Chapter 125: Fate Memory!

Draco and Co. were led to their room as the receptionist took them to a teleportation pod that got them on a long hall with dark carpets, which they followed until they reached Super VIP Room 69.

The room was quite large, with a large glass window that allowed them to view the wide circular Auction with the auctioneer being situated in the middle.

The room as well as the entire auction were well equipped with technological gadgets that made sure every guest could see, hear, and be heard without any problems.

Once the receptionist led the group to the room, he told them that if they needed anything, they only had to ask, and somebody stationed outside would reply. After that, he told them that there were 3 hours remaining for the auction to begin and went out of the room.

Draco sat on a table that was close to the window and looked down to see the many beings of all races filling the auction little by little, and then looked up to see 2 rooms above him that were the Super VIP Rooms 1 & 2.

The two rooms as well as all the other Super VIP Rooms' windows were hidden by something impenetrable, and one could see nothing but a holographic image with their number on it.

"Full Privacy, Huh?" Draco said with a slight smile.

Alexander and his wives sat on the table and were leisurely talking and taking their time.

Draco looked at this and thought to himself.

'Had you not been too held back by your wives, you wouldn't just be here today. But then again, it could have been worse.'

He then looked out of the window.

'When I just got here, I first thought about finding food and shelter, not knowing the reality of this world yet. When I lost my arm to the goblin, I thought I would die, only realising the dangers around me. When I killed the slimes, I felt powerful, finally getting a feel of the heights I could reach.' Draco thought back to his first day here.

"If that is my fate, then I shall comply, Truth." Draco's mouth spoke by itself, as he knew this was probably a memory of when Fate got imprisoned.

"Why did you do it, Fate? You know far too well that interfering with the world is forbidden, more than all of us." Draco looked to his right to see another masked figure, however, this one was made out of sakura leaves.

"It had to be done, Life. When the fate of the world is at risk, we as its overseers need to protect it." Fate replied.

"Protecting was never our job, Fate. All we ever have to do is make use of the growing talents and benefit of their achievements to reach higher ranks." A celestial that was made out of darkness and white spots like a starry night spoke.

"Night, we hold different beliefs. If you grew up to hate this world, then I grew up to love it, and I shall do whatever I can to make sure it never meets an unsightly end at the hands of evil such as yours." Fate replied as calmly as he could.

"Tsk." Night clicked his tongue, as he didn't want to reply to Fate.

Golden Chains appeared out of nowhere to hold Fate from his hands, feet, and body.

The others watched in regret as one of the few celestials that actually cared about their world was chained... Once more.

A swirl of darkness and heart shaking laughter that would put fear in the bravest of souls resounded.

"THESE BASTARDS!" Truth screamed at the top of his lungs, as he knew he couldn't do anything to stop what was going on. His goofy nature from when he analyzed Draco was nothing but a facade he put up to forget about the blades that were above their heads.

"Calm down, my friend. I leave everything to you. May you ascend to reach what we failed to." With a smile that Truth could feel but not see, the darkness swallowed Celestial of Fate... his own Fate approaching its end.
