Cindy Clarke didn’t seem flustered at all, and asked her little one softly, “Are you scared?”

“Not scared!” Morgan Zhekova chirped, “Cindy, I’ll protect you!”

Morgan’s words made many of the onlookers feel uncomfortable.

How excessive it was for so many of them to bully Cindy and Morgan, mother and child!

Cindy Clarke smiled slightly and said, “If you won’t let us leave, that’s fine. But I won’t apologize because we haven’t done anything wrong from the start. I also won’t let you falsely accuse my son.”

“All of you are in your mid-twenties, yet you’re bullying a four-year-old child. How shameful.” Cindy smirked.

“You are students of Capitol Medical College, right!” Cindy suddenly raised her voice, making sure everyone around her could hear her clearly.

“Ian Morris, intern at Pentz General Hospital. Eleanor Ward, intern at Caring Hospital.” Cindy continued, mentioning Gerald Young and Rowena Campbell, “These two haven’t introduced themselves before. But since they are classmates interning together, they must be within the scope of Capitol Medical College.”

“Why are you speaking so loudly!” Rowena Campbell panicked.

As expected, people around them started pointing fingers and accusing them.

“Didn’t expect them to be doctors.”

“Yeah, how can they bully a child?”

“She’s alone with her kid, and they still treat her like this?”

“Forget helping her, they’re actually bullying her!”

“No matter what happened in between, you can’t make life difficult for a child.”

“Yes, you might be talented medical students and medical doctors, but does that mean you can look down on other professions?” Cindy added.

“I said I’m a chef, so what? Does that make me unworthy in your eyes? You keep saying how my job in the kitchen is hard and low-level, and the people I interact with daily are not presentable.” Cindy dropped her sarcastic smile and suddenly became serious, “If you despise it so much, don’t go to restaurants to eat! Look how capable you think you are!”

“Exactly! This is too much! Are they amazing just because they are doctors? Can they just look down on others?” Someone echoed disapprovingly.

“No matter what, I rely on my own skills to make a living. I support myself and my child with my honest work,” Cindy said coldly, “I didn’t steal, rob, kidnap or deceive; I didn’t do anything unsavory. I learned a valuable skill through hard work to support myself. What right do you have to look down on me? Not just me, but what right do you have to look down on all those people like me, who may not have a prestigious profession, an outstanding background, but still strive to live a decent life?”
