Bridget stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a fluffy white towel, her hair still damp from the shower. She looked refreshed and relaxed, her skin glowing as she walked into the bedroom. Spotting Michael still seated at the kitchen table, she raised an eyebrow curiously.
"What happened?" she asked, making her way over to him. "You look like you're deep in thought."
Michael glanced up from his laptop and smiled at her, his thoughts still lingering on the conversation he'd just had. "I just inquired about a house in Forbes Park," he said, his voice tinged with excitement. "And we've got an appointment to view it at 3 PM today."
Bridget's eyes widened in surprise. "Forbes Park? That's one of the most exclusive areas in Manila! What made you think of looking there?"
Michael leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. "I've been thinking about it for a while. The penthouse is great, but I feel like we're ready for something bigger, something more permanent. A place where we can really put down roots."
Bridget took a seat next to him, her interest piqued. "Tell me more about the house. What's it like?"
"It's incredible," Michael said, pulling up the listing on his laptop and turning the screen toward her. "It's a modern design with a private pool, home theater, gym, and a spacious garden. Everything we could want—and more."
Bridget's eyes scanned the photos on the screen, taking in the elegant design and luxurious features. "Wow," she breathed, clearly impressed. "It looks amazing. I can see us living there."
Michael nodded, his excitement growing as he watched her reaction. "The agent mentioned that it's in a very quiet and exclusive neighborhood. Apparently, some pretty high-profile people live there too. Manny Pacquio, Senator Valdez, even Ramon de la Cruz."
Bridget looked up from the screen, a smile playing on her lips. "Sounds like we'd be in good company. I'm really excited to see it."
"So am I," Michael replied, reaching out to take her hand. "It feels like the perfect next step for us."
Bridget looked up at him, her eyes full of love and anticipation. "More than ready."
Michael and Bridget drove through the bustling streets of Manila, leaving the familiar sights of the city behind as they made their way toward Forbes Park. The drive was smooth, and despite the traffic that often plagued the city, there was a sense of calm in the car as they talked about their excitement for the upcoming house viewing.
As they approached the entrance of Forbes Park, Michael couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The gated community was known for its exclusivity, and the tree-lined streets and well-manicured lawns hinted at the luxury and privacy that awaited inside. The security at the gate was tight, but after a quick check and a friendly wave from the guard, they were allowed entry.
Michael navigated the quiet streets, passing by impressive houses that stood as testaments to the wealth and status of their owners. Each property was distinct, with grand architecture and sprawling gardens that were a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the city just outside the gates.
As they turned onto the street where the house was located, Bridget leaned forward in her seat, her eyes wide with anticipation.
"It's beautiful!"
Michael nodded in agreement. "It really does. I can already imagine us living here."
Finally, they arrived at the address Clara had given them. Michael pulled the car into the driveway, and they both took a moment to admire the house in person. It was even more impressive than the photos had shown. The modern design, with its clean lines and large windows, gave the house a sleek and sophisticated look.
The lush greenery surrounding the property provided a sense of privacy, while the driveway itself was lined with meticulously trimmed hedges.
As they stepped out of the car, they were greeted by Clara, who was waiting for them at the entrance. She was a poised and professional woman in her early thirties, dressed in a sharp suit that exuded confidence. She smiled warmly as she approached them.
"Mr. Reyes, Ms. von Reimann, welcome to Forbes Park," she said, extending her hand in greeting. "I'm so glad you could make it. You're going to love this property."
