Chapter 624: 592: The Correct Way to Start the Game?

Chapter 624: Chapter 592: The Correct Way to Start the Game?

There’s a misunderstanding here.

In Terraria, NPCs are a crucial part, entirely different from the NPCs in “My World”, who are merely tools and productivity elements.

Sometimes, incredibly powerful or magical items are sold in NPC shops.

For example, a glowing mining hat, powerful bomb, glow sticks for underground exploration, healing potion, various consumables like throwing and arrow items, etc.

As the game progresses, more potent weapons, better equipment, and handy items would be available for sale.

One can say that NPCs are an essential part of the entire Terraria gaming system.

For this reason, different NPCs have different conditions to move in. For instance, a merchant requires you to have more than 50 silver coins, a demolitionist requires you to have a bomb, and a nurse requires you to have used a life crystal, and so on.

But before all these conditions, there’s a very basic requirement-

You need to prepare a standard room for them: it must have enough space, a roof and walls, a table or workbench, a chair, lighting, and a door.

Only when all these requisites are fulfilled, is it considered “safe” for an NPC to move in.

If any condition is not met, they absolutely would not move in.

The hastily cobbled together matchbox that Yi built is too small and doesn’t have a door, so it obviously doesn’t meet the requirements.

So, when the Guide said that Yi’s house is horrible, it’s not out of repugnance, but a hint- a hint to make his house better and not to trick people with a matchbox.

Regrettably, Yi’s perspectives didn’t turn around that quickly. At this point, he could only feel the bile rise, wishing he could kill the NPC with his own hands.

The bad news is: a player cannot harm an NPC, his fired arrows are utterly useless.

The good news is: the Guide was surrounded and killed by the monsters.

After watching this, Yi contentedly closed the window, lit the torch, and under the howling of the zombies outside, began to study the crafting system.

His current goal is mining, so naturally, he starts by making torches.

Unlike Cloud Dream’s “My World” that auto generates around the player.

If the player decides to ignore the original terrain and digs in random directions, they will probably not find any mines unless they are incredibly lucky...

Yi is completely unaware of this, just keeping his head down and pounding on the rocks, hoping to find gold mines and upgrade his tools.

As a result, he’s been digging for a good long while, apart from occasionally encountering 1 or 2 slimes and killing them easily, nothing else happened.

—— Everyone here is an old player, a few bouncing slimes pose no threat at all.

Therefore, the stream became very boring.

The audience watching Yi, who was acting like a miner continuously digging — and still not finding any mines, naturally felt bored.

As a result ——

They started multitasking!

While Yi’s stream was on, they went to watch other streamers.

After all, on the [Survival Condition Race] event page, there are 8 major streamers streaming simultaneously just on the first page, so there’s always going to be something exciting to watch.

Compared to Yi, Camille Victoria’s situation is much better.

Due to her unease about “horror” elements, she chose not to dig downwards, but explored the surface with three hardcore fans.

Tall straight trees stretch into the distance, the ground covered with lush grass, dotted with patches of sunflowers and unknown wildflowers, along with rabbits and birds running around, it’s very lively.

Camille Victoria looking at this harmonious environment, quickly relaxes.

“This isn’t scary at all!”

She even began to doubt if everyone was fooled by Lincoln.

The exploration that followed seemed to confirm this: They discovered a cave, and brandishing torches walked in, not going far before seeing several pottery jars standing on the ground.
