Excited Zou Yue climbed down and ran over to the area it was leaking. With his hands cupped, he caught a handful. The water smelt very fresh with a small tinge of earthy scent to it. "It looks clean,"
"It tastes good as well. But you should get it tested with the water authority before drinking it," Bohai mumbled and climbed up.
Zou Yue still stood there thinking about what to do with this pond. His initial plan was to raise some edible carp but now that he knew of the existence of the natural spring, he had to change the plan. 'What can I raise here? Lotus for sure, but what else? If I add fishes they will make the water dirty....'
"Come on kid, we have a lot more ground to cover," Bohai shouted from above.
Zou Yue waded through the knee-length water and climbed up the ladder. "Uncle Bo, do you know of any kind of edible aquatic being that doesn't make the water dirty? I was planning on raising fishes but they made so much mess..."
"Then you can raise some fresh water shrimp along with the carp. They will clean out all the gunk after which you can clean out the water and make it drinkable. But you have to make sure that the fishes don't eat your shrimp or else you will end up with dirt water all over," he mumbled to himself. The person walking next to him was missing.
"Yue?"
He glanced back to see the young lad with a mystical smirk on his face. "What's with that face?"
"Huh? Sorry, I was just thinking about your idea. It could work very well. I just have to arrange some filtration tank and a small tank in which I can raise prawns. They will eat of all the gunk and after another level of filtration the water will be crystal clean and perfectly drinkable."
"Yeah, that could work. I can build a smaller tank near the flower patch, but I suggest you use a plastic ten gallons tank. It costs less,"
"Yes!!!" Zou Yue happily followed after him. "Uncle Bo you are so smart~"
The middle aged man blushed slightly. "Keep up, we have lot to see,"
They cruised through the rooms. All of them were painted a pleasant shade of yellow.
"Attic is the one with the most changes," Bohai whispered as he pulled down the stairwell to reach the attic. They both climbed up into a dark room.
"Wait a bit," Bohai fiddled with something and the light went on instantly. "The electrical are connected to a battery now. But after the solar sheets are connected, it will be fully operated with solar energy. I will make sure to connect it to a generator as well in case of emergencies."
Zou Yue carefully listed to hi but the sight in front of him shocked him. "This is awesome!!!"
The entire attic was completely restructured. Since he wanted to load a bunch of heavy stuff, he had asked Bohai to reinforce the flooring. Bohai had outdone himself by changing the whole flooring into iron boards.
"This can hold up to ten tones. Thankfully, this house was built so well with supporting beams everywhere otherwise it would have been impossible." Bohai mumbled as he stomped on the ground. "What are you going to store here?"
"I plan on importing some items," Yue vaguely answered his questions. If he had mentioned that he was going to store bags of rice, this man would think he was a lunatic.
Zou Yue glanced up. This attic initially had a slopping roof with tons of those brown slanted tiles plastered on it. He was not happy with it so he had requested for it to be changed to a cemented ceiling.
"This place is wonderful... but where are the solar sheets going to be installed,"
Bohai gestured to the corner of the room, which had a small staircase. "Up there,"
They both walked on top of the house. It did not even have a guarding rail around. Stunned, Zou Yue stopped at the edge of the stairwell.
"You scared?"
"It's too high...."
"Just come here." Bohai held out his hand and led him around. The solar sheets were already spread out. "I'll do the electrical you just take a look. If you don't understand anything, let me know. I'll teach you again,"
"hmm..."
Zou Yue carefully watched whatever he was doing and made sure to even write down everything.
"You could take a video for reference.." Bohai whispered.
"No, technology is not reliable."
Bohai's eyebrows twitched "says the kid who has a shit ton of technology installed in his house,"
Zou Yue grimaced. Bohai was actually talking about the motion sensors he had installed in every window of his house. This was to make sure that he gets notified if there were any intruders.
"I am just a paranoid person."
