Chapter 215 - Disasters (3)

"Ah, I'm hungry but I don't like the food. It doesn't even look like food, prisoners have way much better meals than this. This is the worst."

"Why is it so hot? It feels like I'm going to die. Don't they have any fans here or something? Do they want us to die because of the heat? That's it, I'm taking my coat and shirt off."

Since he was wearing a coat and another shirt underneath his shirt that's why it was hot. This idiot.

"Ah, I hate this. Why am I wearing this collar? It's making me look like I'm a dog. How dare they treat me, a great wizard and disciple, like this?" Harrison kept on complaining non-stop like a kid whose mother didn't buy him the toy that he wanted. He kept on whining about the collar on his neck and how it makes him look like a dog. Aside from that, he also kept on complaining about everything like the food and the water that doesn't taste like one.

They were sitting on the floor, Alexandra was sitting beside him with Amanda in front of them.

"Ah, shut up. I'm not even complaining about it," A princess like me wearing this metal thing that looks like a collar on my neck? Aside from that, it was hard to scratch that itchy part in her neck that was being covered by the metal. That is the most frustrating thing as she can't even let her pinky finger pass through the gap and scratch it, even just lightly and for a few seconds.

"My mana isn't sealed but thanks to this thing, I can't use it because it would just backfire against me. It would probably kill me, it depends on the amount of mana that you used on how much pain you will feel. I don't like this at all," Harrison went on and on. Alexandra knew that he was the type of person who would keep on complaining non-stop about something that he really hates and wouldn't even care about his surroundings. He probably forgot that they were kidnapped and they don't know where they are.

Amanda just quietly watched them as she clenched her damaged and torn dress.

"I know, I did earlier," Alexandra responded.

"Huh, you did?"

"Yeah."

"I know that you are an idiot and a dumbass at the same time. But this is way too much, I can't," Harrison said as he pinched the bridge of his nose, and Alexandra glared at him before she pinched his sides. "I didn't know it, what do you expect?" Was what she said, letting out a huff as she pinched his waist more making him yelp and whine in pain.

"Ow, ow, ow, stop, that hurts. Stop it," Harrison said as he endured the pain while trying to endure the pain and forcing Alexandra to stop pinching his waist by pushing her away from him. Eventually, Alexandra stopped and she rolled her eyes. "How dare you call me that? Besides, I didn't know," She said.

"Well, you have a point. This is the first time that I saw this, as far as I can remember, Queenilia Empire doesn't have this kind of thing or whatever you call that. They have ones that can seal magic but didn't have one that would backfire and hurt the holder or the one wearing the item."

That was what the person who put the collar-like thing on his neck when he asked.

"This is really troublesome," Alexandra could only say as she propped her head up with her palm as her elbow rested on top of her thigh. She heard Amanda let out a small laugh, "You two look close, do you know each other?" Amanda said, finally having her chance to speak. Right, she still doesn't know that Alexandra and Harrison actually know each other. Alexandra hummed before she responded 'yes' with a small nod. Harrison leaned on the wall behind him, looking at Amanda. He just noticed her there as he only kept on talking with Alexandra.

"I see, then what kind of relationship do the two of you have? Perhaps, you two are fiancées? Ocean looks like a noble," Amanda said while smiling, her eyes wide with pure wonder. Alexandra was taken aback by her questions especially the second one.

Though it's amazing how they are able to have a light-hearted conversation when they are one of the kids who were kidnapped. Perhaps Alexandra knows that she is going to get out of here along with the other kids who were kidnapped. Even when she doesn't know when that would be. Aside from that, Harrison is also here but that doesn't mean that she would rely on him. They are going to work together though she doesn't know in what way she can help him. They can't use any magic here because it just would backfire.

"No, we aren't fiancées. We're friends, close friends to be exact. He's actually like a bodyguard and he would be following me around that's why he is here," Alexandra flatly denied the question and responded in a calm tone of voice though, in the inside, she was going wild.

Do we really look like fiancées? Are we being intimate? We aren't, right? Is pinching the waist a sign of affection or did she saw what Harrison did earlier? The one where he rested his forehead against mine. Why did he even do that? There were too many thoughts running inside her head yet she remained calm as much as possible.

Harrison is a wizard and he's probably a few hundreds of years old, he's only pretending as a child to preserve his mana which he still hasn't fully recovered despite years. She's a normal person who was reincarnated as a princess and can remember her past life. Imagining the two of them together was rather hard to imagine. It's not impossible though.

"Ocean? Noble?" Harrison asked as he arched a brow up, looking at Amanda. He was confused about why she called Alexandra 'Ocean'. He then turned his head to look at Alexandra, giving her a questioning look while she just smiled at him before she looked ahead of her, where Amanda was sitting.

"By the way, you can call me Alice and I am a noble," I apologize, but I have to lie, she thought to herself after she spoke. It would be bad if Amanda would know that she was a princess disguising herself as a noble, she can't put herself in risk here just for her true identity being known. Maybe when they would be rescued probably by her father, she would tell her everything.

Harrison leaned near her ear and whispered to her, "I thought you told her that you are a princess?"

"No, I didn't," She whispered back still smiling at Amanda. Harrison just hummed and nodded before he resumed his original position. Amanda looked at her, the expression on her face asking him what his name was and he just let out a sigh before he spoke, "Harrison. Noble," Was what he only said.

--

Hours have already passed. No, it feels like one day has already passed.

Alexandra accompanied by Harrison and Amanda were still in that room doing nothing but only talking with each other or like just staring at somewhere, probably at the ceiling or something. This was 10x worse than when she would only be in her palace and not allowed to go out. At least there she has her books but here there was nothing at all. She would rather do hard lessons with Vivienne rather than being stuck here.

However, what about Amanda and the other kids who were in here longer than she was?

So she can't complain out loud as everyone here was also struggling and wanting to get out. There was also this one kid who was the same age as her who went on berserk and screaming as if he went crazy. He keeps on shouting and saying that he wants to go out, he wants to see his family, he wants to escape, and such things. Alexandra felt pity and could only do nothing but watch, the other kids who were younger than them started crying. She felt powerless, so scared. I am the princess of this empire yet I could only do nothing but watch.

The guard outside heard the noise and decided to scold them but they cried more so he has to call someone. It looked like that person he called was one of the acting leaders or something as the guard called him 'Sir' and was polite to him.

The man only stared at the male who was going berserk and immediately afterward, he fainted. He then threatened the kids that if they would shut up, they would be the first one that would get sold which will happen 3 days from now.

Just because of that guy, she already knows when all of those auction and such would happen. It's only 3 days from now and yet she was still stuck here. Everybody looked like they lost all of their hope and will when they heard that it would be 2 days from now. However, Alexandra still hasn't. She has the motivation, the energy, the will, the hope to do everything just to escape here and save all of them. But she doesn't know what to do. She doesn't have anything planned, she doesn't know the layout of the place they are at, she doesn't know who the acting leaders and leaders are, and she doesn't know how many guards are outside.

She only has a little information and that wouldn't help her at all.

She started to fiddle and play with her fingers as she thought about so many things. Her eyebrows were furrowed and her lips were forming into a frown, she leaned back against the wall as Harrison was sitting near her. Amanda was asleep, she was leaning against Alexandra and she doesn't mind at all. To think that she would still be able to sleep peacefully, Alexandra was having a hard time going to sleep because of her dress and the hard floor though Harrison offered her his coat which he wasn't using because it was way too hot for him.

"What are you thinking?" Harrison called out to her as he noticed the crumpled look on her face.

"Escaping," Alexandra bluntly said but she said it lowly that only the two of them could hear. "Even though your father and brother are going to come and save you?"

"We can't wait for any longer, 2 days from now and we would be sold probably as slaves and such. What if they arrived late? What if they weren't able to save us in time? We just can't sit here and wait."

Harrison just sighed before massaging the bridge of his nose as if admitting defeat even though he didn't pursue any further and just gave up right from the start. He knows that he can't stop her, Alexandra was a person who is willing to take any risk and endanger her own life just for another person.

"Do you have anything planned?"

"No, I lack information. I only know a few things, I don't know the layout of this place. I don't even know where we are. I'm not sure if there are only one guard or more than that outside and even if we managed to slip past through them, we don't know where to go next because just like what I said, I don't know the layout of the whole place."

"I know."

"What?"

"I know some information that you might need."

"Wait, what do you mean? You are going to help me?"

"Even when I won't, you would still go off and do it all by yourself anyway. It's better that I'm by your side. I'm helping you escape along with the other kids—" He paused for a moment before he continued what he was going to say.

"—You're the hero and I'm your sidekick."
