After a serious round of applause, the audience was forced to calm down by the auctioneer, who raised his hand and then moved on to state the price of the Divine Pardon.
"This Divine Pardon will start at 250 million, and one can only bid 10 million at once." The auctioneer said this, knowing full well the importance of the Divine Pardon.
"Please note that there is only a single Dinve Pardon." He added with a mysterious wink that meant war more than what it showed.
This was basically a message to those who knew the auction well that there wasn't only a single Divine Pardon, but only one would be auctioned; thus, to gain the others, they would have to join the banquet held after the auction.
"Alright, everyone. We shall start in 3, 2, 1, Go!"
"300 million!" The first bid was already $50 million higher than the floor price, just to show the importance of the Divine Pardon for the audience compared to the crystals.
The crystals were only there to speed up their leave; this one was able to get them out of here the second they had it in their hands.
The question remained: Would the Super VIPs give the regular audience a chance at getting out of this hell hole, or would they be stingy and not care?
To follow, all one had to do was follow the auction all the way to the end.
"340 million!"
"380 million!"
"400 million!"
"And now, we introduce our finest item of the day! Look and behold, dear guests, as we've got an Origin Emperor-Level technique you won't find anywhere else but in our auction. The bidding starts at 100 billion, and one can only bid 10 billion at once." The auctioneer was clearly excited at how high this item would go.
Immediately after the auctioneer announced the 25th item of the day, the regular audience sat on their seats, not even thinking of joining the auction and only planning on watching the show.
It was an item that started at 100 billion; only the VIP and Super VIP guests could participate, and the final bid was going to be either phenomenal or by one of the Top 3 Super VIPs, making it impossible for the other guests to think of getting the item anymore as long as they didn't want to risk having enemies behind their back far stronger than any Filthy this hell could pop out.
The item was slowly revealed, and as the familiar chest was opened up, a white book held floating by golden chains and surrounded by a sinister dark aura floated upwards, drowning the room in an oppressive feeling that made the regular guests buckle up and for the auction to turn on its defensive measures so nobody gets hurt.
This spectacle didn't make people fear for their lives, but the opposite; it made them want to take this technique no matter the price, however, their lives were more important than this technique, no matter how enticing it was.
"Very well, dear guest, you can start the bidding!" the second the auctioneer said.
A Super VIP room that was silent up until now was bid a ridiculous price just to shut up most of the incapable fellows and battle it up fairly with those that were actually able to buy it.
"Super VIP 1, 5 Trillion!" From 100 billion, the Super VIP room rose the price all the way to 50 times the floor price, forcing most of the VIPs to leave as they knew they couldn't battle it out with the truly rich.
Unlike the first time the Super VIP room 3 entered the show, this time the beastmen allowed anybody able to compete with them to join; they weren't lacking in money nor in Origin Emepror-Level techniques, but it wouldn't be bad to add another one to it, not to mention this one looked worthy of snatching.
While all of this happened in the background, Draco was with Zero, seriously thinking of all the possibilities.
As for this book to appear here and now, it definitely was no coincidence.
