As promised, Qian took him over to his father's place, but to his surprise, he noticed a few changes.
"Why is the gate not automatic?" he mumbled, tapping the steering wheel.
Soon a guard came running toward him. "Sir we can't allow your cars inside."
"Huh? But this is my house." Qian whispered in disbelief.
"Sorry sir, we can't allow that. It was mister Wen's order." The poor gate keeper glanced at him awkwardly.
Qian felt even more embarrassed about this situation because he had invited his friend over. he glanced at the back seat with a small guilty smile. "Fan Xui It looks like I'm prohibited from entering."
"It's okay. Only cars are not allowed lets walk," Fan Xui said and got off. He unravelled his walking stick and confidently moved to the gate.
The gatekeeper opened it with a kind smile.
"Wait, can't you get a car to come here from the mansion?" Qian expectantly glanced at him, but the guard shook his head.
"Sorry sir, rules are rules. We can't break it,"
"gaaddd," Qian pouted. "Why is my old man so mean? I didn't meet up with him for ten days now he is barring me from entering. This is so unfair," he grumbled, kicking the pebbles on the ground.
Their main house was quite far in the gardens, so it took them almost twenty minutes to get to the door.
Qian panted softly. "I decided! I'm going to disown myself from my family,"
"Don't say stupid things," Fan Xui calmly knocked on the door.
Old Wen opened it with a small smile. "Looks like young ones got some exercise,"
"Dad, I hate you," Qian grumbled, slouching all the way.
"The feelings mutual, kid," Old Wen gently tapped his back with his stick. "Straighten your back,"
"yes yes, ex-army commander," Qian joked with him, yet still he complied with his father's request.
Inside the mansion, so many servants were roaming around with lists in hand. Some were moving huge boxes in to their basement.
"Are you planning on moving, dad? Without even telling me? How sad. How could you treat your son like this," he exaggeratedly acted like cried.
"No, I am just preparing," old Wen slapped his back straight once more.
"For what?"
"None of your concern." He said and walked straight to the study. "Since you are here with a friend, I'm going to assume it's to talk business,"
"yes yes," Qian jumped onto the sofa and helped himself to the cookies on the table. "Fan Xui try this it's awesome,"
Fan Xui reservedly took one and ate.
"such a promising young man. Why are you friends with a slug like him," old Wen mumbled, pouring him some tea.
"hey! I am not a slug! That is an insult to my handsome face," he grumbled, spitting cookie crumbles everywhere.
Old Wen just wiped the table with a cloth and handed the tea to Fan Xui. "What brings you here?"
"I need your help, sir." Fan Xui anxiously glanced at him. "My friend, I think he might be in danger."
Old Wen sat up. "Tell me more,"
"he... he moved and I am not able to get a hold of him."
Old Wen slightly leaned back. "Oh, then you just lost contact,"
"No, I did not just lose contact. They moved and out their old house for sale. I contacted the number but could not get a hold of them. My company has a contact with him I tried contacting his manger. Even he does not know where he is." He took a deep breath.
"I tried searching for his information up in the government documents to see if he had just moved, but now. I could not access it. It seems like someone powerful had locked it all up! He might be in grave danger!!!"
Qian looked at him with a weird look. "This is the most you have spoken in ten years. Pops, you have got to help him out," he mumbled, placing his legs on the table.
Old Wen slapped it down. "What is this kid's name? I'll ask my friends if they know anything." He picked up the tea cup and took a sip.
"Zou Yue, his name is Zou Yue,"
Old Wen spat out his tea. "What did you say his name was?"
"Zou Yue, he is about 5.5 feet tall, wait... I think I have a photo," he said, searched through his pockets he held out a magazine cut out. "See, he is very beautiful. What if he was captured by someone with weird hobbies?,"
Old Wen sighed loudly. He then proceeded to clean the table with the cloth. "hmmmm...hmmmmm..."
"Can you please help me?" Fan Xui anxiously glanced at him.
"I can try, but can you tell me what your relation is with him?"
"he... he....
"He has a major crush on him." Qian nudged him. "Come on, Fan, don't be shy tell my pops. He will help reunite young love,"
Fan Xui silently looked at the old man for answers.
Old Wen's fist tightened on the paper towel. "I'll see what I can do.... but I can't assure you of anything,"
"Thank you! Thank you so much." Fan Xui bowed deeply.
They both left after a short talk.
As soon as they left, old Wen called up a familiar number but only busy tone was heard. "What's wrong? Why is he not picking his phone?"
His heart became unsettled. He swiftly drove over to the new house.
"Wen, why are you here unannounced? Did you get bored with your mansion?" Zou Wei mumbled, opening the door.
"Why aren't you picking the call you idiot!!"
"Call? Oh... the signal here is not strong. I am planning on changing my network." He said casually and led him to the hallway.
Old Wen sighed loudly. "Thank god nothing happened."
"Okay.... you are being very weird..."
"Where is Yue?"
"He Went to Osaka to find a sword master." He said casually as he watered the small spinach sapling.
Only then did old Wen's heart calm down. "I see...." he walked closer and checked the whole garden. It was filled with vegetables and green instead of the usual flowers. "Are you trying your hand at agriculture? Because of that.."
"Yeah, we need to be self sufficient. Stocks won't last long,"
"Good plan. Yue kid is very intelligent.. I wish I had him as my son. What I got was a slug who spits every time he chews,"
