On seeing Li Min return, Qian Meng felt a burst of joy. She extended her hand and took the packet from her. She peered inside, her lips widening into a Cheshire cat smile.
She peeled the protective layer from the roll of coins and let them sit in the plastic bag. Once done, she asked Li Min to come in.
"Take this packet to Mo Qingchen's office. Tell the receptionist I have informed Mr. Mo that I was sending him this." Without any expression, Li Min took the packet and strode out.
Qian Meng had already pulled out her phone.
[Mr. Mo, I have paid you back in full for the coffee. I don't like to remain in people's debt.]
She pressed send.

Mo Qingchen received her message and stared at his phone confused. She would be crazy to return a hundred yuan. She would be crazier to claim to do so and not send the money. He shook his head, unwilling to try and understand her, and went back to work.
About ten minutes later, his assistant came into his office with a worried look on his face.
"What is it?" he asked casually.
"Miss Yun has sent something to you," the assistant replied meekly.
"Did she send a bomb?" he asked, expecting the same from the fallen and terrified expression on their face.
"Sir, it is much worse." Gu Rong scrutinized her usually prickly boss and wondered if he would explode when he saw the gift. She pressed her hand to her stomach, silently thinking that this job was not suitable for a woman who was about to go into labor. She really didn't need the stress of Mr. Mo's private rivals coming after him.
"What is it?" He paused. "As long as it is not going to kill me, bring it in."
He really wanted to see what this woman had cooked up. Gu Rong wobbled away as fast as she could. Her face twisted as she looked at the plastic bag placed on her desk. She could clearly see the coins inside. She looked back towards her boss's office and sighed.
"Boss, you've made a petty enemy." She shook her head picked up the plastic bag with trepidation.
She knocked on his door and didn't wait for him to answer. Moving in, she placed the bag on his desk and scurried away.
"What the hell..." he grumbled when he looked up. A smirk appeared on his face as he poked the bag. "You really thought this through, didn't you?" he smirked.
He scattered the coins on his desk, making a pool of it, and clicked a picture.
[Miss Yun, you're trying to deceive me, right? This is one yuan and 2 fen short.]
He put his phone to the side and increased the alert volume to full. This was his daily dose of fun. He couldn't stop himself from getting these small pleasures, okay?
The reply came so fast that Mo Qingchen had to wonder if the silly girl had been staring at her screen all along.
[No way!]
Before he could reply, her call came in.
"Miss Yun, did you miss me?" he teased. He heard her scoff.
"There is definitely the correct amount of money given to you," she argued. He liked her being petulant. When he knew her as a little girl, she would always act so mature that he found it irritating. Now that she had grown up, she was finally showing that side of her that screamed 'Love Me'.
"Don't worry, I counted it. I am sure you are one yuan and two fen short." Such confidence.
"Excuse me, I counted before sending it!"
"Then someone must have taken a few coins out. Or it fell out." Qian Meng groaned.
"Have you thought about writing comedies before? I think it would suit you very well." He took it as a compliment.
"Well, you suit the role of the second female lead who goes crazy after the male lead slights her. I wouldn't mind writing a romantic comedy featuring you."
She held back her scream and took in a cleansing breath. "Don't you know? Writing about the second female lead, the villainess as the main character is the trend now?" Beat that.
"It seems Miss Yun spends her free time reading trash literature."
'And who are you to judge?' She pouted.
"Count the coins in front of me. I know you didn't count it!" she defended. Mo Qingchen's smirk fell and he stared at the pile in front of him. The only way was to evade this topic.
"Okay, come over to my office. I'll count it in front of you." This technique was masterful. Knowing Yun Qian Meng, she would never step into the enemy's territory without a battle plan. Throwing a curveball at her was the best strategy to dissuade her.
Qian Meng became unusually quiet.
'Mr. Mo, do you think I don't understand what you are up to?'
She hung up the phone. Mo Qingchen, who sat in his office, burst out into laughter at this victory. He hadn't thought it would be so easy. Before he could gloat, his phone rang again. This time, Yun Qian Meng had video-called him.
His smile dropped and he picked up the call.
"You are the CEO of a technology company that boasts of disrupting the industry and making leaps in technology. Surely, you know that I can see you counting without walking across the street."
"It's good to walk. How are you different if you only eat and sit in front of your computer?"
The underlying meaning was that she was lazy. Eating and sitting? He meant to say she was a pig. 'At least, I can be cooked into good food. I wouldn't even eat your liver if someone offered me a billion dollars.'
"It's called using technology to make one's time more effective. Trust in technology, Mo Qingchen." She gave him a saccharine smile. "Now, turn the phone to the coins and start counting. Actually, prop the phone up against your laptop and let me see you count. Wouldn't want you to cheat."
She just wanted to see the frustration in his eyes.
Sweet, sweet revenge.
