Evan hopped through the portal without hesitation after the beam of light flew into it. He yelled as his body literally manifested into the same space as Olivia. He landed on the ground and rushed to Olivia.
"Alex!" Hayley shouted. "Argh! Do something!"
"You're too damn loud! I can't concentrate!" Alex shouted. Hayley grunted as she tossed a fireball. It flew past Alex and hit the bleachers. The flames licked the bleachers as Lee Seng jumped into the portal.
"Come on, let's go!" Evan pulled Olivia's hand. Olivia flinched before realizing what was happening. Evan pulled her along as Lee Seng landed. "Another one!"
"You want me to do—"
"Just do it!" Evan shouted. Lee Seng rolled his eyes as he put his two hands together.
"Who's that?" Alex asked. He forced his eyes open and realized it was Olivia's teammates. They had somehow managed to gather in a single space. "How's that—"
"Move outta the way! Dragon's Breath!" Hayley pulled Alex away as she released a fiery breath at Lee Seng.
"Lee Seng!" Evan shouted, stopping. The kinetic shield raised as Evan put himself in front of Olivia. Olivia rubbed her eyes as she saw bits and pieces of what was going on.
"No!" Olivia shouted. "No!!" Olivia pushed past Evan, who fought to keep her besides him.
"You can't!"
"Lee Seng!" Olivia shouted. "Nooo!" Dragon's Breath ignited everything in front of Hayley. The roof, basketball hoop, and bleachers were burning with fiery energy as Hayley closed her mouth. She stumbled as the energy drained from her body.
"Hayley! We weren't trying to kill them!" Alex shouted. He grabbed her and pushed her to the ground. He hovered over her with angry eyes. "How could you—"
"You monster!" Olivia shouted. "Why did you do that?!? You killed a human!"
"A human?" Hayley's lips curled. She lifted her head up and looked at Alex. Her eyes glowed a crimson color – something Alex had never seen before. "He killed my friend. Of course, I should pay back that much, right?"
"W-who are you?" Alex took a step back. "Y-you're not Ha-Hayley."
"It took you long enough, handsome." Hayley's voice raised a bit. The girl Alex and Olivia had both known for years suddenly shredded that image, literally. The strawberry hair still stayed on the girl, but her tan skin was replaced with a pale complexion. She wore a crop top, netted leggings, and short shorts with sneakers. Her lips were black like her eyeshadow.
"Who are you?" Olivia asked.
"Who am I?" The doppelganger looked at Olivia. She rolled onto her back and pushed herself up with her hands and landed on her feet gracefully. "I'm the one behind this whole mess of a space." She giggled as she turned her torso to look at Olivia and Evan.
The burning body of Lee Seng burned brightly. She turned her attention to it and smiled at it. Alex stumbled closer to it as a hand shot up and pulled him away from it. Alex screamed as the burning body of Lee Seng pulled him to safety. All the flames on Lee Seng extinguished in an instant. The clothes he was wearing was replaced with a dark gray skin tight suit. Even his head was covered with some sort of strange mask. He pulled it off and sighed in relief.
"Didn't know it would do that." Lee Seng chuckled. "I guess danger really makes you experiment."
"W-w-w-what the fuck?!?" Alex screamed, dropping himself onto the floor. Lee Seng glooked over at him and smiled. Alex noticed the glowing number '11' on Lee Seng's left pec. "E-Eleven? W-wait, are you a—You can't. There aren't Eleven of you!" Lee Seng looked down and smiled.
"Oh! You can see it now!" Lee Seng chuckled. He dissolved the mask as the strange girl grew defensive. "Who are you? I don't think I've seen you before." She glared at him as her body hunched forward. Her legs bent and her right hand floated in front of her like she was holding a weapon, ready to pounce.
"You did get all of his powers." The girl smirked. "How does it feel? You're one of twenty people to kill their Deimons and gain their powers Lee Seng Chang."
"Lee Seng? L-Liv wasn't kidding?" Alex looked at Olivia. "You weren't kidding?!? This is Lee Seng. The Lee Seng? The troublemaker?"
"In the flesh." Lee Seng answered. The dark suit pulsed, moving around as Lee Seng's eyes kept focused on the girl. "I assume you're a Deimon?"
"Ain't you informed?" The girl smiled. She stood up and gave a graceful bow. "D1642 – Electra D – atcha service."
"Electra D." Lee Seng nodded. He lifted his hand up. The Dark Matter swarmed his hand and grew a sword. "Who do you work for Electra? Do you work for Captain Childs?"
"That numbskull?" Electra chuckled. "Hell no! I wouldn't be caught with a brute like that!" Lee Seng flashed forward, swiping at Electra. The nimble girl bent herself immediately, hand hitting the floor as she spun a windmill kick at Lee Seng. Electra forced Lee Seng backwards as she jumped off her hands and landed gracefully onto her feet, once again.
'What should we do?' Evan asked.
'It's a Deimon. Do you want to get involved?' Lee Seng asked.
'What if she's behind this?'
"What did you do to all those people?" Alex asked. Electra and the others looked at him. Electra's lips curled into a sinister smile. "What did you do to Hayley? What happened to all of my friends?"
"You willingly split up." Electra told him. "She willingly disappeared into the trap of this spell because she was curious." Alex's face grew dark. "You know what I'm talking about, right, Alex? If only you listened…"
"Shut up!" Alex shouted. He stood up and puffed his chest. "You don't know anything!"
"But I was her! I am her!" Electra chuckled. Lee Seng stepped forward, swinging the blade. The Dark Matter blade extended, flying at Electra's neck. The blade sliced straight through her neck as her smile grew. She burst into flames and swarmed closer to the door.
"Rude." Electra cracked her neck as she manifested. "You obviously don't know what your own power is. I guess that's what you get for letting a mutt infest you."
"Where are my friends?!? Where's Hayley?!?" Alex rushed forward. A hissing sound flew out of Electra's mouth. Lee Seng's Dark Matter wrapped around Alex and yanked him backwards. Fire flowers bloomed into existence, hissing.
"Awh, I thought I would get to kill one of you…" Electra frowned. She poked her cheek and smiled. "I guess that's what happens when a Biohuman manages to beat a Deimon."
"Let me go!" Alex shouted. "I need to find my friend!" Dark Matter expanded and grew like tree roots, spreading all over Alex and muffling his voice.
"You would use all that firepower and blow your cover?" Lee Seng asked. "I don't think whoever you're working for would like it."
"You're wrong. They won't care if this small village turns to dust." Electra smiled. "I got what I wanted already, you're just a bonus. Because you're here, I should really show what I'm made of, right?" The fire flowers bloomed all over the gymnasium. Lee Seng threw Alex towards Olivia and Evan as Dark Matter arms grew out of his back.
The arms flew outwards, hitting each flower before they could burst. Electra cursed as she exploded some of the flowers, creating some more fiery explosions with her hands.
"Let's see what you do, Eleven!" Electra shouted. "Will you be able to find the one who's behind the magical spell before they either die in the fire or my flaming skulls? Impress me!" Electra lit up in flames and cackled. Electra disappeared, leaving the blooming flowers behind.
"Dammit!" Lee Seng shouted. "There's too many flowers to hit!"
"Wh-what do we do now?" Evan asked. "We need to evacuate!"
"The flaming skulls are stopping anyone from leaving!" Lee Seng shouted. "We have to kill them!"
"Mmm!" Alex shouted. Olivia moved over to Alex and looked at the tight binds on him.
"Release him!" Olivia shouted. Lee Seng released Alex and continued to hit the flowers.
"We need to find the rest before it blows up!" Alex shouted. "This is why we told you to stay away!"
"You knew about this?" Olivia asked. Alex stood up and wiped his mouth.
"I thought you would understand what we were trying to say."
"I didn't! I thought you didn't want to see me after what happened!"
"Is this the time to talk?" Evan asked. "Let's find the others." Olivia nodded and looked around. The blooming fires were quickly outnumbering Lee Seng. She clicked her tongue and pulled Alex over to Evan.
"You two find the teams and get the people to safety! I'm going to stay and help Lee Seng!" Olivia shouted.
"W-what? You'll die if you do that!" Alex protested. Olivia shook her head.
"I know what I'm getting myself into! You and I both know this is where I shine the best!" Olivia told him. She looked over at Lee Seng and then to Evan. "How the hell are we going to do this?"
"Argh!" Lee Seng grunted. The red-purple and blue-purple eyes lit up in cosmic light. Lee Seng raised up into the air as Lee Seng's twelve arms continued to hit the blooming fire flowers. "Olivia! This is the only way!"
"What is?" Evan asked.
"Evan… You and… Sensory guy get ready to find people…! Olivia!"
