Waking up from his stupor and jumping in the confusion, Alexander began to look around and attempt to figure out where he was.
As he was trying to figure out what was going on he looked the young man in the eye, he appeared to be in his late teens either approaching graduation or already past it.
Looking down at the nametag he read it out, "Ezekiel... where am i? Why am I in a restaurant?"
Alexander's mind was smothered by the fog of confusion as the last memory he had was from being burned alive by a dragon.
"What kind of crazy illusion is this?...."
The young worker seemed to be unshakeable in his customer service but Alexander had seen the twitching of his eye.
"Sir you are in the Chateau, you do not remember your reservation?"
After hearing this Alexander finally began to remember a few things.
This was a restaurant he hadnt seen in five years... how was he back here?
He checked his pocket and eventually found his phone which held a date he didn't expect. 2030.
He had somehow gone back five years... or he was in an elaborate illusion.
When he saw this he stood up and thanked the young worker before tipping him very well, or at least he hoped a fifty dollar tip was a lot for this restaurant, his memory of it was hazy after all.
As he was leaving he immediately went online and began purchasing a few key items.
A pod for the brand new Bloodlines online, a years worth of rations and hired a maid.
He may not know if this was an illusion or time travel but he hated to be caught unprepared so he would treat this as if he were back in the last all over again.
While working on his plans for the future he began to write about every detail he could remember to keep track of future events.
1. Do not evolve his race until he had achieved at least thirty points into strength and agility.
2. When the first player achieves the spell weaver title he must seek out a low level dungeon.
She sat there looking him hard in the eye and he knew he couldn't just give the vague answers he had been giving.
"Nothing special except for some weird guy i thought was bumming a booth for something that i had to check over. He was just asleep though."
Sighing sadly she rests her head on her hand and gazes into the air at nothing.
"I wish i could give that pretentious little brat a talking to, he shouldnt treat people so poorly."
"Mom he's your brother, he also has a business that relies on its public image."
"Exactly! Assuming that someone is a bum or a druggy just because of some subjective feeling is going to drive customers away!"
Ezekiel nodded but he knew that if he said much more she might go get into another argument with his uncle.
"Oh zekie, the lady that delivered your game pod thingy told me that you need to read the manual at some point since there's a few health and safety details for new users."
After telling him this she took the empty plates and started shooing him away so he could go enjoy his game.
He gave her a hug before heading to his room where the pod was installed.
As he undressed and followed the manuals instructions on the dive suit he eventually settled into the pod.
As the lid slid shut from either side he couldnt help but think of a hotel elevator but the faint reflection in the lid surprised him because of what he saw.
Tubes were sliding out of the pod walls and connecting to his suit all across the body until he was reminded of a certain comic book villain... especially because of the weird connectors all across the head of the suit.
The lid went dark and soon he felt his mind slipping into artificial sleep until he saw nothing but a timer counting down.
