To be frank, Qiao Mao’s stealthy assassination of the Qin Family Martial Artist had left Qin Zhiri reeling with shock. When had Martial Sun City acquired such a formidable archer? For safety’s sake, he had opted to bide his time in a hidden spot, waiting for the right moment to act.

Yet, upon discovering the identity of the assailant, Qin Zhiri’s shock swiftly morphed into a seething rage. He could hardly believe that the one who had taken out the Qin Family Martial Artist was the normally feeble Qiao Mao.

Surveying the six bodies strewn on the ground, Qin Zhiri was overcome with grief. These Guard Captains were the Qin family’s carefully cultivated backbone, and now all had fallen to Qiao Mao.

Moreover, Qiao Mao had slain his son.

Qin Zhiri’s face contorted as he erupted with the power of Mortality Transcending Level Seven Heaven, his entire being as ferocious as a wild beast.

“Mao, you can’t defeat him. Get out of here quickly,” Zhen Gui cried out in desperation.

Zhen Gui had been prepared to embrace death, yet she never anticipated her son would actually show up and eliminate several of the Qin family’s elite.

But the might Qin Zhiri unleashed was overwhelming. Even with Zhen Gui’s Mortality Transcending Level Six Heaven prowess, she wouldn’t last a single exchange with him.

“Mother, don’t worry. Today, you’ll witness how I slay our foes and exact your revenge,” Qiao Mao declared, fearlessly. His gaze was resolute as he grasped the Profound Iron Bow and took his stand at the center.

Zhen Gui watched as Qiao Mao stood his ground, unyielding. Despite his slender frame, he was as steadfast as Mount Tai. She was profoundly moved, thinking, “Perhaps he truly can defeat Qin Zhiri.”

As this notion took hold in Zhen Gui’s mind, Qiao Mao burst into action. Like lightning, he lunged at the two Mortality Transcending Level Six Heaven masters.

Though Qiao Mao’s current level was merely Mortality Transcending Level Four Heaven, his past life’s combat experience gave him the confidence to contend with Qin Zhiri. However, with Zhen Gui present, he couldn’t afford to gamble recklessly.

Only by utterly vanquishing these two Mortality Transcending Level Six Heaven masters could he eliminate any future threats. Then, when he clashed with Qin Zhiri, he wouldn’t have to be concerned about anyone targeting Zhen Gui.

“Your archery skills are unmatched, but they’re futile against me,” Qin Zhiri boasted, swatting away the Spiritual Energy Arrow with a wave of his hand.

Qiao Mao’s brow furrowed in disappointment, but he quickly realized the challenge of taking down a Martial Dao Great Master of Mortality Transcending Level Seven Heaven wouldn’t be simple.

“Then face the might of my Army Breaking Arrow,” Qiao Mao said, no longer hesitating. He channeled the power of the Army Breaking Arrow, causing the once-steady Spiritual Energy Arrow to quiver with intensity.

Empowered by the Army Breaking Arrow, the Spiritual Energy Arrow thrashed like a caged tiger desperate for freedom.

With Qiao Mao’s release, the arrow burst forth, the air crackling in its wake, piercing through at a velocity five times its original speed.

The arrow’s killing intent was palpable. Even Qin Zhiri, a Martial Dao Great Master of Mortality Transcending Level Seven Heaven, felt an ominous shiver, sensing that danger was imminent.

Qin Zhiri mounted a hasty defense, but when the Spiritual Energy Arrow detonated, his right arm was still wounded. Blood streamed down, dripping onto the earth below.

“How can his archery be so formidable?” Qin Zhiri thought in alarm. Had his defense not been timely, his right arm might have been completely shattered. A sense of dread filled him as he resolved, “If I don’t kill Qiao Mao today, he will become a relentless threat to me in the future.”

“I will kill you!” Qin Zhiri bellowed, summoning his full power for the assault. Qiao Mao, taking no chances, wielded the Profound Iron Bow as his weapon, engaging Qin Zhiri in combat.

Despite Qin Zhiri’s overwhelming strength, Qiao Mao found it challenging to keep up. Yet, to Qin Zhiri’s growing astonishment, he could not swiftly dispatch a cultivator of Mortality Transcending Level Four Heaven.

Furthermore, Qin Zhiri suddenly realized that Qiao Mao’s combat experience had far exceeded his own. No matter how he attempted to strike down Qiao Mao, Qiao Mao seemed to effortlessly neutralize every attack.

“Could he possibly be an Old Monster who has lived for eons?” Qin Zhiri thought, startled. He quickly shook his head, dismissing the notion, and resolved firmly, “Regardless, he must die by my hand today.”
