Chapter 179: The Execution

In Beijing, under a hazy afternoon sky, a black sedan sat discreetly parked along the bustling street near the imposing CinkoSolar building. Inside the sedan, the four operators from Sentinel Security Solutions were alert and poised, their attention fixed on the building's main entrance.

The car, chosen for its nondescript appearance and local registration, blended seamlessly with the city's traffic, allowing the team to surveil without arousing suspicion. The operators, dressed like typical casual people, maintained a low profile, their eyes occasionally scanning the surrounding area through dark sunglasses that concealed their vigilant gaze.

The interior of the sedan was quiet, save for the soft hum of the heater combating the cold weather. They had arrived early, ensuring they could secure the best vantage point to monitor the exit of Wei Chen, expected to leave his office for a meeting.

The leader of the group codenamed Hawk, checked his watch and then glanced at a small, sophisticated device that displayed a live feed from a discreetly placed camera focusing on the building's VIP parking area.

"He should be exiting any minute now. He is alone. Remember, eyes on the target the moment he appears. We need a clean extraction. No mistakes," Hawk whispered, his voice barely audible.

Beside him, the operator known as Rake nodded slightly, his hand resting on a concealed panel beneath his seat where his weapon lay dismantled, ready to be assembled swiftly if needed. The other two members, Viper and Raptor, were equally focused, reviewing last-minute details on their tablets, which displayed maps and escape routes.

Finally, the moment they had been waiting for arrived. A sleek black BMW 7 series rolled out from the parking area, glinting under the sun.

"Target vehicle in sight," Viper announced quietly, his eyes never leaving the car as it approached the street.

"Positions, everyone. Let's make this smooth," Hawk ordered softly. As the BMW signaled and turned onto the road, the sedan's engine hummed quietly to life, ready to follow at a safe distance, blending into the traffic while keeping the target within sight. Their plan was set in motion, and there was no turning back now.

They tailed their target, making left and right turns until they arrived at a street where there was no traffic.

Hawk gave the signal.

"Now," he murmured.

The driver of the sedan, Raptor, expertly accelerated, closing the gap between them and the BMW. Within moments, they overtook the sleek car. The sedan's driver swiftly maneuvered the vehicle to cut in front of the BMW, forcing it to a sudden, sharp stop. The abrupt action left no room for the BMW to escape; it was effectively boxed in between the sedan and the roadside.

"Now, let's make it appear that it was robbery, take everything. Cellphone, wallet, even the car keys," Hawk commanded as he stepped out of the sedan to oversee the scene.

Rake and Viper quickly complied, efficiently rifling through Wei's pockets, and removing his wallet, phone, and other personal items. Viper then moved to the BMW and then drove off.

Raptor, meanwhile, scanned the area to ensure no onlookers or surveillance cameras could compromise their operation. Satisfied with the perimeter's security, he turned his attention to one of the hatest spectators of all, the CCTV cameras.

Good thing he had his laptop and so he hacked into the local network to access the CCTV footage. With a few swift keystrokes, he identified the cameras that might have recorded their activities and began to overwrite the files with generic looped traffic footage.

"Camera feeds are now clean," Raptor reported, closing his laptop with a click.

"Let's move out before anyone gets too curious," Hawk commanded, scanning the street one last time for any potential witnesses or late-responding security personnel.

The team quickly piled into their sedan, with Raptor taking the wheel. The engine hummed to life, and they merged back into traffic, their exit as smooth and unnoticed as their arrival.

In an undisclosed location, within Beijing.

"Well since we are making it out like a robbery, we can't burn it. We will follow our stories, the thief's conscience got the best of him and left the vehicle, wiped off of any DNA and fingerprints," Hawk said decisively as they drove to a less conspicuous location to abandon the BMW.

Viper and Rake immediately set to work once they parked in a quiet, dimly lit side street far from the main thoroughfares. They meticulously cleaned the interior of the car, wiping down every surface they might have touched. Special attention was given to the steering wheel, dashboard, door handles, and any other areas likely to retain fingerprints or DNA.

After ensuring the vehicle was devoid of any trace that could link back to them or their operation, Viper found a place to discreetly drop the keys nearby, making it appear as if the car had been abandoned in haste.

"Everything's clear. It looks like a typical car theft gone wrong. They'll find it in the morning and think the thief ditched it," Viper reported, stepping back to review their work.

"Good. Let's head back. We need to debrief and prepare for extraction," Hawk responded. "It's a success."
