Connie's energy swelled into something else. A double-horned Deimon flew out of the smoke, going straight for Lee Seng. She grabbed his neck and smiled.

"You've never seen something like this before, huh?!?" Connie laughed loudly. "I'll show you what it really means to be a Deimon!" Purple energy swelled in Connie's hand, blasting Lee Seng away.

"Lee!" Keng rushed towards Connie, throwing Hydrosphere out. Connie turned and blasted it, watching Keng grab it and be directly hit by it. The Silver Fox flew backwards, falling like a star in the night sky. Connie lifted her arms up and watched large guns appear.

"Grah!" Connie screamed as she fired bullets into the sky. The bullets arced in the sky, going straight for the twins.

[Something's coming for you! Get outta the way now!]

Lee Seng let out a sharp breath, summoning his sword.

[Hurry!]

"Dammit…" Lee Seng's voice strained. His throat was burnt and barely healing from the direct attack.

'If it weren't for my aura, I would've been dead.' Lee Seng pulled his hand away and watched the purple bullets fly straight for him. Lee Seng flashed in his place, slashing in front of him. A gravity wave flew from the blade, instantly exploding every bullet around Lee Seng in smoke.

'Ah, shit.' Keng groaned as he watched the purple bullets come for him. 'I can't stop here… It's Soul Harvest Festival time… Gotta harvest a lot for us.' He lifted his hand up and let out a shaky breath. Dozens of runes appeared. 'Runeweaver: Reversal.' The runes exploded into dust as the bullets collided. Smoke lit Keng up and Connie chuckled in amusement.

"You think that was it?!?" Connie fired more bullets into the air and listened as Lee Seng slashed the bullets, creating more purple smoke.

'They don't know that the smoke is actually what I want. Now… let's end this!' Connie's gun arms switched. She pointed her arms in different directions and let her arms start to charge. 'They won't live to see this!' Purple beams exploded from her arms, igniting the smoke.

[Danger, large amounts of energy detected!]

"No holding back now. Gate VI: Unlock!" Lee Seng released his sword, enveloping himself in a multitude of colorful barriers. He watched the beam collide, exploding the first barrier in an instant and going for the next one. Lee Seng continuously pushed out barriers, watching the beam grow closer. "C'mon now! Z's barrier is way better than this! ARGH!"

[Gate VI has strengthened due to immense knowledge of Number VI's skill set!]

The barriers continued to fly outwards, blocking the beam. Connie watched as colorful barriers flew outwards, pushing her beam backwards. She cursed. The beam would end soon. She would have to switch tactics before then.

"Heh. You think that's gonna stop us?" Keng's voice came behind Connie. Keng pointed a finger gun straight to the Deimon's head. "I think you're wrong about one thing… You act like you're fighting two of us, but there's really one one of us."

"How did you—" Connie turned to look at the direction Keng was. Her eyes grew as she witnessed the beam sinking straight into a large portal of energy.

"I've been saving that one for a while…" Keng chuckled. His entire body was lit up in tattoos of purple energy. "The side effects are a pain in the ass, but at least I can do this… BAH!" The portal shook and the purple beam fired from Keng's finger, consuming Connie entirely.

"Ahhh!" Connie was pushed forward, straight for the ground. The beams coming from her arms carved the district below her. Lee Seng let out a sigh of relief as he watched the energy beam devour Connie. "Mommy! Mommy! I want my mommy!"

'What's that?' Lee Seng thought to himself. That voice wasn't coming from Connie. It was someone else… 'Could it be…?'

[It's too late to save her. You know that.]

'But—" Lee Seng listened as Connie slammed into the ground. The energy beam from Keng's finger swallowed everything around Connie, destroying the streets and buildings. Keng pulled the energy away, sealing it away.

Keng huffed as the gravity around him gave up. He began to descend, eyes rolling backwards.

"Keng!" Lee Seng shouted. He began to move forward, only to realize he had used a Gate! Lee Seng felt himself start to fall. "Shit!" Lee Seng reached out for Keng, snatching at his twin a couple times before a colorful barrier appeared. Lee Seng continued to grow barriers around them until they slammed into the ground.

Lee Seng groaned as the barrier faded. He slowly pushed himself up and focused on Keng. "Keng…" Lee Seng stumbled forward. Lee Seng knelt beside Keng, releasing the barrier and checking vitals. "Thank god…" Lee Seng sighed as he collapsed onto his butt. He sucked in a breath, slowly turning his attention to Connie.

The second voice continued to wail. Lee Seng pushed himself up and stumbled over to the destruction they had caused. He stopped at the crater and let out a shaky breath.

"Mommy… Where's… Ah…!" The second voice groaned. Lee Seng slowly started down the crater, only to lose his footing. He flew forward, quick enough to wrap himself in a barrier. Lee Seng bounced across the ground, until the barrier broke, forcing him to hit the ground hard.

"Awww…!" Lee Seng groaned.

"Mommy… I want…. Mommy…" The second voice cried. Lee Seng coughed, pushing himself up and moving towards the voice. He found Connie trying to move herself. The Deimon's ultimate form was struggling to stay together. Connie recognized Lee Seng and tried to reach for him. "H-help me… sir… Please…"

A purple crystal protruded out of Connie's cheek. It was a strange wonder how she could even see him through that.

"Please help me… I-I want my… Argh…!" Connie groaned in pain. The Deimonic voice blended with the second voice.

'Did the Deimon lose control? What's the meaning of all of this?" Lee Seng asked himself. He hovered above Connie as his tails whipped.

[The Soul Harvest Festival is ending soon!]

"W-what's this crystal…?" Lee Seng pointed.

"D-don't you dare!" The Deimon shouted. "Don't you dare touch it!"

"Why?" Lee Seng grabbed it and Connie screamed louder.

"Don't you touch it! SAVE ME!" The Deimon and the little girl's voice blended together. "Save me, dammit!" Lee Seng clutched the crystal and began to pull with all his might. "No! Save me! I'm just a girl! SAVE me—" Connie's screams came to a stop as the large crystal unstuck itself.

It was seven inches long and a couple inches wide. The crystal was purple and pulsed brightly.

[It seems this is a Deimon Crystal. They're grown from fully matured Greater Deimons.]

'What is it used for?' Lee Seng asked.

[It'll take me some time to figure that out.]

Lee Seng began to stand when Connie reached out and grabbed Lee Seng's leg.

"Please… I just… I can't fail… if I do… Master will kill me." Connie cried weakly. Lee Seng sighed and pulled his leg away from Connie. He began to walk away as the Deimon girl cried out for him. "Save me… Please… I know… I know you're not mean like them… Please…"

Lee Seng stopped and sighed. He turned and walked back over to the girl. There was a flicker of hope in her fading eyes. She was dying in front of him with a large hole in her cheek gone. Deep inside he knew he couldn't save Connie, but he wanted to ignore that feeling.

Lee Seng lowered himself and lifted his hand up to her. He tried to heal, but only produced barriers. 'Shit.' Lee Seng remembered he had opened a Gate. He was sealed off from his own powers for the time being.

"I can't save you." Lee Seng told the Deimon.

"But… You're so powerful… They said… She said… She said you could do any—" A large tendril exploded from the ground, flying straight out of Connie's body. Connie screamed in pain as Lee Seng's eyes widened.

"It seems one of my closest children has failed." A familiar voice spoke. The tendril split Connie apart, turning her to nothing. The crystal shook as the tendril immediately flew straight for Lee Seng. Lee Seng threw a barrier up, watching the tendril struggle to pierce through it. "And it seems you won't come quietly, child."

"Who are you?" Lee Seng asked.

"Me?" The tendril pulled away, budding. The bud bloomed, revealing Queen. Lee Seng had remembered her. She was there when she tried to kill him when Eleven took over. "I'm your Queen. You should do well to respect me, child. I don't know how you managed to kill Connie, but it was all for naught. She brought me to you and I will take you with me."

Smaller tendrils exploded from the main tendril, attacking Lee Seng.

[Gate VI has deactivated. Your powers return to you.]

'Fuck.' Lee Seng gritted his teeth as the barrier faded. The tendrils impaled themselves into Lee Seng, raising him into the air. A small tendril raised his head towards Queen as his own blood began to spill.

"Lee…" Keng grunted. He tried to move but the Negative had taken full control.

[The Soul Harvest Festival has ended! Evolution is beginning!]

'Not now.' Keng thought. He forced himself up enough to watch the horrific sight. Lee Seng had been impaled in many areas and was at the mercy of the Deimon Queen.

"Now that you are with me… I will take you to where you need to be." Queen spoke unsatisfied. "I really hoped for more but—"

"Heh." Lee Sneg chuckled. He started to glow a dim golden color. Lee Seng's dragon eyes swirled with stars as his energy began to pour out of him. "I don't think you'll be able to do that… Not with what's coming to me." Queen narrowed her eyes. She began to ask something when all eight tails impaled themselves into Queen's tendril.

Queen shrieked in pain, feeling Lee Seng's energy infiltrate the tendril. Even though she wasn't physically there, she could still feel him invade her like a parasite.

"What's going on?" Queen asked. "What're you doing?"

"I'm taking what's mine." Lee Seng smiled.

[Final Evolution is starting.]

Lee Seng forcibly started to pull the Deimon's energy into him. 'Use the crystal.'

[But we haven't—]

'Use it.' Lee Seng ordered. The crystal lit up and exploded as Queen shrieked. Golden threads exploded in every direction, connecting with the silver strands from Keng.

"Thanks for the information…" Lee Seng smiled. "I'll see you later."
