Chapter 677: 644: The True Italian Cannon

Chapter 677: Chapter 644: The True Italian Cannon

This recon soldier’s idea was simple and crude:

For Daxia, located at the edge of the map, the mobility of tanks was a bit insufficient. The large bombers at home had enough mobility, but no weapons.

Then, wouldn’t the problem be solved if the bomber carried the tank?

Have you ever seen a bomber with a 120mm tank gun as its weapon?

After Izumo players were eliminated and the airport was destroyed, no large-scale air force appeared on the map.

Considering that players from Daxia found an intact tank, it’s reasonable to infer that there are still operational airplanes on the map, but a single one wouldn’t pose much of a threat.

It’s debatable who would be afraid if they saw the barrel of the tank.

Unless someone could produce a supersonic fighter jet, then that would be undeniable, and they would just have to accept their fate.

There are two main points of contention:

One is the feasibility issue.

This is easily solved – trying it won’t make you pregnant.

The other point of contention is: why must the tank be an aviation gun, and not a naval gun?

After slacking off for so long, players from Daxia were getting bored and wanted to stir things up.

Compared to just letting one or two pilots stir things up, it would be more exciting for hundreds of players to operate “warships” and bomb their way along the coastline!

As the players from Daxia discussed, they already sent the bomber over.

The current battlefield situation made it unrealistic to expect a single tank to return on its own – it would definitely be destroyed on the road.

If they went too slow, the tank might even be snatched away by others.

So, discussion aside, time couldn’t be delayed.

When the Daxia bomber went to pick up the tank, Russian and German players had already bulldozed their way through, destroying the positions of all countries along the way.

Four were completely eliminated, and three more managed to escape with some players, but they were already powerless to fight.

Not until they saw a distant mangrove forest did they realize they had pushed all the way to the edge of the map.

The mangrove forest was not chosen by any country, and further west of the mangroves was the sea, where no one lived.

Russian and German players found supplies at the edge of the mangrove forest, replenished some of their consumption and turned southward.

Their consensus had been reached: clear all T3 War Zones from the battlefield before the final battle.

In the previous official live room, apart from the series of events caused by nuclear bombs, their screens had the most legitimate competition and fighting.

Whether in terms of kills or the number of countries eliminated, they were the current MVPs.

Compared to their achievements, their respective losses were just over 100, making their loss ratio quite splendid.

A small problem.

Even if they actually died, including the pilot, that’s only 7 lives, in exchange for 3 Italian Cannons, it would be a huge profit, right?!

As for what the current Italian players were doing?

They walked along the edge of the nuclear explosion, suffering a loss of a third of their troops, and even more so, being shaken by the earth-shattering explosion that left them unable to control themselves.

This kind of close-range impact was nothing like witnessing a mushroom cloud from a distance.

They all felt that they needed to do something to relax their tense nerves.

So they retreated into the city and began—

Setting up the pots and cooking!

This scene was truly outrageous.

Almost the entire battlefield was engulfed in chaotic gunfire and raining bullets.

Even players not fighting were monitoring the battlefield situation.

Though the Daxia players were bored and continuously chatting, they were always watching the faction channel updates and had a real-time sand table tracking all movements.

Only the Italian players, however, set up their stoves and started cooking, ignoring everything else happening around them.

Without a doubt, this isolated event caught the attention of the live broadcast director. He focused on main shots of the Italian players cooking, ignoring the fierce battles occurring in all other parts of the battlefield.

A small window occasionally popped up on the live streaming screen, displaying the progress of their cooking.

Ren Jian was left scratching his head in confusion, but since the director’s shots were already in play, it would be inappropriate not to comment: ”

“As we can see, the Italian players are cooking amid the battle...”

“Okay, we see that the Italian players are now cutting tomatoes.”

“Right, the water is boiling now, and the Italian players are adding noodles to the pot...”

...

Players were struggling to contain their laughter.

Meanwhile, the Italian players cooking in the game quickly found the Easter egg Lincoln secretly hid in the game—

“Why does this potato... taste a bit strange?”

An Italian player, holding a potato in his hand, sniffed it suspiciously close to his nose.

“What, it’s gone bad? Can virtual world food go bad?” a curious teammate asked.

“Not bad, but...” The potato-holding player hesitated, “I think my nose is malfunctioning. Why does this potato smell like flowers?”

He sniffed it fiercely once again, even more confident in his statement: “Yes, it’s just like the cherry blossoms! Last year, my wife and I went to see cherry blossoms at Izumo Meguro River, and it smells exactly like that!”

“Cherry blossom flavored potatoes??” The teammate’s face was immediately filled with question marks.
