It has been almost week since Palkus was in Emily's house. That day, he ended up spending the night in their house and the next morning, Emily came to his room to wake him up and from there, they left for their trip to Saint city.
"Ah, I really don't feel like coming back." Palkus said, looking behind him from the luxurious carriage's window.
"You're right..." Emily looked kind of down as she replied, starting tomorrow, her work will start once again.
"Well, at least it was a fun trip." Palkus took his head out of the window and looked at his girlfriend with a smile.
"Mhm." Emily nodded.
Their trip to Saint city had nothing special in it, but for them, it meant the world. They spent so much time together, not leaving each other's side from morning till night.
Palkus was still not planning on taking the relationship forward at the moment so they rented a house but each one slept in a room.
As soon as they woke up, they went to get their breakfast in a small restaurant close by and after that, they traversed the large city of the World Tree.
Indeed, Saint city was the city where the world tree alongside the tower of the Celestial Academy stood. The area encompassed by it was huge, and as much as the couple wanted to, they only had so much time to visit a couple places they heard about from their friends or while passing.
Still, they didn't regret coming and even planned on coming here later on their honeymoon.
The relationship between the two became more solid than before, and now they were more comfortable with each other, to the point where, to an outsider, they looked like a pair of best friends or childhood friends who were in love with each other.
The two had an amazing relationship. Their synergy surprised even them, as they found so many things in common and, out of nowhere, felt themselves falling further and further in love with each other as if they had spent most of their lives together, when in fact, it hasn't been much since they got together.
Even Palkus, who was at first only attracted by Emily's appearance, started to notice other things, while Emily, who liked Palkus for his amazing feats, his handsomness, mysterious background, and power, felt like she had won the jackpot as he turned out to be better than she hoped.
Palkus also came to know that his girlfriend wasn't as simple as she seemed. Though he didn't know much yet, he could feel that she was stronger than even the guys from the 'Thunder Strike' party.
He didn't want to dig further into her background at the moment, so he remained silent.
"Ye did it once again, King." Elder Danoris moved towards the blacksmith king with a wide smile.
"Danoris, My friend!" Only seeing his friend now, the two dapped their hands together, making a loud noise that made the entire forge vibrate.
"I see ya didn't rust." The blacksmith king commented with a huge smile, still clenching his friend's hand.
"I'm still not planning on giving up that title." Danoris replied, returning the smile. Then he stopped and looked behind him.
"Unfortunately, I can't do that anymore." He said, his eyes staring at Palkus, who was also smiling in excitement unconsciously.
"Oh?" The blacksmith king seized Palkus up and then let go of his friend before he approached Palkus.
"Is this the lad who wants to take my title." He asked.
"It's me." Palkus nodded, looking at the menacing figure approaching him.
"Do ya haff 'nything to do with that Anomaly lad?" The king asked.
"The anomaly?" Palkus titled his head in confusion.
'Does he mean my master? Or...'
"Oh! No, no. I have nothing to do with him. I've never even seen him?" Palkus shook his head.
"I see... Well of course ya have nothing to do with him." Standing in front of Palkus, the blacksmith king gazed right into the young man's eyes while saying.
"The test starts now!" He shouted while his right hand came rushing at Palkus.
"Huh?"
