Chapter 255 - Turning The Table

It was night. There wasn't any moon that hung above the dark sky. Even the stars seemed to boycott since their mother moon isn't showing up. There was a trace of thick c.u.mulus clouds and the cold breeze on the air, indicating that anytime soon, within the night, a foreboding rain might suddenly pour.

Walking all alone in the night, with the only flashlight brought on her hands, the sound of agile footsteps were keen and loud echoing in the surrounding. Su Ci Yi isn't afraid in the slightest that she may provoke any known entity with the sounds she's making.

The woman hadn't had thought about Lia's plan that night. Or even doubted the abrupt delivery of costumes tonight. She didn't bother thinking of the grudges the woman had, and her mischievous trap lay ahead.

Being a mortal person (Lia), Su Ci Yi didn't raise her guard at all. A mere mortal might be petty and decisive, but Su Ci Yi didn't need to guard her back against her.

Maybe if she's competing against Baronette, then she will definitely do so.

With a *clack sound, by the sound of the footsteps, and the night sparrow's ugly squeaking, it sure was an eerie night.

But when Su Ci Yi came into the meeting place, just behind the gate, the entire place was serene. It took her a few hours of waiting, yet there wasn't still any movement of a living person nearby. 

Su Ci Yi isn't someone that would wait for a long hours after the stipulated time had passed. When she thought that no one would come, Su Ci Yi turned back and would have to return. 

Just when she thought no one would come, a bunch of silly looking guys went to her way. Their footsteps were swaying while swinging a big hammer in their hands. She's not sure where they came but one thing which made Su Ci Yi gasp: Man! They were really tall! They towered her at most with 7 feet and an inch high.

"Hehehe little lady, we are just passing by. Are you alone? Come, this good samaritan will lead you back."

When they smile, there were only two yellow frontal teeth that were hanging on their mouth. Even the breath that comes from it had a very foul odor. Su Ci Yi who was sensitive to it was pessimistic of them.

She didn't even think of their motive and immediately decline at that time.

"No, I can go back home, alone."

Those men insisted.

" Oh, come one. I'm sure it won't really hurt just to have an honest and handsome man like us escort a beautiful lady like you are."

Su Ci Yi heard the flatterer. But her eyes become sharp and her face twitched ugly. 

"I dare to disagree with you."

"What? You don't want to be called beautiful."

Su Ci Yi snickered, " Er.. that is already a matter of fact, but there was a comparable conjecture that I disagree wholly."

"What is it?"

"I don't quite comprehend the definition of your true beauty in men."

Those men were speechless.

"Erm, lady..."

"If your not busy then I'm busy. Goodbye."

Then Su Ci Yi leaped and jumped up on the high tiled roof of the residence.

In this, it will be easier to return and track the main base where they were staying.

She didn't even look back just to see the petrified looked below her and the dropped chin of the two men who could only look up with disappointment since they couldn't do anymore what they had intended to do.

She didn't care at all.

When they come back, Lia was surprised that she arrived earlier than she expected. And without any blemishes of wounds and traces of terror on her face. She was disappointed that she's still intact in one piece.

"Are you really sure that no one came there? How can I know that you really went to the main gate and waited for the delivery? What will our artist's use now that you were not able to pick it?" Lia raised her voice in order just to get some attention beside her. Sure enough, some crews behind her, perked their ears up.

" If you are not so sure, why don't you go there and investigate. You'll find traces of my footprints there. I specially left it there for you to know. You should go now, or else by tomorrow, it'll all disappear."

Lia's eyes bulge! Her plan didn't work out at all!

" How can you answer your manager like that?!"

"I beg your pardon. But you don't look like one. A responsible and alert manager wouldn't have a problem in the delivery of clothes and won't scamper on the last minute of the preparation just because she hasn't been able to prepare everything at all beforehand." Su Ci Yi explained with a bit of emphasis on her words. After all, her only concern is her artist Ling Mo and so far, she didn't fall short in the preparation of his things needed on the set. She didn't know where Lia would use the costumes that she had demanded earlier. She didn't ask her at all.

Those eavesdroppers nodded: Right. Right. It's her responsibility.

"Dad, can I go to master?"

Qin Tao asked as soon as they arrived. Temporarily, they infiltrated the set on the disguised as an honorable guest who wanted to see the whole scenario and tapping. Qin Yu had already instructed the Director not to make a fuss, and their presence should not be noticed.

The Director already abided. The guest was the major investor of the drama and he didn't want to offend him. He just wanted to make sure that the stay of the father and son would be comfortable and luxurious in this set and no major conflicts to encounter along the way.

"Did you miss her so much?"

"Yes! I haven't seen her at all! I miss her!" Qin Tao exclaimed. His big doe eyes glimmered and his expression lively.

"Just a bit more. We just came here. Let's settle first, okay?"

"All right!"

Qin Tao wasn't that unreasonable at all. Whatever his father instructed, he obediently abided. In these five years. He cultivated his mind and body. He had already grown up and nothing like that unreasonable child back then.

He wanted to show this kind of change to his master. He's so sure, she'll praise him up and will be glad of his current change.
