Chapter 48 - 48 Searching For A Specialist

Zou Yue decided to call uncle Wen for help but his mother firmly rejected this idea.

"Yue, you have to go in person. When you need someone's help, you have to be courteous."

"But...." Zou Yue hesitated a bit. 'I don't want to see that poisonous white lotus...' he pouted.

"Why don't I accompany you?" his father added from the side.

"No! I will go on my own." Zou Yue immediately shot down this idea.

Going alone is much better than exposing his parents to an unknown danger called Bai Liwei.

His father sighed loudly.

"Come, I'll drive you,"

"No, I will call a cab," Zou Yue denied that idea instantly as well.

His father's frown deepened. "What are you hiding? Yue perhaps..." he moved closer and whispered, "does I have something to do with your death.."

Zou Yue looked up in shock. His father's eyes were dark. There was a furious storm brewing inside. He gulped. "N—nothing at all. I just don't want you to strain yourself. I will talk to uncle Wen myself,"

He swiftly called up a cab in fear his father might take out the car.. Uncle's Wen's place was very nearby because it was on the other side of the military bunker.

The ride was swift and smooth and he reached the huge mansion.

He anxiously stood out the door.

"Sir.... you have been standing out there for a while," a security guard came out of nowhere to him.

"I—I'm here to see uncle Wen."

"Who might I say is here?"

"Say Zou Yue is here," Yue nervously kicked few pebbles on the ground.

The security guard went over to his post and made a swift call. The doors opened instantly.

"Sorry for the delay, sir. Transport has been arranged for you," he kindly bowed to him.

"Transport.. ohh.."

There, in front of him, stood a shiny Maserati. Zou Yue blankly looked at it. "When did you guys even have the time to bring it out of the garage?"

From his previous visit he noticed that the car garage was close to the main house rather than the gates. It will usually take almost ten minutes to get here.

"Our cars have been stationed near the gate to welcome special guests such as you..." the guard kindly opened the door for him.

Zou Yue hoped in. 'special.....hmmm'

While he was immersed in his thoughts, they already reached the mansion's main gates.

Zou Yue stepped closer to the huge door. Suddenly, a person tapped on him from behind.

"Little Yue, welcome back,"

"Uncle Wen!" Yue happily ran to him, but restrained himself from touching him.

"Where is my hug, boy?"

"Here it is," he hugged him tight. "How have you been, uncle?"

"I've been great, kid. Come in. Its getting cold out here," he whispered, pulling him in.

But Zou Yue awkwardly paused. "Are there any other guests here... your son's friend, your son...."

"No silly, I am an old lonely man. I don't get many visitors." He gestured for him to follow.

'No white lotus, lucky day!!' Zou Yue happily ran after him.

"Did you like your surprise?"

"I loved it so much! I personally have to thank you, uncle. If not for you, I might have not gotten the best gif of my life," Zou Yue kept chattering excitedly.

"You liked it so much. I guess young people nowadays are different. Back in my days, I was so happy getting a stretchy Armstrong," he mumbled opened the study door for him. "Come in,"

Zou Yue sat down comfortably opposite him. "Uncle, do you know what I came here for?"

"What? You didn't come here to see me? I'm super hurt," he mumbled with a side-wise smirk.

"Uncle~ I did come to see you but I also came to ask about the sword's owner." Zou Yue smiled at him fondly.

"I don't know who that is..." uncle Wen calmly sipped his tea.

"I saw the hilt; it was definitely used by someone."

"Are you unhappy that its used?" his uncle glanced at him for the cup's rim.

"No! I want to meet that person!! I want to learn sword arts!!" Zou Yue said firmly.

Uncle Wen hummed. "I see... you want to learn. What for? I heard a crazy story from your father just a few minutes ago. Are you going to tell me the same?"

Zou Yue flinched, but he swiftly calmed himself down. "Do you believe it?"

"No,"

Yue's excitement wilted a bit.

"But I trust my friend. He won't talk shit," he mumbled.

Zou Yue smirked softly. "Uncle, thank you for believing me."

"I said I believed your father, kid,"

"It's all the same. You believed it. That's all that matters,"

Uncle Wen smiled knowingly. "You are a smart kid. You must have already prepared a lot for this apocalypse you talked about. I believe your friend Mrs. Ling is not a real person at all."

"She is real. She stays in S city. But you are right, the stock are all for me and my family. I suggest you stock up as well, uncle. It's getting unpredictable,"

Zou Yue warned him a bit. S of now he had no way of telling how the future might work out. Last life he had powers, now he did not. It was completely okay because he believed it was the price he paid to come back to his loving family. But being unprepared is not his style.

"Can you tell me about the previous owner? I heard he is in Osaka,"

"He is. He is an old friend of mine. That cranky old man won't even let you in his house. Even I can't talk to him properly,"

"Can you tell me his address," Zou Yue sat up straight.

"hmm.... for the valuable information you have given, its right that I pay you back with this favour,"

"You are stingy, uncle. When did we start owing each other? Besides, I'm planning on spreading this information out wide for free."

Uncle Wen placed the cup on the table. "Won't it cause a widespread panic?"

"It will, but at least people will prepare a bit. Because I've seen it happen before. We were hit when we were all unprepared. It came as a surprise, taking almost half of our population in the first wave. Many starved to death in just a month."

"I want to give others a change just like I was given one,"
