Chapter 1617 Primal Monarch

"You're right. I am not from this world originally. I came to the Primal Expanse by accident, and I am trying to look for a way back to my own world." Yuan said to the Divine Fox of Grand Prophecy after she correctly guessed his identity.

"And you think I know this method? What made you come here, anyway?" The Divine Fox asked.

"That's what the Supreme Ox said. Don't tell me you don't…" Yuan swallowed nervously.

"I do know how to leave this world."

"Really?!"

Yuan's expression brightened after hearing this.

"Yes, but I do not have the power to do so. If you want to leave this world, you will need to find someone else."

"Not this again..." Yuan muttered in disbelief.

He had already spent a year in the Primal Expanse, with most of that time devoted to searching for someone who could help him escape this realm.

This was now the third time he was being directed to find another individual who 'might' be able to assist him. The repeated dead ends were becoming increasingly frustrating, but there was nothing he could do but continue following these leads.

Seeing Yuan's disappointed face, the Divine Fox elaborated, "You probably don't know this, but the Primal Expanse has a master—one true ruler that governs every Primal and Predator in existence."

"Not only does he rule over the entire Primal Expanse, but he also has the power to connect this world to the other world. If you want to leave this world, you'll need to find him."

"Who is this individual?" Yuan asked.

"Some call him the One True Monarch while others call him the Primal Monarch or Monarch of Primals."

"Primal Monarch…?" Yuan repeated in a mumbling voice.

Although this should have been his first time hearing of this individual, Yuan couldn't shake a sense of familiarity, as if he somehow already knew or was connected to them in some way.

"Where can I find him?" Yuan then asked.

The Divine Fox pointed the skewers in her hand at him and said, "So, what kind of meat is this?"

Clearly, she had no intention of answering all of his questions for free.

The Divine Fox pointed the skewers in her hand at him and said, "So, what kind of meat is this?"

Clearly, she had no intention of answering all of his questions for free.

"There are three types of meat used for those meat skewers. They come from animals we call chicken, lamb, and cow." "Are animals in your world what we call Primals here?" she asked.

"No. Animals don't have spiritual energy. They're essentially powerless Primals."

"I see… Which meat is this?" Divine Fox asked as she showed him one of the skewers.

"That white meat is from chicken. The small, chunky ones are lamb meat. The brown slices are beef—cow meat." Yuan explained.

"And what are these tiny specks of dust on it? I can tell that's where most of the flavors come from." The Divine Fox continued to inquire.

"We call those spices, which are commonly used to give or enhance flavors in our food. Without them, the meat will taste quite bland."

"I see… how intriguing…" The Divine Fox stared at the meat skewers.

"I happen to have some spices on me. If you want, I can give you some." Yuan suddenly retrieved several bottles of spices, mainly salt, sugar, garlic, and crushed pepper.

"Oh?!" The Divine Fox's gaze suddenly brightened.

"Of course, it's not for free—"

"If you want to find the Primal Monarch, it's impossible. He's not an individual you can just seek out. Like me, he will only appear before you if he chooses to do so. If he doesn't want you to find him, you will spend the rest of your life trying."

"What?! Then how am I—"

The Divine Fox interrupted, "Of course, I can help you find—give you a better chance of finding him. With my divination, I can locate his proximity. Whether or not you will be able to find him is entirely up to your luck and fate."

"However, for my abilities to work on the Primal Monarch, I will need to use a tremendous amount of Chaotic Essence—more than what I currently have, so you'll need to supply me with the rest. This is also why I can only give you his proximity, as I lack the power to do anything more."

Yuan tossed the spices to the Divine Fox of Grand Prophecy after receiving her answer.

"So, what would it cost to have you help me find him?" Yuan asked the following moment.

"I'll be severely weakened after using my ability on the Primal Monarch, so it'll cost you more than just some spices or food." The Divine Fox said.

"I have an annoying neighbor who's always been a pain in my butt and consistently trying to scheme against me. I want you to get rid of them for me," she said.

"If this individual is so strong that even you cannot get rid of them, what hope do I have?" Yuan asked.

"They're not particularly strong. I would have no issue dealing with someone at their level in ordinary circumstances, but this one has a special background, so I am unable to harm them without putting myself at risk. With that being said, they still have the strength of a Perfect Chaotic King, way above what you can handle at your current level."

"Perfect Chaotic King… so around Divine Sovereign, huh? I think I can manage." Yuan said.

"Huh? You're barely a Perfect Chaotic Adept. There's no way you can defeat someone three major realms stronger than yourself. In the first place, I never expected you to do the work, but your little friend here." The Divine Fox of Grand Prophecy's gaze stared at Yingzi as she spoke.

Yuan smiled and said, "I have my ways."

"Whatever. I don't care how you deal with that bastard as long as you get rid of him. Once you do that, I'll divine the Primal Monarch's location for you. Also, don't forget about the extra Chaotic Essence. I need a treasure that will temporarily boost my strength, or it won't work, and coincidentally, that annoying bastard has something like that in his possession."
