Chapter 128 - Visitors (3)

"King Raphael and Prince Julian of the Luminaria Kingdom is going to come and visit us," Her father responded and she nodded her head multiple times, averting her gaze away from him and looked straight ahead of her. Oh, it's just King Raphael and Prince Julian of the Lumina—Then she realized who those people are. She whipped her head to her father's direction, her eyes wide in shock and he just stared at her wondering why she has that expression on her face.

You mean, King Raphael Anderson Nathan Cowell and Prince Julian Nathaniel Kingsley Cowell of the Luminaria Kingdom? The second most powerful kingdom of the Queenilia Empire? Do you mean them? Alexandra asked herself. Not believing what she just heard.

Alexandra remembered their first encounter. It was a rather short yet unforgettable one as it was the day after the winter star and she was walking around the place during the night. Diana didn't know that she and the prince already left because they still haven't told her and kept it a secret. Carlos would be doomed since he told her that he is not going to take his eyes off Alexandra even just for a second and would always guard her yet Alexandra was still able to leave his side without his knowledge. Diana would also scold Alexandra for being careless and would tighten her guard or something.

She left Carlos's side during that time as he was talking about his childhood. Images flashed one by one inside her head making her recall that event.

(Again, you can skip this since it was a flashback and I just copied the whole scene in the original chapter)

A small glowing red dot caught her eye. Carlos just kept on talking and rambling without giving care while Alexandra was just looking at the dot. Curiosity slowly began to overwhelm her and there were questions in her head which she knows she can't answer if she just continued to stare at it. What is that? She asked herself, curiosity overwhelmed her and without the knowledge of her knight, she left his side and walked towards it.

The small glowing dot eventually grew bigger and as she got close, she saw a figure of a person. She raised her guard and scooped a handful of snow, hopefully, this would protect me, she thought to herself and hid behind a tree and looked at the figure aimlessly walking around. The person got closer and Alexandra was able to see what he looked like. A… kid? What is a kid doing here? She asked herself, eyebrows creased in confusion as she watched the kid walk around as if he was lost. It was a boy, his hand held out and with a ball of light that was suspended mid-air but followed him as he walked. He had red hair and dark grey eyes, his skin was white and gentle as snow.

As he walked around, Alexandra stared at him, watching his every action, and observing him. He was wearing formal clothes and it seems like he came from the party at her father's palace. He must have wandered off, I wonder if his parents are looking for him, she thought to herself and heaved a sigh. A small cloud appearing as she sighed. She decided to show herself and opened her mouth to speak, "Are you lost?" The boy was startled and his guard was suddenly raised. He threw a ball of fire at her which was made out of his magic but Alexandra holding a snowball threw it towards the ball of fire and extinguished it. Alexandra heaved a sigh of relief when she was able to hit it.

He was about to throw another fireball when Alexandra spoke once again, "I am a harmless person! I am just wondering why you are here," Alexandra said and hopefully, he would calm down and answer her. She was already used at this type of events and she wasn't scared anymore. The boy calmed down and he looked at her for a moment as if he was examining her. "I was curious by where this path will lead you to but I didn't expect that it will lead to the Wistalia Palace, what are you doing here?" It was his turn to ask. Alexandra doesn't know what she should answer him but as she remained silent, he was able to figure out who she is.

"I see, what my father said was true," He said and nodded multiple times.

Alexandra tilted her head and her eyebrows furrowed as a confused expression was plastered on her face. What is he suddenly saying? Does he know me? She asked inside her head. "You are Alexandra, right? The emperor's one and only daughter. The first-ever female of the Everly Bloodline. It's nice to finally meet you," He said and Alexandra's eyes widened in surprise. She suddenly raised her guard, I don't know who this kid is but he knows who I am. I thought my father only trusted the knights who were there at that time and told very few people about her existence. Was this kid one of those? She thought and looked at the kid.

He smiled at her brightly, "Don't worry, just like you, I meant no harm. I was simply curious about if your existence is really true or not. I find it unexpected and shocking," He said and Alexandra still stared at him, her eyebrows still creased. Who is this person anyway? She asked herself once again but knowing that nobody can't answer that question if she just let it stay inside her mind, she spoke. "Who are you?" Alexandra said, a serious expression plastered on her face but her voice was gentle as always but it sounds threatening.

"Oh, me? Y-You, don't know who I am?" His smile remained plastered on his face as he asked but it seems like he was shocked when he heard him ask that question. "I suppose, you have a little knowledge about the outside world. I am—" He was interrupted and cut off by a sudden loud voice which called out to Alexandra's name and startled her.

"Miss Alexandra!" That familiar voice. It belonged to Carlos and Alexandra cursed under her breath as she realized that she left Carlos behind and didn't tell him where she was going. She slowly turned around, meeting the worried gaze of Carlos but his expression was stern. "I was looking for you the whole time! Please do tell me beforehand if you are going to wander off on your own, you are giving me a heart attack. I even told Diana that I wouldn't lose sight of you," Alexandra said and slightly bent down as he spoke. Alexandra pouted, "I'm sorry," she said, it sounded sincere and genuine.

Carlos heaved a sigh, "Please don't do it ever again and by the way, what brings you here at his place? Are you planning to go to your father? But the party is still ongoing," Carlos said and he looked around. His eyes darted at the kid and he stared at him, he seemed familiar in his eyes but when he realized who he was, he immediately bowed.

"May the Queenilia's peace and glory be with you, Prince Julian of the--

"Alexandra,"

Her thoughts were cut off when she heard someone call out to her name. She snapped out of her daze as she was pulled back to reality. It was her father who called out to her. She turned her head and looked at his direction. Her warm gaze meeting his cold ones. "What is it, papa?" Alexandra asked in a curious tone of voice as she showed him a faint yet warm smile. "Are you going to come with me to greet them?" Her father asked.

Somehow in Alexandra's vision, her father looked gentle and warm for her even with that cold expression on his face and sharp and cold eyes. She recalled what Carlos told her before, 'Your father is slowly starting to love you and accept you as his daughter so it's just normal that he will be like that,' Carlos told her that many times before and she just kept on ignoring it not until she just realized it by the time that her father told her that he wants to introduce her to the people working in his palace. Alexandra never felt it before, the feeling of being loved by her own father.

Her first goal after her father gave her that test and question was to try to make him love her as his daughter. She just wants to know what the feeling is like but never have she thought that she will reach this point. But she doesn't hate it rather she embraced and accepted it whole-heartedly.

Moving on, she has to think about what she should answer. If she denies or if she doesn't want to go with her father to greet them, would it be suspicious? I mean, what is the reason why I wouldn't want to go with him? This is one of the things or events that I will encounter in the future but why is it so early? Well, I think it's better that it will happen early but not this early. Well, if I went with him, I wonder if he will remember me. Well, in the end, I am still going to meet him in the future, so yeah.

Alexandra smiled at her father and she nodded before she opened her mouth and spoke, "I would love to, papa! Meeting new people and making friends is actually fun!" Alexandra said with a smile spread across her lips. Alexander, her father, just nodded and he held Alexandra's hand tighter than before and she just let him be. They continued walking silently and with a peaceful atmosphere as Alexandra admired her surroundings. The courtyard was actually pretty huge and clean, there were some bushes of roses and some other flowers that are being taken care of by the maids.

"Lysander, are they going to arrive now? What time do you think they will arrive?" Alexander asked his personal knight who was just walking and following behind them. "They said that they are going to arrive in the afternoon but they didn't tell us about the exact time that they will arrive. Based on the time now, they are going to arrive any moment from now," Lysander responded. His tone of voice sounded polite and filled with respect. Honestly, he would be the perfect assistant.

And as if on cue, before Alexander was able to say anything, a man suddenly appeared in front of them and startled Alexandra due to his sudden appearance. He was wearing the same uniform as some other knights wear. There was a golden crest on his chest which indicated that he is a royal knight. It feels like her heart leaped out of her chest in that mere second. "A pleasant afternoon, your highness," The knight said and before he was able to bow, he spotted Alexandra who was staring at him. A startled expression displayed across her face. There was a gentle and faint smile on his lips when he saw Alexandra, "A pleasant afternoon to you too, young miss. Pardon me for startling you," He said in a polite tone of voice as he bowed.

"What is it?" Alexander said and he looked at the person standing in front of them. His voice sounded cold as always. "His Majesty, King Raphael, and Prince Julian are going to arrive. I have asked all of the servants and knights to get ready and assemble to greet them when they arrive," The knight said in a polite voice. Alexander nodded as a response. "I see, we're heading there now," Alexander said and the knight just nodded. His eyes darted at Alexandra and he smiled at her before he vanished into thin air.

Reminds her of Harrison who would suddenly appear right in front of her without warning and vanishing into thin air when he needs to leave. Alexandra looked up to her father and saw him looking down on her, "Let's go," Her father said before they began walking once again.
