The twelve cities surrounding Atmos Forest were bustling with activity.
Massive red pillars completely surrounded the cities, emitting a destructive aura that could be sensed from miles away.
Deep, frightening roars and hissing sounds could also be heard echoing through the air.
Streaks of light could be seen rushing towards the red pillars, these steaks of lights are naturally the adventurers, rogues Cultivators, and other mana cultivators heading towards the dungeons.
Teams of heavily armed soldiers rode giant warhorses towards the pillars, adding to the chaos.
The atmosphere around Atmos Forest was alive with intense energy.
---------------------------
About half an hour later, the Morningstar Adventurer Team arrived at a dungeon where the seal had already been broken.
The area within ten kilometers of the dungeon had become a dead zone, with swarms of dungeon monsters rushing out only to be repelled by soldiers and adventurers standing guard.
The scene was chaotic, with corpses of monsters and various races littering the battlefield.
The monsters seemed never-ending, pouring out of the dungeon in large numbers. Trinity observed the battlefield from a distance, her expression calm.
"Captain, according to the mission you accepted, if we defeat the final boss of this dungeon, the mission will be complete and the dungeon will return to its sealed state," Dilya reported to Trinity while also looking at the battlefield.
"I know" Trinity nodded and turned around "Alright everyone, our first target is the final boss. Let's claim our rewards," Trinity announced confidently.
"Got it, Captain!" they all shouted in unison, excitement and madness gleaming in their eyes. Enjoy more content from m-v l'-novelhall.net
With that, the Morningstar Adventurer Team charged towards the dungeon, diving into battle and killing all the monsters in their path.
Despite appearing disorganized, they fought in teams of two or three, advancing and retreating together, a rare sight among Adventurers.
The addition of the Morningstar Adventurer Team greatly relieved the pressure on the soldiers and the other Adventurers on the battlefield.
But Trinity and Brixton weren't participating in the battle both of them were watching from higher ground, assessing the battle below.
"Looks like some of them have a solid foundation. Do you think they'll make it?" Brixton asked casually.
"Dilya seems promising, but we'll need to keep an eye on the others and besides it depends on big bro," Trinity replied, shaking her head.
Brixton nodded in agreement as they continued observing the battle for half an hour.
"Alright, let's go. Time to take down the boss and end this," Trinity said, her golden spear appearing in her hand.
Brixton grinned, as his double axe appeared in his hand.
Tapping her foot slightly on the ground,Trinity turned into a beam of light and rushed towards the dungeon entrance, with Brixton close behind.
"Tier 3, Tier 2, follow me!" Trinity called as she entered the dungeon.
"I hope you can fulfill your end of the bargain, or else," one of the black-cloaked figures threatened as he tossed a silver ring to the other.
The other figure chuckled softly, ignoring the threat. "Don't worry, trust me. Bridgemoor City will be reduced to rubble in no time."
"Hmph, I hope so," the first figure snorted before exiting the cave.
Once alone, the remaining figure shook his head in disdain. "Idiot," he muttered, removing his hood to reveal a pale face with deep red eyes and three flickering symbols on his forehead. Two long curved horns adorned his head, along with long green hair.
"Master, are we really going to do the bidding of that human?" another figure appeared in front of the horned man, sounding indignant.
"We may be helping the human, but ultimately, we are helping ourselves. It's a trade-off. Understand" the horned man replied casually.
"Yes, Master," the black cloaked figure hurriedly bowed and said in a shaking voice filled with fear.
"Good," the man with the horns nodded and said, "Now tell the others to begin with the plan. We don't want to disappoint our ally, do we?" His eyes narrowed as he smirked coldly.
A few miles outside the Atmos Forest, a huge heavily armed fortress lay between two mountains like a giant steel beast. The aura emanating from this fortress was extremely bloodthirsty, with fierce killing intent lingering in the air. Huge arrow towers could be seen standing on the high walls of the fortress in all four directions, with teams of soldiers visible on the walls.
Additionally, the entrance of the fortress was filled with soldiers, and fortifications could be seen around the perimeter.
In essence, the fortress was completely armed to the teeth. Even the weakest soldiers on the walls and around the fortress were Tier 2 Intermediate Knights, showing that none of them were weak. All of them had gone through the baptism of war.
"Commander, report," a soldier stood in front of a huge, burly man wearing heavy armor with a stone-cold face and only one eye.
This man was the Commander of the Iron Fortress, Maximus Lionheart.
"Go ahead," Maximus said to the soldier.
"Commander, according to the scouts, the Magical Beasts are starting to get restless," the soldier reported.
"Hmm, it seems the beast tide is about to begin," Maximus narrowed his eyes and said.
"Inform the rest of the soldiers to be on high alert, and also instruct the scouts to keep their eyes on the Atmos Forest," Maximus instructed.
"Understood, Commander," the soldier responded.
"Commander, report!" Suddenly, another soldier burst into the command room and said in a hurried tone.
Maximus's eyes flashed coldly as he looked at the soldier.
"Sorry, Commander, for my abrupt entry but there is an emergency" the soldier quickly apologized and said.
Maximus took a deep breath and signal the soldier to speak.
The Soldier took a deep breath and said in a shaking voice, " Commander the beast tide have already began".
"What!" The other soldier standing at the side exclaimed with shock in his eyes.
Although seem calm on the surface but he was surprised in heart he didn't expect the Beast tide to start now.
