"Ma'am, I think we should leave." The Observer told her Captain. Captain Childs extinguished most of the fire, taking in what she had done to the place. More bodyguards ran over, noticing Captain Childs and saluting.
"Ma'am!" The bodyguards greeted her. Captain Childs turned her eyes over to her men and nodded.
"Check for Eleven." Captain Childs ordered. The Observer turned her attention to checking the wreckage. The two bodyguards moved towards the destroyed building and flew in. Captain Childs folded her arms and waited. The next best case scenario was that the kid was dead. "It would be a wonderful favor if he did die from that…"
A moment later, the loud noises of a door being broken was heard followed by shouts. Captain Childs turned to her Observer, who looked at her.
"No signs of life." The Observer shook her head. The floating guards came back and Captain Chidls turned her attention onto them. They shook their heads at her and Captain Childs turned.
"Lockdown this entire area. Evacuate those who need to be evacuated and keep your goddamn eyes out for Eleven, got it?" Captain Childs looked at her men.
If it wasn't for Lee Seng's Number power, the screams of Evan and the others would've exposed them. Lee Seng let out a sigh of relief as he dropped to one of the nearby rooftops. Evan instantly dropped and kissed the ground, thankful he was not floating in the air anymore.
"Did you see the building?" Liz asked. She was leaned over, hands on her knees trying get rid of the adrenaline coursing through her body. "Four floors were all blown up! That woman's power was insane!"
"We need to go further." Manny told them. He looked around, noticing the flames of the building they had just escaped from, being swarmed with more helicopters. Manny turned to look at the group, noticing most of them were collecting themselves.
"Helicopter's coming towards us." Olivia pointed out. They watched the helicopter fly past them towards the building.
"We should go." Manny motioned. "Before someone notices us."
"Look." Ritsuka pointed at another helicopter. "Another one." It zoomed by. It was a red helicopter. LEe seng could spot at least three guys near the doors.
"Fire and Rescue." Lee Seng sighed. "Let's go."
"W-wait, wait, wait." Evan huffed. "I'm n-not ready… For another one."
"We either get caught or you let your soul fly away another time."
"What if… What if my soul does-doesn't come back?" Evan asked. Lee Seng shook his head and extended a hand out to Evan.
"You'll be fine. Just close your eyes. It's not like this is going to be the last time we'll be in this position."
"That doesn't… Help at all." Evan grabbed Lee Seng's hand and stood up. Evan nervously looked around, not wanting to go near another edge. "C-can we just… Not do it? We could just go down the stairs."
"That's honestly less suspicious than flying." Liz agreed.
"Knowing them, they'll be under the guise of working for the Creator." Manny spoke up. "They'll lock the West side out and look for anything suspicious. We're better off flying at a speed that's almost unrecognizable to the human eye."
"Where are we-we going then?" Evan asked. Lee Seng's phone buzzed somewhere within the dark suit again. He pulled the phone out and noticed the text messages from Valen, Chrono and Calis.
Valen: Are you okay?
Valen: Where are you?
Valen: Calis says you have friends over! What're you going to do?
Lee Seng: We managed to get out of the building but need somewhere to go. Should we head over to you guys?
Chrono: I heard the situation was bad from Calis. Sending eyes. Try to get somewhere safe.
Calis: What happened? Are you okay?
Calis: I told Commander Chimera and their men about this.
Calis: Meet me at the base?
Lee Seng: I'm bringing my friends with.
Lee Seng stuffed his phone into the Dark Matter suit and nodded at MAnny.
"Alright, let's get ready then." Manny told everyone.
"W-wait, I'm not ready." Evan shook his head. He began to back off as Lee Seng quickly rushed behind Evan and knocked him out. Evan fell into Lee Seng's arms as Ritsuka pointed at him.
"Why'd you do that?!? H-he didn't need to be knocked out!" Ritsuka told him. "I know he's a lot, but he can handle it."
"It's better this way." Lee Seng replied, holding Evan in his arms. "One less loud person screaming in my ear while we're flying. Come on. Gather round." The group moved close together, bracing themselves for what was to come next.
"Where are we going?" Manny asked Lee Seng.
"Want to meet allies of mine?" Lee Seng raised his eyebrows.
"Allies? You have allies here? Who?"
Lee Seng smiled, letting the cosmic energy gather in between them. The energy began to grow, sparking and igniting. A large tear of space and reality grew in between them as Calis's room appeared before them. Lee Seng had clearly remembered the space, but wasn't too sure if the portal move would work with an entire group.
"Go." Lee Seng told them.
"Wait, we're not flying?" Olivia asked. "You could do this the entire time?"
"It's a work in progress." Lee Seng replied. "I don't know if it can take more than one person. Go. Take Evan, Ritsuka." Lee Seng handed Evan over and nodded for Ritsuka to go first. Ritsuka stepped into the portal, stepping into a white room with a bed against the wall. A dresser stood a couple feet away from it as he continued to look around.
"Go." Lee Seng told the group. The girls looked at each other before deciding to jump in one after another.
"What is this place?" Liz asked. Manny stepped in as the portal began to fizzle. Lee Seng quickly hopped in as the portal closed, almost shredding his toe apart. Lee Seng landed with a loud thud, sliding into Manny, who almost toppled over.
"Are you okay?" Manny asked, giving Lee Seng a helping hand. Lee Seng's body felt heavy. He grabbed Manny's hand, who noticed the change in his weight and tried harder to pull Lee Seng up onto his feet.
Ritsuka set Evan down on the bed and turned to face the group. Lee Seng wobbled side to side as Manny propped him up.
"Are you fine?" Manny asked.
"Yeah, I guess it takes a lot out of me to use that spell." Lee Seng answered. He motioned for Manny to let him go and Manny hesitantly stepped away.
"Where are we?" Liz asked. "This room is so… plain and bleak. Are we in the lab or something?"
"No." Lee Seng shook his head. "I tried to get us to the Fox's base. This should be Calis's room…" His phone began to go off as he fumbled for it. The Dark Matter suit peeled away, revealing his t-shirt and shorts. Lee Seng pulled the phone out and noticed Chrono was calling.
"Hello?" Lee Seng answered the phone.
"I just sensed a strong disturbance within the base. It felt like you. Where are you?" Chrono asked.
"Maybe I'm in the base. I dunno." Lee Seng looked around. "White room, two doors. A twin bed against the corner with a drawer… It looks like Calis's room." Lee Seng turned around to look for the runic circle.
"Keep your energy up for me. Me and some other sensors are searching for the energy. Hopefully it's you." Chrono ordered. Lee Seng nodded and allowed the cosmic energy to swirl around him.
"It's over here!" A voice shouted.
"It might be Lee Seng. Be careful!" Chrono shouted. Lee Seng listened as footsteps rushed at the door, throwing it open. A three tailed Fox stepped into the room, registering the large amount of people in here. She immediately threw her hand up, pointing her finger like a gun at the group.
"Who are you?" The three tailed Fox asked. She eyed Lee Seng, whom she was most suspicious of. "I found intruders!"
"We're not—" An energy bullet flew past Lee Seng, hitting the wall.
"Don't talk." The three tailed Fox ordered.
"Why did I hear a gunshot?" Chrono asked through the phone.
"I found the intruder! There's six of them. One's unconscious." The three tailed Fox responded.
"A new subordinate?" Lee Seng asked. "Chrono I don't think they know who I am." The female Fox narrowed her eyes.
"How do you know who that is?" The Fox asked. She pointed her finger gun at him. Manny and the others eyed each other, ready to tackle the humanoid being that resembled a lot like what Lee Seng and Keng were. The female Fox nervously took a step forward, shaking the finger gun at him. "Answer me!"
"That's cause he's your senior." Chrono answered. A hand flew out, grabbing the young Fox and pulling her backwards.
"S-senior Chrono! Aren't these bad guys?" The female Fox asked.
"No, Felicity. They are friends of a friend." Chrono answereed. Her eyes studied Lee Seng for a moment, realizing something Felicity hadn't.
'You lost your Fox powers?' Chrono telepathically asked.
'Long story.' Lee Seng replied. 'Can you help us? Things are going to shit.'
