Chapter 38: Hiro’s Busy Saturday (II)

Such an absurd thing really happened? Hiro was stunned.

The question was, did Teacher Aiya's roommate become that man's girlfriend before or after she rented the apartment?

Also, was that woman a previous residence or did she rent the apartment together with Aiya?

Each of these questions had a different answer, but each answer had some scary implications.

Hiro had to admit—that man took stalking to the extreme. However, why would he do it?

Was it to affect Teacher Aiya's current divorce lawsuit?

Hiro's thoughts were a mess, and eventually, he decided that he might as well not think too much. In any case, this was Teacher Aiya's mess, not his.

"Then, why don't you simply move out to live somewhere else?" Hiro asked carelessly.

He really couldn't be bothered with this small issue anymore.

Teacher Aiya shook her head and said, "I can't do that, it'll be too obvious. However, I can't rest at ease knowing that my roommate might be involved with whatever is going on."

Hiro rubbed his forehead, feeling a little uncomfortable with the situation. After thinking about it for a moment, he suddenly had an idea.

He turned to Sebastian and said, "Contact your friend from that Housing Agency and pull some strings, arrange for me to become a third-party tenant in her apartment."

As Hiro spoke, he pointed his finger at Teacher Aiya.

Both Sebastian and Teacher Aiya were stunned. The former was because his master had just bought a 280 million mansion, only to settle down in a commercial apartment. S~eaʀᴄh the ηovelFire.ηet website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

As for the latter, she was stunned because her student was planning to live in the same apartment as herself.

Although the apartment had a few spare rooms and the landlord definitely wouldn't mind, something still felt off about this.

As she was thinking to herself, Hiro suddenly looked up at the building. "It's a good apartment building, and judging from the size of each floor, I'm sure that the apartments aren't small. Haven't the landlord ever approached you about someone with keen interest to rent a room?"

Hiro's question brought Teacher Aiya back to reality, and while Sebastian distanced himself to make the phone call, she sank into thoughts.

What Hiro said did make sense.

Her application to rent a room in the apartment went smoothly—almost too smoothly. However, she hadn't heard anything about new tenants inquiring about the apartments recently.

The rent definitely wasn't high, and the location was close to both a police station and a decent hospital.

Nonetheless, how come no one showed any interest in renting a room? Then, all of a sudden, she recalled how her new roommate appeared together with that boyfriend.

"Other than my roommate, there hadn't been anyone else. According to her, he's a married man, and she's no more than his kept woman whom he provides for." Teacher Aiya answered honestly.

Hiro nodded and didn't say anything, thinking for a while.

Suddenly, he seemed to have thought about something and asked, "What are the laws regarding divorce? Don't give me that weird look, I haven't even had sex before, let alone get into a relationship. I wouldn't think as far as marriage yet, let alone divorce."

Teacher Aiya almost treated Hiro as a fool the moment she heard his question, but his words left her both embarrassed and angry.

She turned her head to the side and answered unwillingly.

"Nothing too complicated. If I had proof that my spouse cheated, then I would have gotten custody of the children if we ever had any, not to mention that all property under our name would become my property, including 30% of his assets that aren't registered under our shared household register."

Hiro touched his chin, his mind analyzing the information. "Oh, do you have proof that he cheated?"

"No," Teacher Aiya gritted her teeth and answered honestly. "I don't have any proof that he cheated."

"Then it's easy to figure out," Hiro answered in all honesty.

"They're probably trying to pin the infidelity crime on you. I mean, think about it for a moment… You're currently living in the apartment of a supposedly 'kept' woman of some rich, married man.

Obviously, he has connections with the landlord, all he needs to do is find the time and place to remove evidence of your roommate's rental documents and spin a story about your leaving your husband for another man who can provide for you."

Although it sounded far-fetched, Hiro would rather believe something this ridiculous to be true than chuck it all up to coincidence.

Obviously, Teacher Aiya thought about it and believed it to be too ridiculous.

"What about the married man?" Teacher Aiya challenged Hiro. "Wouldn't his marriage be at risk as well? His wife can easily use this method to target him. Don't tell me that she wouldn't dare or that the marriage is fake, because this whole setup is based on the foundation of that man's married status to begin with."

Hiro was speechless. "Are you blind to the political power struggles in this world? Even our school can't escape their influence and schemes."

Hiro shook his head helplessly. "Their wedding is probably a political marriage without love, just an empty husk. Even if there was evidence of him having extramarital lovers, it would be useless if his spouse didn't file a suit against him. Moreover, who can say she doesn't have any lovers of her own? This is a political marriage."

Teacher Aiya still wasn't convinced. "That's all pure speculations."

Hiro felt like slamming his head into a wall.

At this moment, Sebastian walked over with an apologetic expression as he shook his head and said, "My friend tried to pull some strings, but the landlord isn't willing to rent out a room. He said that the entire building is booked."

Hearing this, Hiro gave Teacher Aiya a look that said, I told you so.

Teacher Aiya was stunned. She felt that the entire thing sounded quite incredible.

Although Hiro wasn't really too invested in her family matters, he was still a little interested as he asked, "Does your husband have any business under him? Logically speaking, the tax revenue of an enterprise is above the legal limit of private property, this could be a reasonable motive to act out such a long-winded plan."

Teacher Aiya felt that it made sense. However, no matter what, the divorce was already a done deal.

"Well, seems like it's not necessary for me to go up to your apartment," Hiro stretched and felt a little better.

From this point on, it was up to her how to deal with this situation. It could be dangerous, it could even be life-threatening—but at the very least, she wasn't grasping at invisible straws anymore.

Teacher Aiya was stunned for a moment, not expecting Hiro to wash his hands clean from the matter just like that.

However, she was a grown woman who went through many things. At that moment, she understood her position and where she had to go.

Hiro nodded in satisfaction. This beautiful teacher will reach very far in life, even if it's not as far as himself.

Waving at her with a smile, Hiro gestured to Sebastian and went for the car.

Sebastian saluted Teacher Aiya respectfully and followed his master, opening the door for Hiro before he got into the driver's seat and drove off.

Teacher Aiya watched the car leave for a while. Then, she didn't return to her apartment but instead, she flagged a taxi and left.

Sebastian quickly followed the navigation instructions he received from Arabella to arrive at the new Sciatis Holdings building.

Hiro was disconnected from his company ever since he assigned Arabella as the new CEO, while he withdrew to the shadows as the chairman.

After the car parked in the underground parking lot, Arabella's young male assistant was already waiting by the elevator.

He said, "You have an appointment with CEO Arabella, she sent me here to receive you."

The male assistant was curious as to who would garner the CEO's immediate attention.

She actually canceled her meeting for the day just to meet this mysterious person.

Hiro gave the young male assistant a look, nodded, and followed him into the elevator without saying anything.

With Arabella's male assistant leading the way, no one dared to block their path as they made their way to her office on the highest floor.

If Hiro wasn't planning to keep a low profile among these random employees, he wouldn't have acted so discreetly.

Actually, he was really surprised to find the company so active. According to his understanding, they shouldn't have any projects going on.

At most, they would allocate a portion of the company's resources to search for investments and another portion to account for charity work.

Other than that, Hiro couldn't think of anything else. He decided not to think about it since Arabella would explain everything.

Soon, there was only Arabella and Hiro in her big, empty office.

Arabella didn't dare slight her master by sitting on the leather chair behind the mahogany desk.

Hiro didn't care to sit down. Instead, he walked toward the floor-to-ceiling window and looked at the bustling city below.

Slowly, the silence stretched Arabella waited for instructions.
