city, his Fox form changing back to his Human form. He darted on the horrible road path for a while until he noticed a strange marking on a tree and turned off the path and into the forest.
'I need to get back to my body as soon as possible.' Lee Seng leapt over a fallen tree. 'I'll have to ask Cain why everyone can see me in my spiritual body.' He continued down the path imprinted in his head until the path ended in his head. He came to a stop, letting out heavy breaths as he looked around. His eyes scanned the area. It seemed like a regular forest.
"He definitely said it was here." Lee Seng mumbled. Lee Seng spun back to his original spot, not seeing anything. "If I murdered someone and hid the body in the forest, I'd make sure it wasn't found so… It's probably buried somewhere around here." His hand lit up as he squatted. He touched the ground and closed his eyes. The shaking energy started to spread as Lee Seng quietly waited for some sort of ping.
'What? Is a body literally gonna vibrate enough that it would register off–' Lee Seng began to think when something shook to his right. He opened his eyes, focusing on the spot.
"What the fuck." Lee Seng muttered. He stood up and moved over to the spot. "Let's hope you're here." He scribbled in the air and pushed it down onto the ground. The dirt pulled away, revealing some metal. Lee Seng frowned. "Well, I should've known better." He flicked his finger upwards and watched as the dirty metal was a collection of jewelry. A pendant necklace pulled out of the ground, pulling a bone out.
Lee Seng leaned in and noticed a bone sticking out. Was this what he was looking for? He crouched and set the floating jewelry and pendant off to the side. He began to lift the bones out of the ground. He blinked and his eyes noticed a faint energy radiating off of it. It felt familiar.
Beep!
He glanced at his watch.
[Spiritual Energy Match: 100%]
"Found you." Lee Seng whispered. As he lifted the bones, his necklace began to shake. "Wha–" A small mercury portal appeared in front of him.
Beep!
[Put the items into the portal.]
Lee Seng nodded and set the items in it. The mercury portal didn't disappear. It waited for him. He pointed at the jewelry and pendant, pulling it towards him. He grabbed the pendant. It looked like one of those pendants that had a picture in it. He tossed the rest of the jewelry into the portal and watched it close.
"What now?" Lee Seng asked.
Beep!
He glanced at his watch. It was an updated mission task.
[Go to the Plaza Apartments, Room 1024]
A holographic map appeared, routing him towards wherever this was. It was weeks away by foot. Lee Seng let out a sigh as he stood up and glanced at the pendant.
"Please have a picture of your lover." Lee Seng prayed aloud. He opened it and noticed a dirtied picture of two people. He blew the dirt away, revealing a man and a woman. He looked at the woman. She looked oddly familiar. "Wait." A blonde woman with green eyes and a warm smile sat next to her brunette husband. "I've definitely seen you before…"
