Keng avoided Lee Seng's eyes. He removed his hand from Calis and started to turn when Lee Seng focused his finger onto Keng. He felt it burning at him like it was a silent order to explain himself.
"I felt that! What the hell was that?!?" Lee Seng asked. He scrambled onto his feet and brushed his butt as seven tails sprawled behind him. Lee Seng's ears were perked up and he was grinning. "That feeling is old and I haven't felt it in many years, but is this what I think it is?" He pushed his face into Keng's shoulder, who elbowed his twin in the stomach and forced him backwards.
"K-Keng!" Calis stuttered, turning to the flustered Silver Fox. "Y-you let out your power!" Keng quickly disappeared, leaving Calis with a smiling Lee Seng and the entire team's eyes on them. Lee Seng scrambled onto his knees and scooted towards Calis. "W-what? What do you want?"
"I felt that." Lee Seng grinned. He pointed at Calis and then to the empty spot where Keng was. "Don't tell me you—"
"Dude, piss off!" Calis blurted out before disappearing into thin air. Lee Seng sighed and straightened himself out. The sadness he had felt was gone. It was replaced by a familiar feeling he had almost forgotten.
"Lee! Where'd the other two go?!? Are they gonna eat?" Ritsuka asked.
"I dunno." Lee Seng stood up. "We aren't in a rush are we? The guy who's supposed to look for the Cup disappeared, so we might as well recoup some more, hm?" Lee Seng skipped over to the group.
"Why are you happy all of a sudden? Weren't you sad earlier?" Manny asked, giving Lee Seng a plate. Lee Seng took it and sat next to Manny and Evan. Manny started to pick out stuff for Lee Seng to eat.
"I know something that I can't say now! Man, this feels good after crying for so long!" Lee Seng smiled.
"Is he… fine?" Liz whispered to Manny. Manny shrugged. The happy Lee Seng he knew was back and it was definitely an odd sight.
Keng blipped into existence. He was on top of the building his friends were in. He let out a couple of breaths as he clutched his chest.
"Damn it, Lee… You almost threw me out to the wolves!" Keng hissed.
"Keng!" Calis called out, appearing further away from Keng. Keng noticed Calis and turned away.
"Go away. I wanna be alone!" Keng shouted.
"D-dude, what's wrong with Lee? He's acting so weird!" Calis made his way over to Keng who turned and peeked over the edge. Lee Seng thought about jumping out of the situation. He wouldn't die. Calis stopped, giving Keng enough distance to think. The last two years of spending time with Keng, he learned what made Keng tick and his little things like space. "What's wrong with him? Why'd you leave? W-what was he saying about the feeling—"
"Shh!" Keng turned around and hushed Calis. Calis froze at the hush as the Fox Spirit quickly turned away. "It's nothing. I-I just need some alone time that's all. We gotta figure out this seventh tail thing."
"What's it about?" Calis asked, allowing the subject change to happen. Keng's body relaxed a bit as he turned around.
"Power Condensation. Have you ever heard of such a thing?" Keng asked. Calis thought for a while and nodded.
"I heard from some of the other Fox Spirits that Power Condensation is when one condenses their power into something. I'm not sure what it exactly is… Why are you asking?"
"I got the prompt for it."
"So… What're you going to do now? Condense now? Wh-what happens if you condense it and it puts Lee Seng into the same set?" Calis asked. Keng sighed and lowered his head. Calis had asked the same question he had.
"That's what I'm wondering." Keng ruffled his hair. His ears twitched and lowered while the white tails curled around Keng. "I didn't really get any information on this sort of thing happening… Ugh, I wish we could call someone…"
"You technically can." Calis commented. Keng looked up and Calis nodded. He pointed at the mask strapped to his side. "The mask has a communication function. I'm pretty sure you could—"
"Right! I forgot that it wasn't tuned just to us!" Keng summoned the Fox mask and put it on. "Call… Can you call?" The mask's setting flipped on and a bunch of runes appeared. "Call Jyu'so." The mask began to dial like a normal phone. The runes faded and the dialing went on a while until Keng heard a click.
"Hello? Who is this?" Jyu'so asked.
"Master Jyu'so!" Keng excitedly replied.
"Oh! Keng? How is this possible? Are you in Daros?"
"N-not exactly. I'm trying to find the Cup."
"Oh, great. I heard Lee Seng woke up. You should give him my regards! If I had time, I would come visit!"
"It's alright, sir! I actually called you because I had a question." Keng shook his hands in front of him.
"Go on, Savior Keng. What is it?"
"What's Power Condensation?" Keng asked. Jyu'so was silent for awhile. It wasn't until he smacked his lips and sighed.
"Have you… evolved, recently?" Jyu'so asked after a moment of silence.
"Yes." Keng nodded. Jyu'so sighed.
"Power Condensation condenses your power into a set amount of abilities and powers. If you have a wide variety of skills, powers, and abilities, it will tune you to what Bead you chose. Tell me, Keng, do you know what you chose?"
"Well…" Keng scratched his neck. "Lee picked a gold bead."
"Gold… Of course, it was what made you Saviors." Jyu'so mumbled.
"Do the beads really determine a Fox Spirit's path?" Keng asked.
"Not always. Black, white, red are the three beads a Fox is given. Those who are greedy ask for something else, but those who grab one of the three are split accordingly - black the warrior, white the helper and red the spirit. They are vague but we typically know black gives us fighters, white bead users give us supporters and red gives us mages. Those who have gotten gold typically lead a life either in the vein of white bead users or a path carved by the gods."
"That makes sense so far…" Keng replied. "So it will probably relate to my Savior abilities?"
"That I would assume so. I don't think your bead will be much of a thing here. Gold beads usually mean an early death which you two haven't quite reached… even though you've come so close to it many a time… Bah! I am getting off track. I would assume your powers would condense to fit a champion of Light." Jyu'so summarized. "You will grow stronger because of that, but you might lose a lot in the process. Do you really wish to do it?"
"I'm not sure." Keng replied. "I'll have to ask Lee Seng about this. We're currently on a mission and I don't want our Classes to change, again."
"A class change… It can happen multiple times throughout our lives… I would talk to Lee Seng and see what will happen. I cannot say if you two will be different or not. You are the first of your kind."
"Alright, Master. Thank you for the information." Keng smiled. "Once all of this is over, I'll bring Lee over!"
"Alright, Savior. I shall see you soon. Good luck on your journey!"
Keng pulled his mask off and watched it disappear. Calis was sitting next to him, watching.
"Got everything you need?" Calis asked. Keng nodded.
"C'mon, let's go eat!" Keng grabbed Calis and the two of them disappeared from the rooftop. They appeared at the bottom, twenty or so feet from Lee Seng and the others.
"There they are." Olivia pointed. Calis glanced around as Keng released his hold on him and stood up.
"Yo! Is there still food? I'm hungry." Keng smiled and walked over.
"Come get some food! It's still warm!" Manny shouted. Calis sighed and stood up and moved over to eat with the rest of the group. Lee Seng eyed Keng as he picked through his food.
"Lee, I gotta talk to you about the Power Condensation thing." Keng looked at Lee Seng.
"Hm? What about it? Y'know what it is now?" Lee Seng asked.
"Yeah. I called Master Jyu'so about it."
"You called your Master about it? How?" Ritsuka asked.
"The mask." Keng replied. "Apparently you can call people with it."
"True." Calis nodded.
"So what did he say?" Lee Seng asked.
"It'll combine all of our powers, abilities, skills, and stats and fit it to fit our bead." Keng replied. "Although, our bead is gold and it means… early death… He's thinking it'll have to do with Savior stuff."
"That doesn't sound good." Evan commented. Lee Seng set his plate in between his thighs and sighed.
"Okay." Le Seng nodded. "What's the likelihood it'll affect us separately?"
"That… I don't know. We're just gonna have to take a chance." Keng shrugged.
"Wouldn't that be dangerous, then?" Manny asked. "You two would be the exact spitting power sets of each other… On top of that, you two look alike already. Do you really want to risk that?"
"He'll have Hydrosphere and I'll have Cthulu's Moon… hopefully. I think we'll be different." Lee Seng casually answered.
"H-how can you be so sure?" Manny asked. "Aren't you scared something might happen? That one of you will—"
"It won't happen like that." Lee Seng looked at Manny. He slowly looked at everyone else. "Don't worry. I'm sure nothing bad will happen. Every tail has given us something much better to work with. I'm sure the seventh tail is the same."
"Plus we're closer to immortality." Keng shrugged. "How bad could it get?"
