Jarvis gazed down at the leader of the hooded figures, who lay on the ground paralyzed with fear, yellow liquid soaking through his pants.
It was almost comical to see a dignified Tier 7 Legendary Knight reduced to this state.
Shaking his head in disbelief, Jarvis narrowed his eyes.
A flash of red light illuminated the scene as the leader's head shot into the air, blood gushing from his neck like a fountain.
With a simple wave of his hand, numerous storage rings floated up from the corpses around him and landed in his palm, his expression unchanged.
"Si... sir," Quill stammered, his voice trembling.
Turning around with an unruffled demeanor, Jarvis met Quill's fearful gaze. The guards instinctively took a few steps back.
Quill swallowed hard as beads of sweat rolled down his chubby cheeks. "Sir, could you escort me back to the Royal Capital? I'll reward you handsomely."
Jarvis regarded him coolly and replied, "Follow me." He then turned and strode away toward where Felix and the others waited.
Quill exchanged glances with the Captain of the Guards. "Come on, let's follow him," he urged.
"But Young Master," cautioned the Captain, eyeing Jarvis's retreating figure warily. "What if he has ulterior motives or wants to kill you?"
"Are you stupid? Have you forgotten how easily he dispatched those others?" Quill shook his head in exasperation before hurrying after Jarvis.
The Captain watched Quill's back with cold lights flickering in his eyes, killing intent brewing in them; yet fear crept in when he glanced at Jarvis again.
Taking a deep breath, he waved for the remaining guards to follow as they brought up their carriage behind them.
As they walked side by side, Jarvis noticed Quill's cautious expression, his body trembled slightly with each step, cheeks jiggling like jelly.
Jarvis couldn't help but twitch an eyebrow at this sight before shaking his head in bemusement.
"Be careful of that guard of yours," he murmured quietly as if speaking to himself.
But Quill heard him loud and clear; confusion washed over his face before gratitude took its place. "Thank you."
Jarvis nodded without further comment as they exited the valley littered with bloody corpses.
"Sir, may I ask who you are?" Quill ventured hesitantly as they approached Felix and company.
With a fleeting glance at Quill, Jarvis replied simply, "I'm just a butler."
Quill's eyes widened in disbelief. "Damn! Are butlers nowadays so powerful?" He muttered under his breath before determination sparked within him. "I need one!"
---
"Why is Jarvis taking so long? Lunch is almost ready!" Zephyr exclaimed, glancing anxiously in the direction Jarvis had disappeared.
"Relax! Jarvis can handle himself; nothing's going to happen to him," Brixton replied, his mouth full of a roasted thigh that was bigger than Nixie's head.
Zephyr rolled his eyes and turned to Fellix. "Big bro, aren't you worried?"
"Worried about what?" Felix asked, also munching on a chicken drumstick.
"I mean, something could have happened to Jarvis!" Zephyr insisted.
"Zephyr, you're underestimating Jarvis. He's more than what he seems on the surface " Felix said with a knowing smile.
"Huh? What are you guys talking about? What happened to Jarvis?" Nixie chimed in, her curiosity piqued as she looked from Felix to Zephyr and Brixton.
"Nothing serious; it seems like something caught his attention over there, so he went to check it out," Felix waved dismissively.
"Huh! Look! Here comes Jarvis!" Zephyr exclaimed. "And it looks like he's bringing some people with him!"
Felix nodded thoughtfully, choosing not to pry further. "Then come join us! Once we're done here, we'll continue our journey to the Royal Capital." He gestured invitingly toward the spread of food.
"Okay!" Quill didn't hesitate; his eyes lit up as he stared at the table laden with dishes. His mouth watered in anticipation.
"What a glutton," Nixie scoffed, casting a disdainful glance at Quill.
Unfazed by her remark, Quill plopped down at the table and began devouring the food like there was no tomorrow.
Felix and the others exchanged incredulous looks as they watched him eat, his cheeks jiggling with every enthusiastic bite.
An hour later, everyone had finished their meal and packed up to resume their journey.
As they set off along the road again, Felix opted for a horse this time instead of riding in the carriage.
Una sat comfortably in front of him while Quill joined them on another horse beside Felix.
Felix looked speechlessly at Quill who was wriggling his fat butt on the horse making the horse trembled with each step it took.
"Big bro Felix," Quill called out as they rode side by side, "where did you come from on your way to the Royal Capital?"
Felix shot him a quick glance and replied casually, "We came from Brigdemoor City."
"Wow! Brigdemoor City? That place is so far away, you must have been traveling forever!" Quill exclaimed, eyes wide with awe.
"Yeah," Felix smiled and nodded.
"Hmmm... Big bro Felix," Quill said cautiously as he glanced around. "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure," Felix raised an eyebrow curiously. "What is it?"
"Well," Quill scratched his chubby cheeks sheepishly, "where did you get that butler? I want one too!"
Felix chuckled softly. "I bought him from the slave market."
"What?!" Quill's eyes widened in shock. "You hit the jackpot! How can a butler be so powerful? I really want one too!"
"Well," Felix replied nonchalantly, "your clan must be strong enough to get you a butler who's even more powerful than Jarvis."
Quill nodded proudly but then shrugged. "Yeah, my clan is powerful, but my father won't allow it since all those old geezers are considered assets."
Felix raised an eyebrow again. "Your clan must be pretty formidable if it managed to establish itself in the Royal Capital."
"Of course!" Quill puffed out his chest with pride. "There's not a soul in this kingdom who doesn't know our Maywraith Noble Clan!"
"Oh!" Felix flashed a grin, his eyes sparkling with intriguing thoughts as he looked ahead. Just like that, Felix and his companions had been on the road for half a month, and time seemed to fly by in the blink of an eye.
During this journey, Felix, along with Quill and the others, forged closer bonds, except for Nixir.
The two of them didn't see eye to eye as they will fight the moment they crossed each other.
Quill took every opportunity to regale them with tales of the Royal Capital, the powerful noble families, various factions, and all the pitfalls they needed to navigate upon arrival.
It was during these weeks that Felix began to grasp just how formidable the Quill Clan truly was.
Quill couldn't help but boast about his clan and how badass his clan is prowess; which left Felix both speechless and also slightly alarmed.

"Big bro Felix! Look! We've arrived at the Royal Capital!" Quill exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear as he pointed ahead.
Felix lifted his gaze in Quill's direction. The moment he did, his eyes widened in shock and astonishment.
"Hisss..." He inhaled deeply before exclaiming, "Damn! This is the Royal Capital!"
