Chapter 3: 3 : The Warmth Of A Family

As Felix gazed at the faint, shadowy figures in front of the distant building, a mix of emotions flooded his heart. He felt nervous about meeting these unfamiliar people, even though his body recognized them. The Felix they knew was gone, and he worried about what they might do if they discovered the truth.

"I can't let them figure out that the original owner of this body is no more," Felix reminded himself, taking a deep breath.

Suddenly, a soft voice like an oriole broke through his thoughts. "Big brother Felix, is that you?"

Startled, Felix replied hoarsely, "Yes, it's me."

Without a response, hurried footsteps approached, and a group of ragged individuals stood before Felix, their faces filled with concern. There were five of them - three girls and two boys, all with frail, pale bodies and tattered clothing.

Despite their malnourished appearance, they possessed striking beauty. Among the girls one had black hair, another pink, and finally a golden haired girl, while among the two boys sported short dusty silver hair and the last one short brown hair. They were all around sixteen to seventeen years old.

According to his predecessor's memories, the girl with long dark hair is Gwendolyn, she had a cold demeanor, with dark eyes that matched her hair, thin lips, and a quiet presence.

The pink-haired girl goes by the name Nixie, with big watery eyes and pupils that were a shade of red. Her cheeks were quite chubby with a faint blush, and she had a small cherry mouth. Felix could feel a vibrant and lively temperament around her. According to his predecessor's memories, this pink-haired girl was quite lively and mischievous.

The golden-haired girl, Trinity, was the most beautiful among the three of them. Her eyes were golden in color, with long slender eyebrows and fluttering eyelashes. She had full red lips, and her face was so beautiful that even Felix was momentarily dazed. She was even more beautiful than the celebrities back on Earth, even with their makeup on. Trinity had a gentle and mature temperament about her.

Among the two boys, the one with short black hair was called Zephyr, and the one with short brown hair was called Brixton. Zephyr had a cold look, while Brixton had an amicable and honest face. Zephyr was tall and slender, while Brixton was quite burly.

Currently, all of their faces were filled with concern and deep worry as they looked at Felix standing in front of them.

"Felix, what happened to you? Why do you look like this?" Trinity stepped forward and asked in a gentle but concerned voice.

"Yeah, big brother Felix, why are you injured? Did you fight with someone again?" Nixie jumped to his side, asking in a concerned voice.

"Did you have a fight with the gang again?" Gwendolyn asked with a frown.

"Dammit, those bloody idiots! Can't they let us go? I'm going to fight with them today!" Brixton waved his fist in anger as he rolled up his sleeves.

"Stop it! What can you do by going there alone? You're going to get beaten, so don't be impulsive," Zephyr immediately held him back and said.

As Felix looked around at the people who were genuinely concerned for him, he felt a warm current surge into his heart. It was a feeling he had never experienced before.

"What is this emotion I am feeling? Is this what it feels like to be cared for?" Felix thought to himself in a daze.

"Okay, bring him to his room," Trinity sighed in relief, instructing Zephyr and Brixton as they carried Felix to a small room with only a hard wooden bed and a chair. They all stood around the bed, looking at Felix's pale face with deep worry. They couldn't afford healing medicine, and the thought of something serious happening to Felix weighed heavily on their minds.

BANG

"Damn those bastards, just wait, someday I'll make them pay," Brixton punched the wall in anger. Trinity and Zephyr shared his anger, but they knew they were powerless to seek revenge in their current state.

"Don't worry, I'll be okay by tomorrow. You all should go rest," Felix said weakly, gratitude in his eyes.

Trinity, Zephyr, and Brixton nodded, stepping out of the room with heavy sighs.

Felix was overwhelmed with gratitude, as it was the first time in his life that someone truly cared about him. "This feeling isn't so bad," Felix thought with a smile on his pale face. The memory of the group of children crying and asking about his well-being filled Felix's heart with a warmth he had never felt before.

"Hiss, cough! Darn, it seems like I've sustained some serious internal injuries," Felix coughed, gasping with a pained expression. "Healing is going to be tough," he thought.

Outside the room, Trinity, Zephyr, and Brixton listened to Felix coughing and gasping, their faces pale. Zephyr clenched his fist so tightly that his knuckles turned white, his handsome face turning cold with a gleam of anger in his eyes. Trinity and Brixton also clenched their fists in frustration.

"Big sister, we need to do something, or this will never end and I'm afraid something bad will happen to big bro Felix," Brixton said with deep concern.

"What can we do, Brixton? There are only a few of us, and we can't take them on. Confronting them with our strength is like hitting an egg against a stone," Trinity said bitterly.

" And also we have to protect the children. If they decide to take their anger out on them, it will be a disaster," Zephyr added with a cold look.

"But are we just going to let this continue?" Brixton was not convinced.

"We don't have to rush. Just like big bro said, our chance will come," Zephyr said with narrowed eyes.

"From now on, we have to be cautious. We need to be extremely careful when we go out and not let the children leave the house," Trinity instructed.

Brixton and Zephyr nodded in understanding.

"Alright, go get some rest. We'll talk more tomorrow," Trinity said.

Zephyr and Brixton nodded and made their way their rooms.

Trinity glanced at Felix room with complex emotions and turned to her room.
