Chapter 63: Kind Great Demon

With the help of the system's concealment features, Hiro easily removed all traces of spirituality from his body.

Although he didn't have demonic energy either, he at least looked the part of a demonic creature.

Hiro conveniently activated the treasure-scanning feature while advancing toward the core of the pocket dimension, as highlighted by the maps provided by the church.

Although the pocket dimension was very large, the entrance point designated by the church wasn't too far from the core area.

However, that area was also the central point of the conflict where the Outsiders from the different worlds are gathered.

Hiro sneakily traveled for more than ten days, avoiding humans when necessary and killing the weird creatures he found on his path when he encountered them.

Hiro found many chaotic treasures as well.

Like the chaotic neutral energy in the air, any and all Paranormals can use these treasures, but the efficiency of the transmission and conversion of energy weakens the effects of the treasures.

Hiro didn't even bother wasting his achievement points to store them inside his inventory space.

If he couldn't use them to full capacity, Hiro would just ignore them. However, he did take a fancy to a stone sword, mainly for the trace of pure demonic energy flowing through the chaotic energy.

"I'm really tempted to try using the gluttony physique on these energies… Sadly, I'm already at the peak of my current tier, and I can't afford to advance higher right now."

Hiro cast a disappointed look at the heap of treasures he found in an underground bunker.

It must have been some shelter for the creatures who once lived here, or perhaps it was something constructed by the church during their expedition.

Nonetheless, the treasures left behind were scrap metal at best, and that was from the church's perspective, as the presence of the demonic energy couldn't be hidden.

Growl…

The ground shook as a low growl reverberated from a dark corner.

Hiro looked over, and he quickly noticed deep purple bloodstains on the concrete floor, their trail leading into the darkness.

Hiro raised an eyebrow, infusing spirituality into his eyes as they gleamed with a bright crimson light, allowing Hiro's vision to penetrate the darkness.

"A lion cub? No, although it looks similar, this one has horns and twin tails… Hm? There are two of them?"

Hiro waved his hand and cast a simple fireball spell, illuminating the corner. Then, he saw a larger creature—this one's horns were ripped off, and even its brains were visible through the cracks in its skull.

Moreover, the tip of both its tails were also cut off, and blood oozed out from its now toothless maw.

The low growling came from the small cub who seemed to have sensed Hiro's approach, and it was just the little guy's instinctive reaction to threats.

"This creature must have been pregnant when it was besieged, so it escaped here to give birth even when its life was slipping away," Hiro concluded after examining the condition of the dying creature.

Hiro took a step forward.

The cub growled even louder, and the horns on its head slowly turned darker and darker, a sliver of pure demonic energy concentrating on the tip of its horns.

Its pale yellow fur slowly turned a shade of a deep, menacing red as its small body trembled, then doubled in size at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Hiro raised an eyebrow, especially when a tri-edged sharp spike took form on the tip of each tail, looking dearly threatening.

Hiro paused, and he began to think. It'd be such a pity to kill this little fellow, it might prove useful in the future…

Just as Hiro thought to this point, he heard a commotion from the outside.

"The trails lead this way, hurry up!"

It was someone talking in the demonic tongue. Luckily, Hiro learned both the demonic and draconian tongues upon contracting Arabella and Juvia.

Thus, he easily interpreted the talks outside.

Of course, after countless years of wars between worlds in the ever-changing battlefield that is the pocket dimension, different civilizations grasped knowledge correlating to their enemies one way or another.

For example, it's not difficult to book a language course on the PARA app to learn Ancient Elvin, Demonic Tongue, Rune Language, etc.

It's just a matter of convenience and affordability.

Likewise, it wouldn't be weird if Hiro encountered an Outsider who spoke the human language. Sёarᴄh the Nôvel(F)ire.nёt website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

With that in mind, Hiro dispelled the fireball spell and concealed his spirituality once again, reverting back to looking like a wandering demonic creature.

After thinking for a while, Hiro temporarily activated his {Synchronization} and chose the Demon Ancestor Sitri to synchronize with.

Though contained, dense and pure demonic energy rolled and tossed about inside Hiro's body, slowly radiating outwards.

"Eh? What's this? Such pure holy energy!" A demon outside cried out, followed by the exclamations of at least twenty more.

They rushed inside, frantically at that—almost causing the underground structure to collapse.

Well, it did collapse—slabs of concrete and metal fell from the ceiling.

Roar!

The demonic lion cub roared at the falling piece of concrete, as it was large enough to slap both mother and child to death.

Hiro's eyes narrowed, and from the hilt of his stone sword, a black flame ignited and crawled onto the sword's edge and spine.

Hiro waved his hand, sending a wave of hellfire in a crescent blast, silently seeping into the large stone slab. Then, the flames exploded—engulfing the falling stone.

Growl!

The demonic lion cub roared anxiously, sparks of dark energy flickering on its twin horns, but nothing came out.

Just as it thought it would die, the black flames dispersed into a cloud of darkness above the two creatures, and whichever debris and metal landed into the fire was evaporated into nothingness.

When the horde of demonic creatures finally stepped into the torn hall, they realized what kind of mess they made—almost killing the two demonic lions!

"Are you looking to die?" Hiro asked in a low, threatening voice. The demonic energy around his body spread out like tendrils of pure darkness, morphing into fearsome black flames.

The flames rose to form a creepy skull behind his back, almost filling up the entire space inside the underground hall.

The immense pressure caused most of the demonic creatures to either kneel or directly lie flat on the ground, trembling.

"Please spare us, we were careless! We were afraid that something happened to the Demonic Leo!"

"Please, this is a mission handed down to us by Lord Zenka, please spare our lives!"

Lord Zenka? Hiro latched onto that name, and as his mind spun, he snorted coldly and said, "Do you see the mother Demonic Leo? It was already injured and on the verge of death, and your recklessness almost finished it off!" Find your next read at m-vl-em-pyr

The host of demonic creatures trembled.

Some of them looked like mammals, some like aquatic creatures, and some had the appearance of birds; all of them were somewhat humanoid in stature.

"We… we have prepared a dimensional key, Sire!"

The demonic creatures scrambled to respond. In their opening, someone with such pure demonic energy was surely someone of high status.

"Oh?" Hiro raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Good, I lost my key to the despicable humans. I thought I would be stuck here for good."

"This…" The leading demonic creature began to sweat buckets. "We only have a single-time use key that can transport one living entity, so…"

Hiro understood. Hmm, this is quite troublesome… System, can you extract the coordinates from the key?

[Notice: Yes, it's possible.]

Hiro breathed a sigh of relief. That's good, that's good…

Hiro glanced back at the heavily wounded mother Leo and the Leo cub, deep in thought.

"Alright," he said in a low, deep voice. "Give me the key, I'll send the Leo cub back first, its mother doesn't look like it can survive for long."

The demonic creature sighed in relief. Luckily, this Sire doesn't seem to be unreasonable—when did our world give rise to such an understanding Great Demon?

The leading demonic creature didn't hesitate to give the black and purple demonic seal to Hiro, still trembling.

As Hiro held the dimensional key, he didn't hesitate to spend another 1,000 achievement points to obtain the coordinates for the Demon World.

Hiro couldn't help but smile beneath his mask, a smile that reached his sparkling crimson eyes.

"Mhm, this is good stuff," Hiro commented before pointing the seal at the weary Leo cub.

With a squeeze, the seal shattered and a small oval portal appeared. Then, a suction force acted on the Leo cub, and despite its apprehension and struggles, it was dragged into the portal.

After the portal disappeared, the seal's remnants were reduced to powder that drifted in the wind.

"Now," Hiro shook the dust off his hand and while the lesser demonic creatures breathed a sigh of relief, Hiro swung down the stone sword and reduced the injured mother Leo to drifting cinders of hellfire.

Seeing this, the lesser demonic creatures trembled in fear.
