Zou Yue silently followed Fan Xui out the plane, even near the luggage conveyor belt he stood silently next to him waiting to help pick his luggage out. "You can tell me the colour of your luggage," he whispered to him.
The taller man glanced down and hesitantly shook his head. "I—I..." he didn't finish himself before walking away.
Zou duffel bag tightly to his back and awkwardly followed after him. "You don't have any check in luggage, do you?"
"No, I only have carry-on," he gestured to the small laptop bag in his hand.
Zou slightly frowned. 'Do business men travel so light? He probably doesn't even have a pair of spare in that little bag.'
As they were silently walking to the door, there was a loud scoff near the side.
"Brat knows to come back home," an old gruff voice grumbled loudly.
Eyes wide open, Zou glanced in that direction. "Baba.... mommy," he ran to them hesitantly. His mother immediately hugged his stiff body tightly.
"Oh, my baby has grown so much. Look at him, he is taller than my shoulders now," she cooed as she kissed his cheeks.
Zou's eyes started tearing up. His limp hand gently hugged her delicate body. "Mommy.... mommy," he nuzzled against the crook of her neck, smelling her familiar, comforting scent. "I miss you"
When they finally separated he noticed something very awkward. His tears had soaked though the shoulder of her dress leaving a small wet patch there. He gently wiped at it. "Sorry for running your dress, mommy,"
"My munchkin, I missed you, too. So did your baba, right?" she pulled the hesitantly old man from behind.
"Who said I missed this brat? All he knows is to cause trouble and..."
Zou Yue hugged him tight. "I missed you, baba. I missed you so much," he loudly cried. His hands tightened around his stiff body.
"y—you, why are you crying, huh? It's nothing worth crying about." he awkwardly patted his back.
Zou cried even more at this. In his last life he never understood his father's behaviour and associated all his rude talks with hatred. But if you analyse his talks a bit one could feel the underlying love. Right from the stiff back to the slight tremor in his voice, said that this old man missed him more than anything it the world.
He lifted his face and glanced at his wrinkling face. "Baba, have I told you I love you so much,"
The old man's eyes became wet a bit. "Now, stop crying. Look at you acting like a kid." He swiftly knocked his head and wiped Zou's cheeks roughly. "Zou mama, let's go before our son decides to cry a storm here." he gently held his wife's hand.
They lovingly could nudge their son towards the exit with a wide smirk on their faces.
Fan Xui, who was standing in the corner, saw all of this with a small sigh. He tapped his right pocket instinctively and took out his phone. "Siri, message Qian to drop by to my place,"
His car was waiting out there without any prior notice. He simply glared at it and hailed a taxi from nearby to his home.
The driver silently made a phone call to inform of Fan's actions.
"Let him be. One day or another, I will kill that blind bastard that my aunt left behind." The screechy vive said before the line went silent.
Slowly his car winded up to his home. His butler happily invited him in and helped settle him down. All the while Fan acted as if he was blind to everyone.
Soon his rowdy friend came in with a loud laugher accompanying him.
With his specks still on, he glanced at his childhood friends. He had grown tall and even had small stubble on his chin.
"oi, oi, Fan, why did you call me here so urgently. Do you know I had to throw all of my work to come all the way here," Qian grumbled pulling at his id card. "Come on, make it fast. Oh, your shadow is missing. Where did he go? I guess he most likely left to go potty." he chuckled naughtily.
"He is here." Fan gently opened his bag and pulled out an urn. "Can you help me find a place for him to rest?"
His friend had a slightly stunned look on his face. "This is a bad joke, my friend."
"it's not a joke. Hai Gu was killed by Bai Xiaolin," Fan blankly whispered. But his heart ached a lot just looking at the urn. Even at the final moment he was not there for him, which made him sadder than ever.
Qian sat silently with his head down. "H—how did this happen?"
"This.... it was one of Bai's traps. I should have knows something was wrong..... I should have...but by mistake I loaned my car to my assistant that day. They said that break wires were messed up and he rammed into a truck," Fan Xui dejectedly whispered, holding his aching head.
"Fuck that shit. I will find enough proof to send him into prison for all his life! That bastard's whole family is rotten to the core. How did Liwei even come from his family?" Qian grumbled as he pranced around anxiously.
"Liwei is adopted by the Bai family did you forget," Fan coldly whispered.
Unlike his friend, he was not fond of Liwei either. He appeared soft and kind on the outside, but he hid a treacherous heart inside. It was just his intuiting not to get close to him.
"Those Bai family might even kill you for your fortune," his friends silently whispered with an enraged look.
His family was quiet complicated, his parents passed away a long time ago in an accident. That was when he lost his sight as well. The car crash might seem like an accident but it was a well-planed murder done by none other than the Bai family.
Bai family was his mother's side family and that bastard Bai Xiaolin was his cousin who was only just a year older. Bai Liwei is their families adopted son who they cared for a lot.
Their family's status was quiet different. His father was just a small businessman when he met his mother and fell in love instantly. Since their social standings were different from his mother's family, the Bai's, apposed of their marriage. So his parents eloped and had a simple wedding. After marriage they started their own bio technology lab together with their limited resources from his mother.
But unexpectedly the business became huge in just a few years.
From then on, the Bai family's eyes had been trained on them. They came knocking on their door with a cordial smile. His kind father was happy that the family was finally willing to accept their marriage, but sadly he was only inviting a fox in the house.
Just a few years they became a huge shareholder of their company, almost changing all the control over to their hand.
Fan Xui frowned slightly. He took out a worn out pen drive from his bag and handed it to him. "Make sure all newspapers and police are aware of this,"
"What is this?" Qian confusedly whispered.
"Proof of tax evasion, illegal business and..... proof of murder,"
