Chapter 24
When Kong Mingze heard Wei Shixu's voice, he was so happy that he stood up and forgot about the pain he was in. He was about to rush over but suddenly thought of something and turned back.
He pulled Zhuge Ying and whispered, "Shh! Don't tell anyone what I just said!"
Zhuge Ying held up a finger to her lips, "I got it!"
The two now had a little secret between them.
Kong Mingze looked proud, "The class monitor really knows what he's doing."
Zhuge Ying smiled. Seeing the crowd of people up ahead, she completely relaxed and walked over with him.
Around the corner were all kinds of people - doctors, police officers, bodyguards.
As the two of them walked over, Wei Shixu was surrounded as a doctor dressed his wounds.
Kong Mingze was shocked, "Wei Shixu, you're so injured?! Who did this?!"
Even Zhuge Ying's face was full of horror. She wasn't hurt, Kong Mingze only got hit a few times, but Wei Shixu's injuries looked terrifying.
Nearby, Quan Zhisui, covered in blood but full of energy, was dragging two severely injured people along, one with broken ribs and another with a bloody head.
Zhuge Ying had been very worried about Quan Zhisui, after all she had fought a group of thugs barehanded while they had weapons.
But now Zhuge Ying was dumbfounded. She looked at Quan Zhisui, then at the two men on the ground, and didn't know who to worry about for a moment.
The doctor had been brought by the bodyguards. He didn't care about the men on the ground at all, and after treating Wei Shixu's wounds, he rushed over to check on Kong Mingze.
The men on the ground were about to pass out. They had to wait a long time for stretchers to carry them away, with police following close behind onto the ambulance.
They needed treatment yes, but after that it was off to jail!
Quan Zhisui had been worried she might have used excessive force in self-defense, but all the adults present praised her as a hero.
Quan Zhisui and the others were soon sent to the hospital. Two students were injured and needed their wounds cleaned again even after first aid. The other two uninjured still needed to be examined and have their wounds documented.
This was a serious, large-scale brawl!
In the rush of things, they didn't even get to eat hot pot.
At the hospital, Kong Mingze and Zhuge Ying's parents arrived quickly, all four deeply frightened.
Wei Shixu and Quan Zhisui didn't call their parents. But Wei Shixu now had an extra circle of bodyguards, with several more cars pulling up and dozens of bodyguards on standby - quite a spectacular scene. Geett the latest novels at novelhall.com
Quan Zhisui was alone the entire time.
When it was her turn to be examined, the doctor diagnosed her with muscle damage.
This was actually from flipping the table yesterday. The fight after school just made her existing pulled muscle a bit worse.
To Quan Zhisui this was no big deal. Injuries were inevitable when practicing martial arts.
Quan Zhisui nodded, "Yeah, there's still one person I haven't hit yet. I need to get back and punch him."
Zuo Zichen.
She hadn't been seeing things earlier. It was Zuo Zichen in that alley.
Why was Zuo Zichen there? What was he running from? His footsteps were so chaotic, clearly afraid of something.
Wei Shixu laughed at her words, "Got a taste for fighting now?"
Quan Zhisui closed her eyes and leaned back, "Let's not talk. I'll conserve my energy and rest a bit."
Wei Shixu also went silent for the rest of the ride.
If you don't want to eat, then don't eat...
The night lights of Liangxi City were dazzling and colorful. The streetlamps poured flickering light onto their faces as the car moved.
She had very long lashes, delicate features, and good looks overall. But her eyebrows were bold and heroic, her facial contours distinct.
Her appearance was as domineering as her personality.
One look and you knew not to mess with her.
Wei Shixu stared at her for a long time, until his heart started pounding forcefully once more.
Suddenly in the quiet he asked, "If I were kidnapped someday, would you come rescue me?"
Quan Zhisui opened her eyes, completely bewildered, "Wasn't the person who rescued you this afternoon me?"
A ghost or something?
Why ask such an obvious question?
Wei Shixu said, "I mean, if I were in danger, all my bodyguards gone, even kidnapped to another city, would you come save me?"
Quan Zhisui looked at him strangely, "Why are you asking the exact same question twice?"
Anyway she wouldn't foolishly answer twice.
Wei Shixu smiled again.
So to her, saving was just saving. No matter the circumstances, no matter where he was, she would come save him.
Just like today.
Wei Shixu's expression at that moment was inexplicably gentle, his smile warm like the lamplight outside.
Quan Zhisui looked into his eyes, "You look quite nice when smiling like this."
She didn't know why he always wore such gloomy looks usually.
