Chapter 211 – Cat Dad’s First Guild War (5)
The beam caught Jiang Wei off guard. The red light engulfed his entire body, and a huge number appeared.
500,000,000 DAMAGE!
Jiang Wei’s HP bars appeared. Similar to Karen, he had 10 health bars. However, five remained after that large attack.
Because of the bright light, Xiaomao averted his eyes. He brought out his staff and turned around his flying sword, retreating from the battlefield.
“You’re not going anywhere!”
The charred figure of Jiang Wei escaped from the massive beam. Aside from his equipment, his entire body suffered from the third-degree burn.
Jiang Wei bellowed, and the thousand spears rained from the sky.
Xiaomao looked up. Then, he glanced at the general area where the spears were created.
The next moment, the spears stabbed at Xiaomao!
CLANK
Xiaomao’s flying sword was broken to pieces!
The obelisk slowly dimmed, and the beam faded. Andrew looked up to the sky and saw Xiaomao’s flying sword crumbling into fragments. He widened his eyes in shock.
“HAHAHAHA! That’s what you get for offending Lord Pangu! Your soul will be trapped in Hell for the rest of eternity!” Jiang Wei laughed and wiped his face. A portion of his skin regenerated, and his sixth HP bar was slowly recovering.
Commanded by Jiang Wei, the spears slowly receded. But when the gap was opened, Jiang Wei couldn’t see Xiaomao’s corpse or his body.
He frowned for a moment. Then, he looked up.
In the sky, where the spears had first appeared, Xiaomao was free-falling.
“Teleportation?!”
Jiang Wei was surprised that Xiaomao could use a teleportation spell or a similar technique. He snorted and ordered the spears to turn around and go after Xiaomao.
BZZ
Suddenly, a small branch of electricity descended upon Jiang Wei’s left shoulder. It was so small and weak that it only caused one damage upon contact.
DING
<You have been inflicted with an abnormal status [You swear right?].>
Jiang Wei scoffed at the status effect, thinking that it was the leftover energy of the used obelisk tower. He threw one of the spears at the building.
The spear grew larger and penetrated through the tower. Andrew, who was at the foot of the tower, quickly turned around and ran for his life.
BOOM
The tower exploded and collapsed to the ground in one hit!
Seeing that the threatening tower was gone, Jiang Wei turned his attention to Xiaomao in the sky. But when he looked up again, he couldn’t find the catopus.
Jiang Wei narrowed his eyes and muttered, “Soldiers! Kill that sneaky cat!”
A thousand figure of cloud-like figures appeared and held the spears that Jiang Wei had summoned. They wore ancient Chinese armor like Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum soldiers, and they formed ranks in the sky. However, they appeared as skeleton ghosts.
A second later, one of them opened its jaws and roared. All skeleton ghosts also turned toward the invisible thing in the sky, which caused ripples as it traveled at a high speed.
“THERE!”
Jiang Wei laughed and ordered his men to charge at Xiaomao. After his men began the pursuit, he paused and frowned.
He noticed something strange. The trails that Xiaomao had left behind began to form dark thunderclouds. Sounds of angry thunder echoed on the battlefield.
It was not a normal thunderstorm for sure as Lightning Element Qi started to get denser and thicker as time passed. Moreover, the dome that sealed Xiaomao inside began to crack.
As Jiang Wei had seen this phenomenon before, he realized what the thunderclouds actually were.
“Tribulation Lightning Storm?! That stupid cat can summon tribulation lightning?! HOW?!”

Record of Transcended Dao Seedlings
Every Dao in the universe is born from a Dao Seedling, manifested from a person’s interests, principles, beliefs, goals, or actions. The strength and effects of the Dao heavily depend on the person’s character, karma, and foundation.
This Dao originated from the moral principles, life experience, and wisdom of Mimir, who accidentally witnessed the truth of the universe before the Great Reset. He collected his experience and wisdom into two books, and he passed them to Xiaomao. However, only Heaven’s chosen geniuses or the fated ones can read the content.

Transcended Dao Seedlings (Incomplete)
Mimir’s lifelong experience and collective wisdom gave birth to this Dao. However, he couldn’t practice it as it went against the principalities of Pangu and other deities. Afraid of the consequences of using a greater Dao that surpassed the strength of deities, Mimir recorded his wisdom into two books.
So far, you have read and comprehended a small portion of the first book, and you understand a couple laws of the universe and entities. Now that you know one or two simple tricks, you have the privilege to catch a glimpse of an entity’s power.

The two books that Mimir had given Xiaomao were the Record of Transcended Dao Seedlings. Xiaomao managed to understand about 5% of the two volume’s content and managed to obtain the seedlings. In addition, when Xiaomao returned to his dungeon, he used the dungeon’s mana pool to test his ability once.
The enchanted spell was none other than the Lightning Storm.
Earlier, Xiaomao used the teleportation spell to dodge the spear attacks. He reappeared 1,000 feet above the ground, above Jiang Wei and the spears.
While Xiaomao was free-falling, the [Did you Swear?] spell hit the target. And now, Xiaomao tested the enchanted grand spell for the first time.
RUMBLE
Instead of creating a regular lightning storm or a thunderstorm, the black clouds consisted of Qi and magnetic fields, generating chaotic gravity and pressure.
When Xiaomao fell closer to the clouds, his body was pushed upward instead of falling down. He snickered even though his body randomly uncontrollably flipped and turned.
“I’m in danger, munya!”
The lightning and sparks were blue-white at first, but a second later, they turned dark and red. Slowly but gradually, the black clouds turned crimson, and so did the lightning bolts.
Xiaomao managed to get his bearings and brought out another sword to step on. He floated above the clouds and wiped the sweat drops on his face.
DING
<Please assign the target.>
Suddenly, a game message appeared in front of Xiaomao. He tilted his head in confusion.
‘I need to assign a target? Wait a minute. Doesn’t the lightning storm automatically attack people…? Oh, right. Stupid me.’
Xiaomao forgot for a moment that his “Lightning Storm” was temporarily in its strongest form. Unfortunately, he couldn’t view the spell’s detail, thus, he had no idea what it would do.
Since the game wanted Xiaomao to pick a target, he chose Jiang Wei without hesitation.
‘There you go!’
Just in time, Xiaomao assigned the target, and the crimson clouds roared.
BANG
A red lightning bolt descended! The thunderous noise instantly shattered Xiaomao’s eardrums.
Even though Xiaomao’s balance was rocked, his mouth and voice came out as if he had practiced doing this a thousand times a few days ago.
“NIHIL!”
Xiaomao opened his mouth and deeply inhaled. A small particle of the crimson cloud entered Xiaomao’s mouth. Instantly, his body bloated, and his fur straightened, turning himself into a fluffy puffer catopus.
BOOM
Something small exploded inside him, causing his stomach to shine for a few seconds. The illuminating light went through Xiaomao’s skin and fur, temporarily turning him into a firefly.
DING
<You have eaten a strand of Tribulation Lightning’s Qi!>
+ 13,191 HP
+ 100,120 MP
<Your Max HP has increased by 1,319!>
<Your Max MP has increased by 10,012!>
<Your Qi has permanently increased by 13,044!>
<Your Life Qi has been restored by 130,444!>
<Your Lightning Spiritual Roots have permanently increased by 1,457!>
Xiaomao’s body instantly shrank to its regular size, and the eardrums were healed. Then, he swiped his mouth and looked down. Although he couldn’t see what that lightning bolt did because of the clouds, the eerie sounds of the spears disappeared, and the threatening presence of Jiang Wei seemed to grow weaker.
‘What’s happening down there? Oh, like I care. I want more of that juicy stats!’
Xiaomao got sidetracked and swallowed another particle of the crimson clouds.
.
.
.
Meanwhile, Jiang Wei looked at the sky in shock.
BANG
As soon as the first red appeared, it traveled through all 1,000 ghost soldiers and evaporated them to smoke. Even the spears were instantly destroyed!
As if the lightning bolt had eyes, the tip of the branch pursued Jiang Wei and touched his chest.
24,023,845 DAMAGE!
Jiang Wei’s face was ashen. He remembered the taste of this lightning bolt.
“Tribulation Lightning Bolt! How did he summon this?!”
Confused, panicked, and flustered, Jiang Wei pulled out multiple life-saving items. Voodoo dolls, talismans, and trinkets hovered and orbited around Jiang Wei.
After the first lightning bolt had hit Jiang Wei, a large eyeball inside the crimson cloud emerged. It stared at him and widened.
999
A number appeared next to the eye.
“O-One thousand lightning tribulation?!”
BANG
BANG
Two lightning bolts landed on a voodoo doll and a floating talisman, burning them to ash instantly. Meanwhile, the number reduced to 997.
Jiang Wei’s face lost all color. He immediately turned to Liu Bei, requesting permission to retreat with his eyes.
Unfortunately for him, Liu Bei disregarded the fight. He summoned a new level-999 fighter.
Jiang Wei gritted his teeth, regretting that he participated in this guild war as Liu Bei’s subordinate. He turned around and faced the tribulation lightning earnestly.
“REGRESSOR! ONCE I’M DONE WITH THIS, YOU’RE DEAD!”
BANG
Another talisman was hit and burned.
Jiang Wei was shaken in fear. He pulled out every potion and drank everything, recovering his HP to the max and getting ready to survive the ordeal.
.
On the battlefield, nobody paid attention to Shepherd and the mysterious angel. The two seemed to finish their silent deal, and the angel turned around. He unsheathed a black katana and looked at both Xiaomao and Jiang Wei.
The angel tossed something toward Shepherd, and the latter caught it. But when Shepherd realized what it was, he immediately stored it in his inventory and poured potions on his hands.
The angel smirked and flapped his wings. The next moment, he flew toward Jiang Wei.
