The Nagas were one entity… Well, two in one, some would say. Naga 2 yanked Gabs the Naga as she lashed forward. Lee Seng jumped away, pulling Olivia close. The Naga slammed down. Rocks and water exploded everywhere as Gabs the Naga opened their mouth.
"I don't want to play… I want to leave…!" Gabs complained. Miasma spilled from their mouth. The second Naga giggled as it turned its head and lashed forward. "Stop yanking me…! I don't like it when you… do that…!"
"Then keep on spilling the miasma!" The second Naga barked. Gabs frowend as it kept its mouth opened. The second Naga jumped for Lee Seng, smiling. "How long will you be able to keep up?!? You can't protect yourself and her from both me and my other half! Let's see how you fare!"
The second Naga swung at Lee Seng with its sharp claws. Lee Seng threw up a barrier, watching it explode instantly. The second Naga swung, again, raking her claws against Lee Seng's chest before he jumped away.
"Lee!" Olivia shouted. "Are you—" Olivia winced as the burning feeling grew, once again. Lee seng ignored the pain on his body and looked at Olivia.
"I'm fine. You should—"
"He turned his head away from us!" Naga shouted. "Stupid Fox!" The Naga rushed at Lee Seng, baring its fangs and claws straight for Lee Seng. Just when Lee Seng thought the Naga would attack, it switched.
"Goodbye…" Gabs softly spoke. Gabs' eyes lit up. A flash of bright purple flew out, blinding Lee Seng and Olivia. "Poisonous Gaze…"
[Olivia and User have been afflicted by Poison.]
Olivia screamed in pain. The flames inside of her burned with fury. She squirmed while Lee Seng moved. The second Naga screamed as it lashed forward, hitting Lee Seng across the chest. It's claws dug into Lee Seng, pushing poison into his body.
"Argh!" Lee Seng pushed the Naga away, sending it into the waters.
"Lee, are you okay?" Olivia coughed. Lee Seng came to a stop and coughed. Lee Seng's golden energy expanded outwards, wrapping around both Lee Seng and Olivia.
"Can we stop… Sally…?" Gabs sadly asked. The Nagas lifted themselves up and looked at the glowing Fox and human in his tails. "I don't want to fight anymore… If we fight—"
"We grow stronger!" Sally shouted. Sally rushed forward, forcefully dragging Gabs along with her. "Do it! Do it now, Gabs!" Gabs sighed and started to sing.
"The poison thickens. The poison grows. The poison thrives. The poison knows… Let the poison fester and grow." Gabs sung. Sally rushed at Lee Seng, who watched with careful eyes. Golden energy wrapped around Lee Seng, burning the air around him.
"Here they come." Lee Seng whispered. He kept Olivia close as a golden blade of snakes and sun grew in his hand. "Let's see what you're capable of, Sun Blade." He swung the katana to his side and watched as the Double-end Naga came at him. The poison within their bodies shook causing the poison to boil. Lee Seng and Olivia gritted their teeth.
The Sun Blade grew hot as it pulled energy around Lee Seng. Lee Seng let out a sigh and raised the katana to block. Purple and golden energy pushed against each other while Lee Seng pushed against Sally. Sally gritted her teeth as she swung her tail. Gabs swung forward, baring her claws as she swiped at Lee Seng.
"Freeze." Olivia threw her hand up. Gabs gasped, freezing in place. Lee Seng pushed Sally and swung straight for Gabs. Sally hissed as she yanked Gabs away. Olivia groaned in pain.
"Are you sure you should be using your energy?" Lee Seng asked, pulling Olivia to hover next to him.
"It's a two on two fight. I can support you just fi— aghh!" Oliva groaned. The poison in her system was making everything worse. Lee Seng looked over at her and lifted his hand. "No, keep your energy. Y-you'll need it…" Olivia pushed his hand away.
"But—"
"Gabs, what're you doing? You had a clean hit and you didn't take it!" Sally pushed Gabs into the wall. She shook her finger and rolled her eyes. It was clear enough the two Nagas weren't used to their forms. Sally grabbed Gabs' face and pushed her head into the wall. "You're ruining this for the both of us! We'll never get out at this rate! Work hard or else we'll have to resort to it!"
"N-no! Anything but that, Sally! Please!" Gabs begged.
"Then you should do better, Gabs!" Sally shouted. She whipped her self around and narrowed her eyes at Lee Seng and Olivia. "I will kill both of you and savor every bite from you!" Sally rushed forward, yanking Gabs with her. "Rush of Poison!" Sally and Gabs blurred, appearing a couple feet in front of Lee Seng. Lee Seng didn't even have time to react, physically, as Sally slashed Lee Seng across the chest a couple more times.
Lee Seng's katana spun, the butt of the handle flying straight for Sally. Sally jumped backwards, getting caught in the hold of gravity as Lee Seng swung the blade straight for Sally's neck. Gabs yanked Sally away, making the direct hit into a gouge across her collar bone area. Sally hissed in pain as Gabs' eyes glowed bright. Lee Seng pointed his right index and middle finger at the Nagas, producing a golden flame.
"Burn to ashes, Inferno." A rune produced from Lee Seng's fingers, breaking into a fiery inferno. Sally and Gabs pulled in two different directions, screeching as the flames engulfed them. The double-end Nagas fell into the water as the fires at away at the miasma. Lee Seng pulled Olivia into him, grabbing her and wrapping his tails around the both of them.
Lee Seng ignored the heat, focused on the screams. When all went silent, Olivia was the first to break the silence.
"Is it over…?" Olivia asked. Lee Seng peeked from the safety of his tails. Olivia and Lee Seng saw nothing. The sound of steam rising from the water below.
"I think so…" Lee Seng answered. He pulled his tails away, setting Olivia back on the tails. Lee Seng and Olivia descended down to ground, searching for the Nagas. "Where did they go…?" There were no visible signs of the Nagas anywhere.
"Did you… burn them completely with that spell?"
"Dunno." Lee Seng shrugged. Lee Seng's feet pulled up out of the water and went straight back into it as he moved trudged forward. The water was up to his ankles. He trudged along, looking left and right for the crisped bodies of the Naga ends.
Olivia's eyes wandered to the walls. Now that there wasn't miasma around, she noticed the strange jaggedness of the walls. It was like… something had fallen down here and created all of this. Any nearby tendrils were long gone. Olivia could hear the faint cries of the tendrils as the flames continued upwards.
The jagged walls, every so often, would glow blue and yellow. They created a strange set of symbols Olivia couldn't read. She gestured to Lee Seng, who immediately looked behind him due to the vibrations in his tail.
"Hm?" Lee Seng raised an eyebrow. Olivia pointed to the walls.
"Do you see… what I see? It looks like they're making something." Olivia asked. Lee Seng looked up. He saw parts of the walls pulsing with color. Lee Seng slowly backed up and watched as the yellow and blue lines grew. They created a strange picture in the jagged rocks.
"It looks like… a face…?" Lee Seng guessed. The lines created a woman with her eyes closed. She looked like she was crying.
"There's no tears." Olivia pointed out. Her eyes went to the water. "Where is this water coming from?"
"No tears… yet she looks sad." Lee Seng's eyes studied the water. The faint noise of water pouring confused him. "She isn't crying… but there's water here… Those Nagas… They said something about staying in the water. The water… could the water keep them sane?"
The water glowed around Lee Seng as he stood in it. Lee Seng looked to Olivia, lowering her down.
"W-what are you doing?" Olivia snapped out of it. Lee Seng lowered her enough so her feet could touch the water. In a short matter of seconds, the burning feeling within Olivia disappeared. The purple marks quickly disappeared, cleansing her of whatever affliction she took upon herself. "I-I'm healed?"
Olivia stood up and looked at her arms and legs. Her strength grew and she let out a smile. Lee Seng pulled his tails away from her and returned them to normal.
"Healing properties." Lee Seng answered himself. "The water has healing properties! That's why those Naga's didn't turn into full monsters."
"T-they were guarding the water then?" Olivia asked. Lee Seng nodded. He set his sights on the opposite corner of the room. He pointed over to it, drawing Olivia's attention to it.
"I think that's where the sound is coming from. Maybe they went that way?"
