Chapter 79 - 76.....best support...

Elaine was shocked beyond words, so much so that, tears trickled down her face like pearls….

"hah…", Meilin sighed.

She turned towards Elaine and said in a diplomatic tone, "I'll expect your reports by the end of this day, we'll be out for some survey so, I expect the results by tomorrow. Please take heed of his words as the final decision is still his", saying her part, she gave a soft nod and walked away, her steps taking her closer to ZiXuan who was waiting for her by the elevator.

When she reached him she said in a soft tone,"Xuanxuan, it's nothing new. You don't need to get this angry over this, right? Protecting one's boss is a good trait to have…"

"Linli-"

"I know, Xuanxuan. But we knew this was going to happen when we decided everything, it's okay…"

Xuanxuan was a bit disheartened.

Like she said it was nothing new…humans were always hypocrites, he knew that though they put on a front of respecting her, she was ridiculed behind her back and he knew it was something she had decided earlier on, but still…he never felt it was okay, if not for their circumstances, he would never allow it…..and it was worse because he can't even make their views about her change, it would disrupt their plan.....' but still, you know....it hurts….Linlin..'

Feeling the dejected vibes the huge husky was giving away, Meilin sighed in her heart but she still felt warm inside, when he stood up for her, she was genuinely over the moon...though it didn't show on her face, she had butterflies inside.

Before Xuanxuan could get deeper into his self-loathing well, he heard a soft whisper….

"xiexie*1 "….Meilin looked at him with a smile that made her look softer.

ZiXuan mood perked up hearing her soft whisper, he brought her closer and said, " always…"

It took longer than expected, the porridge was almost done by the time they got back so, they ate the slightly bland porridge together which somehow made it tastier.

It was Meilin after all so, she still gave him apple bunnies for a light dessert, ZiXuan was definitely happy but when he reached for one, the rabbits made his imagination go wild, just this morning he got a hard-on for her rabbits and now eating them made things a bit sensitive…those supple mounds, his eyes without his knowledge went to that place....

Meilin had taken the blazer off as she was cooking, and the white shirt clung to that place...maybe it was the sweat but, he felt like he could see the white expanse through them..."GULP"

Feeling his gaze on her, Meilin looked up only to see him look upwards.

'Qin ZiXuan, calm the hell down!!!! Don't act like a sex-deprived teen!!!!', he internally screamed.

"Xuanxuan….", Meilin was startled because of his face that had a different expression every second.

"It's nothing", he replied in a hoarse voice…

Meilin applied the eye drops on him and then went on to do some papers, ZiXuan sat beside her as she went through the papers, the temperature was just right, the rhythmic sound of the flipping of papers, the soft buzzing of the AC, and most importantly the person beside made him so comfortable that ZiXuan dozed off without knowing…

It was a little before noon when he woke up to the smell of Miso soup….

Meilin had covered him with a blanket, hearing the rustling sound from the living room, Meilin came out of the kitchen and helped him take off the medicine.

ZiXuan opened his eyes and as he got a focus, he was welcomed with her face and her soft voice, " Today, we'll be having a Japanese style lunch, come after you freshen up….."

"hm….."

After he freshened up, he was welcomed by a simple Japanese lunch; a fried salmon, miso soup with soft tofu, a simple veggie stir-fry, salad and rice with dried plum......well, it was very appetising.

By the time they were done with their lunch, it was already time to go out.

Meilin was ready since morning when he bought the suit she was wearing and ZiXuan didn't take much time as Meilin had prepared a off white suit with a black shirt for him.

Qins were involved in almost all kind of business and being the heir to this giant was not an easy thing, their whole afternoon and evening went to them visiting the different HQ of these places. Of course, the QMX building did have the offices for all of them but not everyone was allowed there so, many HQs have been set up for better functioning and in contrast to what one may think, the people at top of these places were headhunted by the CEO and his secretary themselves and had replaced a lot of those old geezers, they were young, had vitality, zeal to try and challenge new things, they were not perfect but were excellent in their field and as a matter of fact loyal so, it became a lot easier for the both of them to work with like-minded people.

The CEO was never needed to go to all these places by himself, he had mountain loads of work to do plus the number of plces he needed to visit was by no way small, but both ZiXuan and Meilin were people who wanted everything to be no less than perfect, the working of companies, their leadership, the workforce, everything should be judged by them for this, they put in extra hours of work for themselves to make time for such visits every other month.

They were unable to visit all of them but the kinds that needed to be evaluated most were covered by them.

Meilin was the best support out there, they couldn't split because that will make people question her like she was abusing her authority or something, but as long as she was there, the workload definitely lessened and hence became faster.

They decided to visit the rest of them by tomorrow or at worse the day after tomorrow.

The day was fulfilling but exhausting.

They still had to go back because they had some work left in the office and since, the morning they hadn't gone there.

When they reached there, they saw Secretary Qian Cheng standing, when he saw them, he lightly bowed.

Qin ZiXuan continued walking while Meilin who had a grasp of the man's schedule and knew that he was not supposed to be here by now stopped in front of him and asked, "Is there something that needs you to stay here?"

She was very straightforward....

Qian Cheng got rid of his awkwardness and stated, "Chairman Qin gave me a call this evening...."

Hearing up to this, Meilin's eyes twitched inadvertently...
