Chapter 49 - I Got A Hunch

Gasping, Luna immediately turns on her nightstand lamp.

She sits up and runs her finger through her hair. She's sweating even though she set the air conditioner with a bit low temp. Her tears once again flow down her cheek like a broken dam.

"That dream again." She's trembling a bit. It's been quite long since she was haunted by that dream. It's her past memory that she really wants to forget it.

"You know her?" Raymond asked with a bit surprised in his voice.

"I-" Luna want to speak up but again, she was interrupted by the girl named Sarah.

"She's your good-for-nothing wife," Sarah smirk at her and grabs Luna's arm roughly. "Don't worry babe, I'll take her out. You should go and sleep now."

"Ow!" Luna wriggles her arm while glaring at the woman who dares to drag her out from her husband's luxurious apartment.

Shove Luna at the front door, Sarah steps out and closes the door while crossing both of her arms, looking down at her like she was trash.

"How dare you come here." She growling at her.

Luna stands up and picks up her handbag on the floor. She inhaling and turn to face the woman who shamelessly wears a bathrobe inside the married guy's house.

"This is my husband's house. I have every right to it. It is you who is the shameless bitch who goes into a married guy's house." Luna talk back.

"Your husband?" She chuckles and strides to her, "Don't make me laugh! You're only tools, your job will be done soon. Wake up, barbie..this is not your dream world."

Luna scoffs and slaps her face hard.

Pap!

"Who do you think you are?" Luna asked while gritting her teeth, suppressing her anger from blow up.

Chuckle, Sarah glare at her before she smugly smiles at her. "Right, I'll show you who I am."

She makes herself fall on the floor and yell loudly, to which Luna's a bit startled. Only a second passed before the door behind them flaunt open by Raymond.

He looks worried and once he saw Sarah was on the floor, holding her cheek with her hand and her crocodile tears, he immediately looks at Luna who is a bit dumbfounded by Sarah's act.

"What did you do to her?!" He furiously glared at her.

Luna shakes her head. "She's faking it!"

"Dear..it's hurt.." Sarah grabs Raymond's sleeve and said again with a bit guilty in her voice.

"I only tell her to return home, or else…your grandma will worry. But she pushes me and slapped me."

"Lie!" Luna yelled, defending herself.

"You." Raymond sighs in annoyed.

"Go home." Just one word he utters before he carries Sarah inside the house and closes the door.

Luna's expression when he carries the vixen was so…hurt. Once the door is closed, she slumped on the floor.

"You said you love me. You said I'll be always.." Luna did not finish her word as she picks up her handbag and went to the elevator, down to the lobby.

Mr. Carson is at standby in the pavement with the car ready. When he spotted Luna exited the elevator, his expression turns gloomy.

Luna was crying. She looked like she was hurt.

"Madam-"

"I want to meet Dr. Fang." Luna gets inside the car and wipes her tears.

Without any delay, Mr. Carson drove the car to the hospital where Dr. Fang worked.

Present-day.

"Don't you remember? You're the one who throws me away.." Luna sniffles.

Bzzz Bzzz

The vibrating sound makes luna scrunches a bit before she looking at her phone, she smiles widely before she looks at the hanging wall clock inside her bedroom.

She then picks up the video call from the person whom she loved the most.

"Hey…do you know what time is it now?"

"I know..but, I got a hunch that you were crying."

Chuckles, Luna look at her adorable son. "Just because you got a hunch and you call me in the middle of the night?"

Alex nodded his head. "My hunch is always accurate." He speaks with so much confidence in his voice.

"Wow..but, I'm not, baby..don't worry. If I'm crying, its probably because I miss you." She tries to cheer up.

"Mama.." Alex wants to say something, but then he decides to not say anything at all. He knew there's something that always makes her mama crying at night, but until now, he still couldn't figure it out.

"Sleep tight. I miss you and I love you. I'll be your love for eternity, so don't be sad, okay?"

Hearing a consolation word from a four-year-old boy make Luna's heart fill with love and warmth.

"I love you too, for my eternity."
