Chapter XIX

The next day, Lu Feng drowsily opened his eyes and woke up. He reached for his phone beside his bed to take a look, it was only 7 in the morning.

This was an unprecedented event for Lu Feng, as he had never woken up this early before.

After that, Lu Feng seemed to hear voices coming from outside the room. He crawled up from the bed, put on a coat, and walked out of the room with a push of the door.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, Shen Zechen, who was wearing a jacket standing at the entrance, raised his head, and looked straight into Lu Feng's eyes.

Without knowing why, Lu Feng suddenly thought of the dream he had last night. That pair of calm eyes just so happened to overlap with Shen Zechen's current eyes.

"I have some matters at the police station, I'll be leaving first. Breakfast is on the table, remember to eat first."

Shen Zechen was already dressed neatly as he looked at Lu Feng and said.

"Oh, okay."

Lu Feng nodded.

Shen Zechen opened the door, his hand still on the doorknob. Suddenly, he seemed to have thought of something, stopped his footsteps, and asked Lu Feng: "What do you want to eat tonight?"

"Anything is fine."

Lu Feng did not even think about it, and directly replied, but then, he suddenly remembered something, and added, "Other than vegetables, I'm fine with anything."

"You can't be picky about food."

Shen Zechen sighed helplessly.

Lu Feng spread his hands.

"Mm, alright, I understand."

Shen Zechen was truly helpless against Lu Feng, he nodded and said, "Then I'll be leaving first, remember to eat breakfast, don't be hungry."

With that, Shen Zechen closed the door and left.

Lu Feng leaned against the door with both hands, reached out to scratch his forehead, and furrowed his brows, why did he feel that something was amiss?

Shen Zechen sure... Isn't it too gentle?

So gentle and gentle that Lu Feng really couldn't take it anymore.

Indeed, friendship is great.

After a long while, a sentence finally came out from Lu Feng's mind.

Police station

"This is a statement."

Xu Jia placed the written statement in front of Shen Zechen.

"Yes."

Shen Zechen received it and nodded his head, smiling slightly.

"You've been in a good mood these past two days?"

Xu Jia crossed his hands, leaned on the table and looked at Shen Zechen.

"Hmm? Is there? "

Shen Zechen was startled.

"Did something good happen?"

Xu Jia laughed, then lowered his voice, bent his body, and raised his eyebrows, "Or should I say, have met someone?"

Hearing that, Shen Zechen remained silent, only his lips slightly raised as he smiled indifferently.

Seeing Shen Zechen smile without saying a word, Xu Jia did not understand.

After Lu Feng finished his breakfast, he laid on the sofa and slept all the way until the afternoon. When he woke up, the sky was already almost dark.

Lu Feng sat up on the sofa and looked at the empty room. There was still a ray of light shining through the window, causing Lu Feng's heart to clench, and he felt like he had returned to the time when he was sitting alone in the empty house with his mother's legacy.

That scene was lingering in Lu Feng's mind, as though his bones were being twisted, as he kept pestering Lu Feng with that scene.

"F * ck!"

Lu Feng stretched a hand out and ruthlessly ruffled his hair. Then, he stood up, casually pulled up a jacket, put it on, and opened the door, walking out.

It was possible that the house was too warm, which made Lu Feng feel that it was not too cold outside, so the moment he stepped out of his room, he regretted it. A cold wind blew into his neck, causing Lu Feng to immediately shiver.

"This damned weather, do you have to be so cold?"

Lu Feng immediately retreated, and then turned around with the intention to return to his room. However, once he pushed open the door, Lu Feng suddenly realized something, and that was that he did not have the key at all!

Lu Feng had long started to curse in his heart, and his emotions were extremely complicated.

"Sigh, forget it."

Lu Feng let out a deep sigh, rubbed his hands together, and then stuffed his hands into his pockets.
