Chapter 1333 Failed Ambush

Chapter 1333 Failed Ambush

Continuing to keep an eye on the situation at the border of the Onyx Empire, Xuan Hao didn't dare to relax himself before he felt two of the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators leaving to likely check out what kind of damage the demonic cultivators had done. Only then did he know that the sect wasn't being targeted by the Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestors from the Blue Sea Empire.

Although he had no idea why they had decided to ignore the Chaotic Qi Formation, it was at least safe to assume that they didn't intend to take any action against the Star Shattering Sect for now, as they would undoubtedly have done so when the four of them had been gathered together instead of waiting.

Outside of that, there was also a chance that they hadn't discovered that it was the chaotic qi formation that blocked the attack back then. Not something too unrealistic considering that only one of the Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestor had been around when it had happened, and he was busy dealing with the three Demon King Realm demonic cultivators attacking him.

With that in mind, Xuan Hao looked at the directions that he had felt the two remaining Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestors from the Blue Sea Empire moving before they had retracted their presence and made it impossible for him to continue following them. Feeling even more certain that they shouldn't cause any problems for the Star Shattering Sect.

At least for now, it looked like the Star Shattering Sect had managed to avoid the scrutiny of the Blue Sea Empire, but Xuan Hao had a feeling that this wouldn't last for long, as it seemed like the sect should have already entered the view of the Blue Sea Empire after what had happened today.

For now, I should inform Feng Chen and the rest about the situation so they can make adequate preparations in case they encounter someone from the Blue Sea Empire...

Narrowing both his eyes as he thought about this to himself, Xuan Hao didn't continue his earlier training with Bai Ning, but instead decided to directly go to Feng Chen and have a chat with him about the rather dangerous situation that the Star Shattering Sect might find itself in not too far into the future.

At the same time, he also decided to try and have Elder Dust Fairy try and use the growing information network of the sect to try and look into the situation of the Blue Sea Empire's Ancestors and what had happened at the border of the Onyx Empire.

After all, even though he could sense their presence and the fight that had taken place, he couldn't really personally see what was happening nor how things had ended up after the battle had ended.

Even if it might be a bit dangerous to look into the Blue Sea Empire and anything about their ancestors with the current strength of the sect's information network, it wouldn't be too difficult to do as other powers close to the Onyx Empire should have similar thoughts of wanting to figure out what had happened.

No matter what it was, it could be considered good news for the Star Shattering Sect and the different powers within the scope of the Blue Sea Empire's influence, as it meant that they didn't have to worry about the demonic cultivators getting any harder to deal with.

Of course, it didn't mean that the demonic cultivators were easy to deal with. Not in the slightest bit.

The only power that managed to easily deal with the demonic cultivators was the Star Shattering Sect that had the barrier created by Xuan Hao to help out blocking any demonic cultivator trying to enter through the sect's direct border with the Frozen Wasteland, while another side was blocked by the Blue Sea Empire who had by now fully taken control of the land that had once been the Onyx Empire. Having transformed it into a temporary base of operation for the Blue Sea Empire in region.

In the end, this meant that the Star Shattering Sect essentially only had to worry about demonic cultivators coming into the sect through one location. Allowing them to continue exploiting the demonic cultivators that reached this border by having them serve as perfect training material for the sect's disciples and elders.

Like this, another few months peacefully went by for the Star Shattering Sect, as more and more of the elders broke through to the Domain Lord Realm. Stabilizing the Star Shattering Sect's position as a powerful force comparable to the old Sky Empire in the eyes of the surroundings kingdoms and empires.

In turn, this resulted in a large influx of spies who wanted to find out more about the Star Shattering Sect and how strong they really were and possibly also get their hands on the sect's inheritance at the same time.

Although nothing had ended up being leaked yet, as Elder Dust Fairy proved to be incredibly skilled in weeding out spies before they had a chance to enter the Shattered Star Peaks, it was ultimately only a matter of time before someone managed to get through the net or someone inside the Star Shattering Sect was tempted to leak information.

With all of that in mind, Elder Song and the rest of the elders in charge of the sect's internal management had to start seriously considering the matter of the sect's information or inheritance being leaked to the outside world.

At the moment, the Star Shattering Sect was using the tried-and-true method of having both disciples and elders swear a simple dao oath of not bringing any harm to sect or leak its information and cultivation techniques outside the sect.

Even though this method was extremely useful, it wasn't perfect.

Over the long years that such dao oaths had existed, countless methods had been found to circumvent them. From simple techniques that involved someone getting drunk and blurting out sect secrets without any intention to do so or real knowledge about what they were doing to more advanced techniques that involved soul searching techniques.

So, with that in mind, Elder Song and the rest of the sect's internal management elders began looking for other ways to ensure that the information meant to stay inside the sect didn't leak outside the sect.
