Chapter 226 - Morning Bliss

The morning table consists of healthy menus and recipes which mainly composed of pure vegetables. Even the drink which was laid on her side was murky and conspicuous. Looking at it, Su Ci Yi reminded of some tonic juices that her Senior Brother often gave to her.

The breakfast table comprises of Qin Fourong and Qin Ting on the other side while Qin Yu and Su Ci Yi on the other side. Qin Tao was still sleeping inside the room, and Qin Yu didn't wake him up.

As soon as her silhouette appeared in front of these people, their faces turn solemn and worried. Yesterday's incident scared the couple. They thought that their son would be a widower before he could even marry.

Qin Yu was specifically guiding Su Ci Yi on their table. When they arrived, he pulled the chair just for her to sit without exerting any effort. 

Once they were settled, Qin Fourong signaled to have their fill. Hence they all started to dig in. From time to time, Qin Yu would put veggies on her plate and fill her plate full. When she looked up to him she was given a blood-curling wink from the man.

She's not some weak patient that needed proper care!

Anyway, in the presence of the Qin couple, she didn't dare to throw her impious thoughts. She then gave the man the liberty to do what he wanted. It's not like she'll die being served.

Also, this feeling that had been disturbing her for quite some time is not that bad. It's the first time for her to have these kinds of emotions. " Sweetie, if you're still not feeling well please don't force yourself. Try to rest for a while inside your room. We specially renovated that room that will suit your taste. If you have something going on, don't hesitate to call us. After all, we are all going to be a family soon."

Qing Ting's motherly filial tone was heard. She looked at Su Ci Yi with sorrow and worried in her eyes. She didn't want her future daughter to be reserved in front of them. She wanted her to be someone open to her thoughts and would confide her worries to them without hesitation.

A surge of emotion touched Su Ci Yi, even her own mother, Su Gi wasn't like this. Its the first time having a mother who worries for her.

"Hmm. Well, if you're a little hesitant to call us. Just don't be reserved to call Xiao Yu, even if he's immersed in his work in the office. He'll make sure to make time for you. We don't want you to feel distant on your stay here."

Qin Fourong added to the statement of his wife.

" I am doing all right, father, and mother. I already took a whole night of rest and I'm fully recovered."

Su Ci Yi smiled and showed her vital energy to the couple. The couple showed a relief sign seeing her energetic stance.

"Mom, don't worry. I'm here. I gave the work temporarily to HuZao. I will fully dedicate my attention to her this time." Qin Yu coax his mother's mood.

Qin Ting raised an eyebrow to her son, "Hmph, so you finally thought at some point to give some attention to your family. If this had not happened, I'm really afraid that our YiYi will change her mind and cancel your marriage. "

Of course, Qin Yu wouldn't let this happen. Even if this whole set-up is a charade. He had made a lot of effort just to bring Su Ci Yi here, and he will not ruin this plan of his, " I won't let my future wife run away from me. Even if she does, I'll chase her to the bottom of the earth."

After the healthy breakfast, Su Ci Yi returned to her room for a change of clothes.

"What did you do?" Su Ci Yi asked. He won't be brutal to a woman like Mai, isn't he?

"You don't need to worry. She'll be alive no matter what."

A foreboding doubt appeared in her chest.

Su Ci Yi didn't dawdle on the thought. That Mai deserved what she was doing right now. Who said to act friendly and familiar with her and even drag her to the forest? They were even not that close enough to act on friendly terms with her.

Su Ci Yi sighed. Then she rummaged some clothes from the carnation closet. Pulling on a simple design, a v-neck shirt, she started to pull out her clothes to change.

Before doing so, she looked up to the person on the sideline, of whom without any intention to go out. 

"I'm going to change." Su Ci Yi spoke in a stern voice.

As if he didn't know what she meant, Qin Yu grinned that almost reach his ear.

"Go on."

"I said I'm going to change." Su Ci Yi repeated with reiteration.

"I said go on." The man was still mischievous.

Su Ci Yi bit her upper lip. Out of her fury, she threw a rectangular pillow unto the man and glared at him. Qin Yu dodge and reach for the door. In doing so, he's still composed, but his lips perked up in amus.e.m.e.nt. Then he hastily closed the door, teasing her,

"Have a safe undressing."

Two angry nerves popped on Su Ci Yi's forehead. This man was getting more and more shameless each day!
