The team of Gomen were not phased by the majestic air the castle gave them, the way they walked and their demeanor were completely nonchalant. The guards, who were getting nervous by the second as they walked towards the king, were surprised and also annoyed by the way the Gomen were acting.
"Well, isn't this quite a beautiful castle, Well, our altar is much better." A goman who was walking to the far right side of the leader commented, gazing all around the large blue and white hall they were walking through to reach the king.
"Are you seriously comparing a castle to the lord's altar?" The goman who was on the other side berated the goman who first commented.
"Be quiet; you are going to meet the king of an entire race. Show some respect." The goman next to the leader from the right said.
"He's right; you may act however you want, but at least show some respect." The leader added.
"Aye aye." And the team went silent for the remainder of the path to the throne room.
The guards were looking at them with their side eyes all throughout the way, annoyed at their earlier remarks and their nonchalant actions, and also fearing that they might do something they would be held accountable for.
Suddenly, one of the guards just concentrated in front of him.
'Why bother worrying about ourselves when these guys can just destroy the entire kingdom?' he thought to himself.
A few minutes later, they were right in front of the gate to the throne room.
The gates opened and the team entered.
The first thing they noticed was the grandeur of the room; there were four white pillars, two on each side, separated by quite a distance. On the far end of the room was the throne of the king, and he was sitting on it.
The guards were left behind, looking at the group until they were out of view before they went back to their original place, returning to continue their duty.
From this point onward, the gomen went into full duty mode; they had one goal, which was to form relations with the underwater world and that was it; thus, they went all out.
When it came to politics, it was all about the gives and takes—what can the surface dwellers have and can give that those underwater don't have and need?
The discussion was a full-blown battle between the 4 gomen and the king and his advisors.
In the end, they managed to shake hands peacefully. What drove the Oceanus kingdom to come to this decision was the strength of the team that was sent to negotiate with them. They could act as tough as they wanted, but every single one of those here could wipe the entire kingdom from the ground in a matter of seconds and the king wouldn't even be able to hold him back.
However, this didn't stop them from benefiting as much as they could, they managed to gain all kinds of goods from all continents in exchange for the Celestial Towers to be put inside their kingdom.
At first, the king was hesitating, but upon hearing that the tower was the key he and his entire lineage had been searching for, he couldn't refuse. The path forward, the path above the origin emperor realm, was right in front of him. The gloomy and cold atmosphere that the advisors could remember around the king for as long as he ascended the crown was washed away, for once.
This was a glorious day for the Oceanus Kingdom. After shaking hands, the king invited the gomen team to a celebration that was going to be held, and the gomen who had other plans for coming here immediately accepted.
It turned out that the way the fishmen celebrated was by holding a tournament. Hearing this, the gomen were overjoyed; this was what they were looking for.
Thus, this day, 21 years after Draco entered the tower and 4 years before his ascension, the world recorded another milestone in its history, the globalization of Portalia.
In no more than 30 years, Draco had managed to connect every part of Portalia together.
