Chapter 228 - The Second Disciple

The night on the Island was especially peaceful. There's no nightlife in this place compared to the city. If people wanted to pursue, they could still, but one needed to ride a one-hour vehicle transport to the resort. There, the night was live and beaming.

However, no matter how boring life here, Su Ci Yi specifically wanted this kind of life, just like the same with the living status from her past life.

A little while, Mei went out of welcome her. Fully heard the dark and cursing side of her daughter, she hit her head and nag at her.

Mei slapped her head again.

Mai retorted back.

This pair of mother and daughter is really a spectacle to watch.

As she was idling outside the house, Mei had already thrown a towel and change of clothes on her position then she shouted, " Take a bath quickly, or your dinner will be cold!"

Mai didn't dawdle. As soon as she heard the dinner, she ran fast to the detached bathhouse at the back of their house. Unlike the rich lady Qin, Mai's abode was just simple but presentable. 

It took a whole half an hour before going out of the bath being fresh and cool. Her fatigue in doing farming, the whole hectare of a flower field, had gone in an instant. Thinking what kind of dinner her mother had made, her stomach gargled in a noisy tone.

"Yo! You seem living happily nowadays?"

From the shadowy corner, a familiar voice spoke. Although Mai had forgotten who the voice belongs but when she saw her come out of the bushes, her eyes widen,

" Lady... "

She muttered. The fighting stance on that night was still vivid in her mind.

Although she didn't make a big deal about it because she knew, even if she did everyone would think that she had become a madwoman after that night.

Mai looked with vigilance towards Su Ci Yi, her foot turned a little jelly at the moment,

Su Ci Yi looked at her nonchalantly then she opened her mouth and spoke, "Now, I wanted to stroll around. Remembering that you almost knew every twist and turn of this place, come and follow me."

"EH? It's already night?" It's already dark. Where the heck would she go?

Su Ci Yi thought of something. Then she strode over and knock on the door.

Mei was the one who opened it and was surprised to see her.

"Can I borrow Mai first, I want her to stay overnight inside the house, can you allow her aunt?"

Mei didn't have something against her and gave her approval. She only glared at her daughter, a glare that says that if she didn't behave, there will be no meals for her! This is her time to redeem herself, ah!

With that Mei gave her blessing and closed the door.

Su Ci Yi grabbed the woman on the collar and jump over the window. Mai screamed at the top of her lungs, however when she screamed no sound came out.

Su Ci Yi had long put a silencer spell on her mouth. 

If she didn't so, she would create a commotion in the neighborhood.

"Where are we going?" Though Mai had been silenced with a spell, Su Ci Yi could still comprehend her thoughts.

" Accompany me to some random walks."

They arrived at the opposite end of the cliff where the waves were especially loud and the blaring splashing sound can be heard as the water hit the large rock boulders below.

"Are you going to kill me?!"

As soon as she thought of that, Mai 's body shivered. The Qin's future in law is a terrible demon! The one that kidnaps women at night!

"I am not a demon." Su Ci Yi reiterates.

But as soon as she heard that, Su Ci Yi's silhouette disappeared in front of her. Like a vanishing magic trick just in front of Mai's eye!

With that sense, Mai roughly plopped on the ground, eyes rimmed in tears, and shouted to her, "Wuwuwu, please, this person begs mercy! Don't kill me ah!"

Su Ci Yi stopped in midair.

Mai's shout was terrible to the ear.

"Ah, ah, ah, if you kill me I'll haunt your spirit and never let you go! I'll drag you down until my lingerings won't settle!"

Su Ci Yi was dumbfounded. She didn't bring that woman to kill her, in fact, she brought her over with the intention to make her second disciple!
