Chapter 33 - 33. ...hospitals...

Believe it or not, when she saw those eyes, she literally wanted to puke blood...

1. Her heart got attacked.

2. Though she knew he was deceiving her, she still walked on to the trap head-on!!

Her lips twitched imperceptibly and she heaved a huge sigh, "haaaaaah...."

"Linlin?"

"XuanXuan, do you hate me?", she asked a bit tired.

"No!!", he gave an immediate reply.

How could he possibly hate her??

"Do you think, I am too controlling?"

"mmm...mmm", he cutely shook his head from side to side, he was still continuing his act!!

"Is it that hard to keep my request?", she was still able to use a heavy tone though with difficulty after this many attacks.

She was both frustrated and tired...Was he getting tired of her and hence trying to piss her off?

She really wanted to know what he thought of her!

Qin ZiXuan was really confused because of the last few questions.

He didn't get why she was asking such stupid questions?!

But he got his answer from the last one.

Meilin was again 'questioning' her value and importance in his life...for the nth time.

Earlier Qin ZiXuan was genuinely not guilty about what he did but now he couldn't help but feel guilty.

Meilin never asked for anything, anything at all.

The one thing that she asked of him was to take good care of himself and nothing else.

Even this simple wish, he was unable to keep it...he was really guilty because she was questioning herself.

He took a deep breath and opened up, "Linlin, I'm sorry...dubuqi.."

"XuanXuan, you know I don't want to hear you apologise, right?"

"En....XuanXuan knows. Still, XuanXuan is sorry! I'm sorry I didn't take good care of my health and made you worry...I'll be careful from next time around...XuanXuan is really sorry", his head was drooped and his voice was very soft and slow, he was genuinely sorry and she knew that he won't repeat such incident again, at least, not in the near future.

A smile returned to her glacial face as she patted his head, "As long as, you know your mistake and will try not to repeat the same offense, nothing else matters...."

"hmm...XuanXuan will repent!" he nodded his head at her words.

She gave him a smile and asked again, "What happened?" She asked for the reason as she patted his head, that was resting on her stomach.

"I don't know...." He just felt that his eyes were irritated from a while ago but didn't get a chance to take a look at, so, even he was not sure.

"hm?" she raised a brow.

"I was on the computer throughout the night yesterday and today my sleep was really light due to that dream...I guess my eyes...well maybe, they got affected because of my sudden changes in sleep cycle....", he didn't want her to go into a self-blame condition again so, he just spoke the truth outright.

"Will you tell me your reason for doing that?", she at least wanted to try asking.

"I was going through our stocks that night. I was checking them...well...don't get me wrong but I was just checking the ones from our branches throughout the country and abroad..you said about uncle taking care of it, tight? I just wanted to check and before I knew it, it was morning...and about this morning, I'm not sure why myself?...."

Qin ZiXuan lied for the first half without a single change in his expression, well, for a CEO of his status it was norm but of course, that small habit of licking his lips while doing so didn't escape our Meilin's eyes, who herself was the self-proclaimed Xuan-pedia.

Her eyes slightly twitched but the better part for Qin ZiXuan was that, though she got hold of his lie, she thought that it was for the second part.....

She visibly sighed resulting in him tightening his grip further.

"Alright I got it ba" she said in her usual flat but soft voice that was reserved only for him.

"Anyway, XuanXuan I've told you many times not to over-exert yourself but you just won't listen....Am I....Am I that unreliable?"

Though she didn't use this card often still having the blood of Xia Jingyi and after spending so many years of her life with her XuanXuan, she too had picked up some perks, you know, that of the emotional card.

It worked!

"No no no...Linlin...XuanXuan was in the bad...XuanXuan is sorry...Linlin is very reliable...XuanXuan wouldn't know what he'd do without you by his side....Linlin is the only one for XuanXuan...", He pulled her down to sit by his side and confessed hurriedly.

At times like this, even if Qin ZiXuan knew that she was acting, he couldn't help but assure her, tell her that she was the only one for him...that she was the only one in this world, he trusted enough to rely on!

Qin Meilin: "......"

Why did it feel like she picked up a huge stone only for it to crash on her own legs?

It was definitely her who was trying her card but why didn't it work like 'his' was working on her?

She mentally took a note--

It seems, she still doesn't have enough EXP to use it!!

She just decided to let it go...

If worse comes to worst, she will just bring this guy back to the Qin Mansion and take care of him!!

She softly patted on the head of the dejected-XuanXuan whose imaginary furry tail was drooped down.

On a side note, Meilin was not sure herself but if asked she would say that, with that whimsical attitude, lazy behaviour around her, that noble persona and partially grumpy and childish mind her XuanXuan was definitely a white Persian cat but there are times like this, you know, when she feels like she can see dog-ears and a long furry tail on him....she is not too sure about this herself .....

Anyway, after being patted, he looked up from his hold with confused doe-eyes...

Meilin was almost gritting her teeth, 'Just how does he do it?'

"*ahem* Okay, I get it. You don't have any meetings in the morning so, let's get you a check-up."

"No, it's alright. I'm fin-"

"XuanXuan!!"

"wuuuu"

"..haaah....Even though you're fine, it's not fine for me. My heart won't stay calm. I don't want it to worsen...and we won't go to a hospital you know, so,...", she trailed off.

She knew that he was very revulsed to visit hospitals.

XuanXuan came to the mansion after his mother and her aunt, Qin Yunxi, died.

From the very day he came, they were tied by their waists to each other, but of course, she didn't know how he lived his life before that and it didn't actually matter to her anyway.

All she ever wanted was for the present him to be happy, so that, his future will be bright.

The time she didn't know about him did matter but, as long as, he is fine now, she won't force him to speak about it.

About the hospital issues, she didn't know about the matter when they were young and once forced him to follow her, only for him to get hives due to it and get hyperventilated.

She still doesn't know about the reason for such a reaction but that won't stop her from discarding the thoughts of taking him to those darn places.

What happened that day, became an emotional trauma for both, so much so that, she made it a rule to have doctors and concerned staff to be at standby anytime near their old mansion and the QMX building so that they didn't have to visit those places, she also built some high-end facilities underground of these two places for emergenvy issues.

She asked him to get out to get a check up, well, it's just that since no one else was allowed up here, they have to go out, she didn't mean to go to a hospital.

By the way, no, she doesn't have any repulsion or 'allergies' to the hospitals but after that day, whenever she even passes by one, her eyebrows involuntarily scrunches up, that is, if it's something that makes her XuanXuan unhappy, it directly goes into her blacklist, it's involutary, she can't help it.

Qin ZiXuan just smiled and wanted to get up but before he could she tugged him down, only for him to lose his balance due to the sudden force and fall over her.

But just before he crushed her under him, his honed reflexes came to good use and he stabilised himself by putting his hands on either side of her, caging her between him and the sofa.

Both froze temporarily because of the sudden loss in distance between their faces.....and looked at each other with startled faces.
