Five days later, at the Golden Topper, Michael's office.
"You want to start a what?" Juliet and Antoneitte exclaimed in unison, while Bridget remained calm.
Michael simply relished their reactions for a moment before confirming with a nod.
"You heard me, I'm starting a new enterprise, and this time it's in the aerospace and defense industry," Michael continued, leaning back in his chair. "Given the current geopolitical situation with China, it's a necessary step to ensure our national security and strengthen our position."
Juliet was the first to regain her composure. "Okay, what products do you intend on introducing to the market? Don't tell me it's fighter jets or helicopters."
Michael laughed softly as he shook his head. "No, we won't go to that yet. I'm planning
to start with missile systems. Specifically, we'll be developing advanced Anti-Air Missile Systems and Long-Range Anti-Ship Missiles."
"And do you have the schematics, the blueprints, the necessary infrastructure, and facilities to start a production line for these missile systems?" Antoinette asked.
Michael nodded confidently. "I've already considered that. We'll need a location that's secure, expansive, and away from populated areas for safety reasons. I've been looking at potential sites and found a few options. That's the easy part, the problem is getting the necessary permits and licenses.
After all, this is a defense industry we are talking about and there are stringent regulations to navigate. Which is why I called you here, Mrs. Estolas."
As Michael said that, he stared at Antoinette.
"Hmm...let me guess because I know a lot of politicians and have experience dealing with bureaucratic red tape?" Antoinette finished his thought, raising an eyebrow.
"Exactly," Michael confirmed. "Your connections and experience will be invaluable in getting my missiles into the market."
Antoinette nodded, already formulating a plan in her mind. "I'll get started on that right away."
"Don't worry about it, I have it covered. I'll fill you in in the next few days about it."
"Okay."
"That will be all, dismissed."

Over the next few days, the team worked tirelessly to set things in motion. Antoinette used her connections to arrange meetings with the key political figures, Juliet coordinated the logistics and integration of new hires, and Bridget began laying the groundwork for a solid supply chain and R&D partnerships.
On Monday morning, Michael and Antoinette arrived at the Armed Forces headquarters for their meeting with General Lontoc. The General greeted them warmly and invited them into his office.
"Mr. Reyes, Mrs. Estolas, welcome. I've heard a lot about your company's achievements," General Lontoc began.
"Thank you, General," Michael replied. "We're here to discuss our latest venture into the aerospace and defense industry. Given the current geopolitical tensions, we believe our advanced missile systems could significantly enhance our national security."
"Advance missile systems? Are you saying you have a prototype?" General Lontoc asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Yes, General. We have a prototype, but we'll demonstrate it once all the necessary regulations, permits, and licenses are taken care of. Our primary focus right now is to ensure we are compliant with all legal requirements and have your support to move forward."
General Lontoc leaned back in his chair, considering Michael's words. "I understand. The approval process can be cumbersome, but if your technology is as advanced as you say, it could be a game-changer for our national defense. I'll support your initiative and facilitate the necessary clearances from the military side."
"Thank you, General," Michael replied, shaking his hand. "We appreciate your support and will keep you updated on our progress."
"And Mr. Reyes, thank you for your service. We are always importing defense technologies, so it's encouraging to see local development in this field," General Lontoc added.
Michael nodded appreciatively. "We're committed to ensuring our country has the best defense capabilities. We'll be in touch soon with more updates."
After leaving the Armed Forces headquarters, Michael and Antoinette quickly moved on to their next meeting with Senator Isabel Santos.
