Chapter 1997 I’m Laughing At Your Naivety! (3)

“Open the array and let us in!”

The leader among them had a proud expression and shouted at the snakemen residents of the city as if giving them orders.

They were mostly heaven-stage martial warriors and were from the Stellar Academies, which gave them a sense of superiority on this planet.

In their eyes, the Scorpion King Star was just a mission planet, and the natives were like livestock enclosed in a pen.

They saw themselves as the masters.

In their perspective, would they humbly seek help from a lowly animal, even if they were in danger?

Clearly not. They would naturally expect the native inhabitants to assist them.

This attitude reflected the essence of human nature.

The queen had also appeared and watched the extraterrestrial humans from the city. She frowned at their arrogance.

These extraterrestrial humans were just like the others, continuing to see themselves as superior to the natives.

She shouldn’t trust the other extraterrestrial humans just because of Wang Teng.

They were different!

The other snakemen martial warriors displayed anger on their faces. They had very little tolerance for extraterrestrial humans other than Wang Teng.

If these extraterrestrial humans had approached them with politeness and respect, the situation might have been different.

However, now they were in a vulnerable position, asking for assistance, but they still carried themselves with a sense of superiority. This naturally irritated the snakemen.

“Outrageous! If you don’t open the array, we will destroy it!” Another heaven-stage martial warrior, infuriated by the snakemen’s attitude, shouted defiantly.

They believed their strength was substantial enough to break through the formation if the snakemen did not comply.

The snakemen queen’s expression changed slightly.

She could tell that most of these people had reached the heaven stage. If they insisted on breaking through the array, the defensive barrier might not hold up against their combined power.

The primary function of the formation was endurance, but it had a limited maximum capacity for withstanding external forces. If several heaven-stage martial warriors were to attack simultaneously, the resulting damage could potentially breach the formation within a short period.

However, their words and the disdainful attitude they displayed stirred the queen’s anger.

“Hmph!”

A cold snort escaped her lips, her expression turning icy, even a hint of murderous intent flickering as she stared at the extraterrestrial humans.

She didn’t understand.

They were all extraterrestrial humans. Why was the difference so huge?

If these extraterrestrial humans could treat them as equals, the situation might have been different, and they wouldn’t mind opening the array.

At that moment, Wang Teng arrived, flying alongside Marong, and overheard the remark.

He landed next to the queen, nodded to her, and then shifted his gaze towards the extraterrestrial humans.

“Huh?”

When he saw the faces of the people outside clearly, a hint of surprise crossed his eyes.

They had merely met before.

As Wang Teng arrived, it became apparent that those people also recognized him, as they all involuntarily paused for a moment.

“Wang Teng!”

The leader cried out in surprise.

This was the leader of Feng Mo’s team, Wan Dong, whom Wang Teng encountered on his way here.

Feng Mo was also in the crowd, staring at Wang Teng behind the array, appearing somewhat bewildered.

Boom!

But there was no time for further thoughts, as the nearby star beasts charged at them, leaving him in a state of disarray.

Swoosh!

The poisonous star beast’s claw cut across his shoulder, leaving a deep bloody gash with green-tinged blood splattering out.

The blood was bright red, but when it met the Force of a poison-element star beast, it immediately turned green.

Feng Mo’s expression changed. Despite his poison-element abilities, he found himself struggling against the various poisons within the poisonous tide.

He quickly raised the sword in his hand, scraping off the poisoned flesh, and then took out an antidote pill to suppress the proliferate of the poison.

After taking these measures, his complexion became even more unsightly.

Throughout this journey, Feng Mo encountered numerous poisonous star beasts, and the constant battles depleted his constellation Force. If it weren’t for the support of his antidote pills, he wouldn’t have made it this far.

Feng Mo was the weakest member of the team, and in comparison to the heaven-stage martial warriors, he was indeed quite feeble.

In normal circumstances, when they faced danger, the other team members would lend a helping hand, considering their shared teamwork. However, in this current situation, everyone was preoccupied with their survival, making it difficult for them to assist him.

Despite this, others had saved him twice during their journey, allowing him to survive until now.

But compared to the rest of the team, he was the most battered.

This contrasting situation between Feng Mo and Wang Teng was quite apparent. While Feng Mo struggled on the outside of the formation, Wang Teng remained unscathed inside. This contrast made Feng Mo feel somewhat inadequate.

The expressions of the snakemen queen and the others changed when they heard Wang Teng’s name.

Did they know each other?

The snakemen queen looked at Wang Teng vigilantly.

They had never trusted the extraterrestrial humans. Wang Teng was the first extraterrestrial human to gain their trust in all these years.

However, this trust seemed to waver slightly now.

Wang Teng, on the other hand, as if oblivious to the change in the queen’s and her subjects’ expressions, greeted Wan Dong with a cheerful smile. “Ah, isn’t this… someone I know?”

“Wang Teng, both of us are from the Stellar Academies. Let us in,” Wan Dong’s look shifted as he spoke in a determined tone.

“You’re my seniors so I should allowed you in. However, I’m in no situation to make such decisions. I’m just a guest here,” Wang Teng replied regretfully, shaking his head.
