Chapter 741 Day Sky, Night Time

Name:Biohuman Author:
The night had quickly come and went and came, again as Manny, Ritsuka and Lily quickly ran through the forest. Lily's body was burning gold as her eyes scanned through the forest. A bright gold beacon lit up the forest.

"There's one right there, too!" Manny pointed the opposite direction.

"That's going towards the Temple!" Ritsuka shouted. "What's going on"

"Gold and silver." Lily whispered. "This isn't good!" Lily sprinted towards the golden beam of light. Her entire body was screaming to find Lee Seng before it was too late. "Please be okay… Please be okay…" Lily came to a skittering stop. Gold and silver flames licked the forest, not burning a single thing as the beam of golden light blinded her. She threw her arm up and turned away, slightly as Ritsuka and Manny came up on it.

"Is that him?!?" Manny asked, loudly.

"I-I think so!" Lily replied. Manny was the first to move towards the golden beam of light. The sky was in a state of strange night and day. Thunder clouds had formed out of nowhere near the gold and silver beams of light. Each step Manny took, he could feel the intense energy. A blast of light flew out, pushing Manny and the others back.

Manny pushed forward, again with Lily and Ritsuka following. Waves of golden light flew outwards, pushing them back. Lightning bolts fell from the sky, hitting the ground. Ritsuka yelped, scooting backwards.

"Manny! Lily! Be careful!" Ritsuka shouted.

"I'm coming for you, Lee!" Manny shouted. He threw his hand out, trying to grasp on the golden energy. He slowly scooted forward as Lily's light burned brighter. Another blast of golden light pushed Manny into a tree. Lily slid backwards a couple feet, throwing her arms up. She slowly marched forward, each step growing heavier than the last.

'Song 2: The Song That Never Fades.' Lily closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She began to sing as pink energy swirled around her. A large image of a woman appeared, shielding her. The aggressive energy dissipated. The golden beam of light burned brightly as Lily continued to sing. Her voice swirled into high notes, setting the apparition around her free. The woman flew towards the beam of light, circling it with a small smile.

The apparition stuck her arms into the light, fighting against the intense beam as lightning bolts hit the ground. A lightning bolt flew straight for Lily. She looked up and watched as it came for her.

"Guide me from the storms that shall come my way~" Lily sang. "Shield me, I pray."

"Lily!" Ritsuka shouted. Ritsuka's hand flew into the Void as he pulled a shield out. The shield was an ornate white metal shield with gold and silver artwork on it. Lily had given it to him after learning he could tap into the weapon's magical potential. "Zenith Shield!" Ritsuka exploded in a silver and gold light mixed with his own dark blue energy. He rushed forward and the next thing Ritsuka knew, he was in front of Lily, raising the shield. The lightning cracked down onto the shield. Angerfang's red energy surrounded the shield, absorbing the lightning as Lily continued to sing.

The apparition pushed her hands all the way through the light and pulled, releasing the golden Lee Seng. Lee Seng's skin was golden with honey brown hair. The beam of light disappeared, leaving the silver and golden flames as their light.

"Lee!" Manny stood up and rushed over to his childhood friend. The apparition turned, dropping Lee Seng into Manny's arms before disappearing with Lily's song. Lily hunched over and let out a deep sigh. The song had taken a lot out of her. Her entire body bounced with anxiety and adrenaline.

"Are you okay?" Ritsuka asked Lily. Lily nodded and tried to stand, losing her balance. Ritsuka grabbed her and noticed Lily was pale. "You're not okay! You're drained from that song!"

"It'll… pass." Lily told him.

"Lee! Lee!" Manny lightly tapped Lee Seng's face. The golden boy's face began to sour like he was interrupted in his sleep.

"Mmmm!" Lee Seng groaned. He weakly swatted Manny's hand away from him. "Let me sleep more, Mom…"

"Lee! Wake up, I'm not your mom! Something crazy just happened to you!" Manny shook the golden boy awake. Lee Seng groaned in frustration as he sat up, pulling himself away from Manny.

"What?" Lee Seng looked over to Manny. Manny began to say something when Lee Seng's eyes caught his attention.

"Holy smokes." Manny gasped. Lee Seng gave Manny the 'what' look but got nothing from him.

"What? Holy smokes what?" Lee Seng scooted away from Manny.

"Y-you're…" Manny pointed at Lee Seng's eyes. Lee Seng turned his attention to his surroundings. Gold and silver flames danced around the forest, not burning a single thing. Ritsuka had just gotten Lily onto her feet and began to turn when Lily's eyes went wide.

"Oh, dear gods!" Lily gasped in Fox tongue.

"Hm?" Ritsuka followed Lily's look onto Lee Seng. "Holy shit! What happened to your eyes?!?"

"My eyes?" Lee Seng asked. He looked at Manny, who continued to stare in disbelief. "What about them? Am I blind? I can still see you…" Lee Seng touched his face, checking for any scars.

"No… Your eyes… They have a gold ring now." Ritsuka answered.

"They always do when I'm…" Lee Seng's voice trailed off.

"Team!" Evan shouted over the inner comms. "You'll never guess what just happened! Keng lit up in silver light! He practically made it daytime!"

"Is everything alright on your side?" Liz asked.

"Y-yea, now it is." Manny answered. "What happened? Keng lit up, too?"

"Too? Did that happen to Lee Seng? Is he okay? Is he not a cocoon?"

"A cocoon?" Lee Seng whispered. "When did I… Oh." The memories flooded his mind like a river pouring into the sea. It was rough to separate things at first, but it slowly became quiet.

"Y-yeah, but I'm not sure if he's okay or not." Manny whispered. He watched Lee Seng space out. Lee Seng's mind was elsewhere. Manny poked his head in front of Lee Seng and even waved his hand in front of his face but got nothing. "I think he's out of it… We-we'll come back to you. Lily used too much energy trying to pull Lee Seng out."

"Return quickly. Keng's acting… odd." Liz replied. The comms shut off and Ritsuka held Lily up as Manny shook Lee Seng.

"Hey, Earth to Lee Seng. Hello?" Manny said. He shook him a couple of times before Lee Seng snapped out of it. Lee Seng turned to look at Manny, who stood up. "C'mon, let's go back to the Temple." Manny extended his hand.

'I'm so confused. Why did the beam of light come down?' Lee Seng thought as he hoisted himself up with Manny's help. Manny patted his back and walked next to Lee Seng, asking him questions he was clearly not listening to. Ritsuka and Lily followed at a slower pace as Lee Seng's mind continuously asked the same question.

'What does the spawn have to do with any of this?'

It took Lee Seng, Manny, Ritsuka and Lily almost two hours to get home. Manny and Lee Seng had to slow down enough for Ritsuka and Lily to stay in sight. They didn't want to risk anything after Lee Seng's light show.

Evan was outside waiting when the group arrived. He quickly descended the stairs and waved for the group to go in. Lee Seng was the first to notice it. He felt an odd energy he had never felt before. He turned to look at Ritsuka when he caught Lily's knowing glance.

'Does she sense it, too?' Lee Seng asked himself. They climbed the stairs and entered the Temple. The Temple's layout had changed once again and looked cozier. There were more rooms, a couple additional bathrooms and the library was easily spotted from the front door.

"Where is he?" Lee Seng asked.

"Well…" Evan spun on his heel and rubbed his head. "He's in the library."

"No, no, no, no, no, no!" Keng screamed. Books flew out of the door, hitting the ground. "It's all wrong!"

"He's… been like that for a while now." Evan awkwardly chuckled. Lee Seng broke away from Manny and the group and slowly made his way over to the library. Lee Seng made it to the corner, turned and watched as a book flew straight for him. Lee Seng, without much thought, grabbed the book in front of his face and looked at it.

The Twin Suns

Lee Seng looked at the other books and watched as the books lifted and moved inside the library. Keng frantically muttered to himself as he flipped through pages of a book.

"Not it either!" Keng shouted. He threw the book into the large pile and grabbed another one. "I have to find it! I have to find it!"

"Find what?" Lee Seng asked. He set the books on the table and watched Keng completely ignore him.
