Due to her wings Lucretia would have been able to reach the amphitheater in minutes but she chose to walk.
Enjoying the sight of the city she had not visited in centuries made this whole walk worth it.
Celestial cities were blindingly beautiful because of the marble and silver that made up the homes of the angelic people, no matter how painfully bright the cities were she always loved the architecture however.
Each angel she passed were as wonderfully polite as she remembered, she knew that the teachings of each race when growing up were based on the knowledge of their creation as individual races but the fact that they existed due to the gods of the other race actually made them very friendly with one another.
In fact this friendly relationship between the two raced was why it was possible to find infernals with an affinity for the wind element, the celestials were one of the few races that the infernal people did not believe were distasteful to mate with.
Before she became the queen the previous ruler had forced the infernal race to stop mating with other races, making it illegal to do so.
'Good thing I was born long before that crazy bitch was, she would have tried to have my parents executed.'
The infernal people had a very strange set of affinities one could be born with due to the past.
Even with the previous queen outlawing interracial relationships these affinities remained in the lineage.
The most common affinities were the wind and life affinities due to relations with the celestial race, the light affinity was as rare as the shadow affinity for the infernal race sadly.
The advanced elements were rarer than having the affinity of a lineage but this was not a concern for most.
Awakening an advanced affinity was perfectly possible but difficult due to the materials necessary.
This was why during their man discussions about magic she had told Belial that he should accept the affinity awakening scrolls when he got them from dungeons.
Awakening a new affinity meant you had new ways to use magic as well as new combinations for spells.
Using spells that matched an affinity you possessed was not only more powerful but it was easier than doing so with elements you did not possess.
She saw that there were many traits of other races in the celestial people as if they had been expanding far in the last few centuries.
She saw sweet children with golden manes running around while an angelic man sat with his pride of beastkin wives.
Almost everywhere she looked she saw the signs of elven blood in the slender men and women with pointed ears, young adults with elven blood were even more beautiful than the average celestial due to the elegance of the elves.
She even saw many with signs of infernal heritage with their red or black sclera.
The beauty of the heavens made her heart ache with the pain of her parents memory but she had hated how the people of the past had treated her due to her own bloodline.
A young angel man with a pait of rabbit ears approached her and bowed before offering her a cup of something which she figured out was a drink the heavens had been selling on the streets even longer than she had lived, Molhok.
"Oh thank you brother, it has been a long time since I have had molhok."
She took a sip and the rich flavor filled her mouth while the spices soothed her.
These were the leaders of the respective kingdoms; the king of the draconic empire, the high empress of the green tribes, the holy priestess of the lizardfolk, the queen of the forest elves and the alpha king of the beastkin civilization.
The other leaders gave different reactions to her presence.
The draconic king gave her a respectful nod while the elven queen had a neutral expression, the priestess had a look like she saw a bug and the empress had a fire in here eye.
The beast king however had a reaction that made her seethe in silent fury.
He had a look of hunger, a look of possessiveness and greed like he had seen an object he desired.
She realized that this man was looking at her as some sort of conquest now and it disgusted her.
As she sat down the draconic king spoke up immediately.
"Devil queen! I have heard the good news, my seers tell me there is finally a devil with the shadow affinity. Congratulations on your husband!"
He had a giant grin that surprised her and it actually made her heart soar because of his kind words.
"Thank you, although he is an otherworlder I am still happy to finally have another of my kind by my side that shares my elemental affinity after so many centuries of waiting."
"You waited for a devil with the shadow element yes?"
The beastkin king spoke up and she felt her skin crawl as her desire to cut him down grew.
"Yes."
"Well you are clearly part beastkin and I also share the affinity.~"
He created a simply ball of shadows that made her scoff before she started laughing hysterically.
The others had various looks of outrage when he insinuated that she consider him but her laughter caught them off guard.
"Oh you fool, if I weren't so amused I may actually have just dueled you for the right to force you to never speak to me again but meeting my beloved has made my temper settle over these last few days."
The draconic king began to laugh as well while the orc empress wore a savage grin.
"Tell us about your new mate queen Lucretia! Is he handsome?"
She snapped to look at the draconic king and sighed in exasperation when he gave her a wink.
"Yes MY future mate is very handsome and he and I will have powerful children TOGETHER."
She knew the king was teasing her but she remembered the rumors of his male lovers, she shook her head from the playful attitude of this warrior king and when she looked at lady Lucent she realized the queen had a smile as if this made her happy.
"If all of you are ready we may begin the discussions, war is never a good experience so I hope this joyous attitude never leaves."
