Meet and greet
I shrugged "Up to you, just thought you'd like to know." I said with a smile.
"I do enjoy the knowledge yes. Ah, but we really mustn't keep all these people here with our idle chatting. I shall take my leave now but don't hesitate to approach me if you ever need anything." she said with a smile before leaving with a sultry sway of her hips.
Like planned the other gods and goddesses with any desire to poach Bell or I left quietly while only those with intentions related to other matters and thus not having to fear Freya were left. A total of which numbered only six.-
The first was Hephaestus to discuss our coin deal that was still in the works and being finalized. I couldn't help but find it amusing how confused she was when she discovered that I wasn't in fact charmed by Freya. She only discovered this because she specifically went out of her way to look for it, likely out of self interest. Like I said I wasn't dense enough to miss the signs of her trying to get my affections but that didn't mean I couldn't ignore them.-
Cruel perhaps but she was immortal and I very much was quite limited in time so she while could afford to have distractions like romance, I couldn't. Moving on the second god was Ogun who was smiling like he had won a bet as he said proudly that he had insisted that I was innocent of this accusation. I knew that he had indeed tried standing up for me but without undeniable proof none of the other gods believed him. There was nothing for it unfortunately as that was just how gods were in general about stuff they had their minds set on.-
Stubbornness was all too common place amongst their number but considering while they were in heaven they were denied almost nothing it wasn't so hard to understand why. Anyways Ogun merely came to congratulate us on the achievements as well as warn us to stay away from the Freya familia. The third was a goddess with massive boobs and honey colored hair that was the definition of a milf, Demeter. She was mature looking with a body that left you staring even if you didn't intend to.
"Ara Ara, Mr. Drake if you continue looking at me like that I'll blush." the goddess teased with a giggle after catching me staring.
I coughed awkwardly while looking away embarrassed when Hestia glared at me. I couldn't help it damnit I was a perfect heterosexual male so there was no way in hell I wasn't going to take an eyeful of such a bountiful "harvest". Anyways Demeter just wanted to catch up with Hestia since they hadn't seen each other since they were in heaven but the goddess also made it known that she wasn't worried about the result of this investigation at all.-
The fourth god was a light brown skinned man with a clean white robe and straight bound beard on his chin and nowhere else.
"I don't mind but you'll need to come to our familias home to discuss the details of this commission." I said honestly and he agreed without hesitation.
The fifth was a goddess with dark hair and pale skin not from being fair but because it was untouched by the sun. Her eyes were black and shiny like obsidian glass that peered at you calmly. What bothered me however was her soul that looked suspiciously like my own in that it was nothing but purest black.
"Nyx" Hestia breathed out warily.
"Hestia, so very good to see you away from that stuffy bright flame in heaven. And I must say that I am surprised to see that you have a child like this in your familia. Such a deep resonance to my arcaenum he has. Why I almost want to snatch him up for myself!" the goddess said with a predatory smile as she spoke that gave me goosebumps.
"He's my child and don't you forget it!" Hestia said standing between us defensively.
Nyx just smiled wider before walking past us and whispering in my ear as she went "I'll be watching your progress with bated breath, little soul~" she spoke sensually and I stiffened.
I wanted really really fucking hard not to take that first meeting to heart but something about that goddess bothered me on a deeply primal level and I wasn't sure why. Anyways the final god left to speak with us was no other than the god that had personally verified our innocence himself, Hermes.
"No hard feelings i hope? I was simply doing my job after all." he said with a friendly smile.
"In that case why are you still here? Surely you don't want to talk about what you saw, after all what's it got to do with you at this point?" I asked stopping the god in his tracks.
