After what felt like an eternity, Felix and his team finally managed to dismember the body of the Drake.
Before them lay towering heaps of its valuable parts: a mountain of meat stacked high, glistening scales piled together, and various other precious materials.
And also there are massive wooden barrels number upto hundreds of them. These wooden barrels are filled with the Drake's blood essence, which was second only to its Magic Core in value.
The scales were incredibly tough; even their best weapons barely left a scratch on them. Without the System's help, dismembering this beast would have been nearly impossible.
Felix couldn't help but grimace at the thought of how much BEP he'd have to fork over for that assistance.
According to the System, this Drake was a Tier 9 Forbidden Magical Beast and was on the brink of breaking into the Saint Realm.
"What a pity," Felix muttered, shaking his head. It truly was unfortunate; this creature had been so close to achieving greatness before being sealed away and killed.
"Alright, everyone! Let's start gathering these treasures!" Felix called out enthusiastically as storage rings appeared in his hands.
He passed them around to Trinity and the others. With just a thought, they began storing all the Drake's body parts inside those rings, a surprisingly smooth process.
A few minutes later, every last piece was safely tucked away.
"Hmmm... Big bro, I'm kinda confused," Zephyr suddenly said, turning to Felix with furrowed brows.
"What are you confused about?" Felix asked curiously.
"Well," Zephyr continued hesitantly, "if someone sealed the Drake here for ten thousand years, why would they come back now to kill it? Wouldn't they have done it ages ago?"
Felix raised an eyebrow in surprise; he hadn't considered that angle. "You've got a point there," he admitted thoughtfully. "Why wait until now?"
"I get what you're saying," Felix nodded slowly. "But are we sure it's even the same person who sealed it that came back to finish it off?"
Zephyr scratched his head over Felix words. "Huh! You're right about that too!"
"Okay then," Felix said with a wave of his hand as if dismissing their musings. " Let's not talk about that, let's focus on what we can control."
"Hmmm, big bro," Trinity suddenly called out to Felix, breaking the tension in the air.
Felix turned to her, curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
Trinity hesitated for a moment, her brow furrowed. "Is what you and the Drake talked about true?"
Zephyr, Brixton, Gwendolyn, and Nixie leaned in closer; they had all have heard the conversation between Felix and the Drake.
Felix's gaze lingered on Trinity as he sighed inwardly.
Previously when he first scanned her talent and he discovered that Trinity have a bloodline and it was even sealed, his mind raced with possibilities.
A bloodline could be sealed for one of two reasons: either it was incredibly powerful,so potent that its bearer couldn't fully harness its potential or it was sealed by someone with ulterior motives.
Given Trinity's past as a slave, Felix suspected she fell into the first category.
His intrigue deepened when he learned that even the system couldn't identify her bloodline.
But then came the shocking revelation: the Drake wanted to eat Trinity! Why would such a massive creature target her specifically among all of them present? She wasn't even qualify to be a snack!
"Who?" they all asked in unison.
Felix pointed dramatically at Brixton.
"Me?" Brixton scratched his head in confusion.
"You mean Brixton?" Zephyr exclaimed incredulously.
"Yes!" Felix affirmed. "But I'm not sure which type he has."
"How do you know?" Nixie pressed curiously.
"Well," Felix began thoughtfully, "have you ever seen anyone grow stronger just by eating? Plus, this guy can grow into a ten-meter giant or shrink down to normal size! And look at his skin—it's covered in runes! That's simply unheard of!"
Trinity and the others paused for a moment before realization hit them: how could someone gain strength merely from eating? It was mind-boggling!
They turned their gazes toward Brixton, who was happily munching on an enormous thigh of some unknown magical beast.
Brixton felt a jolt of surprise as all eyes suddenly turned toward him. "What?!"
"Nothing, just keep eating," Felix replied, waving his hand with an amused, speechless expression.
"Big bro, are you sure I don't have some kind of bloodline?" Nixie pressed again, her curiosity bubbling over.
Felix met her gaze seriously and said, "Well, you might have one."
"Really? What type of bloodline do I have?" Nixie's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"You possess the Eternal Money Worshipping Bloodline," Felix declared with a straight face.
"Pfft! Hahahaha!" Zephyr erupted into laughter. Trinity and Gwendolyn struggled to contain their giggles; faint chuckles slipped through despite their best efforts.
Nixie's face flushed crimson with anger as she lunged at Felix, baring her teeth and claws. "Screw you, big bro! I'm ready to fight this time!"
"Alright, alright! I won't tease you again!" Felix quickly dodged to the side, waving his hands in surrender.
Trinity stepped in to restrain Nixie gently. "Okay, Nixie. Big bro was just joking."
"Hmph!" Nixie crossed her arms defiantly, still fuming.
"Now that we've settled e everything here," Felix said quickly to shift the mood, "let's explore and see if we can find anything valuable." The others nodded eagerly and began searching the expansive hall around them.
Thirty minutes passed without a single discovery.
"Big bro! Come here quick!" Zephyr's voice rang out suddenly.
Felix and the others dashed over to her side. "What is it?" he asked breathlessly.
"Look!" Zephyr pointed a trembling finger toward the depths of a massive room.
Felix turned to follow her gaze—and his eyes widened in shock as fear washed over him.
"Oh My Motherfucking Goodness!"
