Chapter 68 - Not In The Motel Room

The very next day,

"Goodbye Luna!" one of the nurses working at the same department as her wave her goodbye and went the other direction.

Like yesterday, today is her second day working in this clinic. When she wants to cross the road, she saw Raymond at the other side of the road, sitting on the bench at the sidewalk, waving his hand to her with a happy face.

Gasping loudly, Luna immediately crossing the road and went to the man. "Raymond, dear..what are you doing here?" Luna's a bit panic to see him outside of the house at this time right now.

Chuckles, Raymond standing up from sitting and kiss her cheek casually. "Good Evening, Luna." He greets her and stares her eyes warmly.

Luna touches her cheek. A bit shocked by his daring action. 'Wait! My dear won't act this way and my scary husband also won't act this way too, so… ' "Who are-"

"I'm Ray, Luna. Did you forget about me already?" He chuckles and looks around them while putting both of his hand inside his jeans pocket.

"Uh…what are you doing here, in the middle of the night?" Luna asked. She also looks around them, there's no one near them and Mr. Carson is also not around too.

"I'm waiting for you." He replied casually and avert his eyes to his arm, asking her to link her hand with his arm.

"Come on, its gonna rain at any moment if we do not hurry. I didn't check on the forecast before went out, sorry I didn't bring an umbrella with me too." He said earnestly that makes Luna easily fall for his word. He's too gentle with her.

She slowly took out her hand and linking with his arm, they both walk together at the sidewalk. "Did your work stressing you out?" He asked after a minute they keep silent.

Shakes her head, she says "No. Just a bit tired."

"Hmm.," Raymond reply it short and they walked to the convenience store near the junction. "Let's go there for a sec. I wanna buy something." He looked at the store before he averts his eyes to the girl beside him.

Scrunching, Luna averts her eyes to the man's face. "Did you bring cash with you?"

Raymond softly giggles. "Pftt...I thought you were gonna ask me what I wanna buy. Aren't you curious about what I wanna buy there, in the middle of the night?" they both cross the road together.

"Nah..I'm not that curious to ask you that." She smiles at him.

Standing at the side of the store, Raymond says. "Stay here. I'll be only taking a minute, okay? Don't stray."

Luna nodded and Raymond went inside after that. Like as he says, he really takes less than a minute to buy something in that store and he came back with a plastic bag in his hand.

He then took out a can of sports drink and give it to Luna. "My wife works hard today, so, here is your treat, Mrs. Wifey."

Squinting her eyes, she takes the drink and opens it. "Thanks, Mr. Hubby."

Rumble!

"Ack!" Luna unconsciously flinching and grab on Raymond's arm. Startle by the lightning. The sky also quite dark and the wind is blowing pretty cold that can make a person shivering.

"We can't go home with this weather." Raymond took out his phone and look at the screen. It is now 11: 30 PM, Mr. Carson and all of the bodyguards in that mansion don't know that he is missing.

They all thought that he went to bed early, while actually, he changes his personalities just after the 'day' Raymond went to sleep. He slips out of that mansion secretly and waits for Luna at the outside of the clinic until she's done her shift. Not willing to let her go home alone in the middle of the night.

Barbara has told everyone in the house that their prioritize is for Raymond and if Luna wants to work, then she had to arrange her own transportation. It is also for the safety so that Raymond's identity won't be revealed because of her carelessness.

"Um.." Luna still glued to him, not wanting to move from his side. She looks around and saw the road seems more dreary than normal. No cars are passing by right now. "What now?"

Raymond then opens his GPS apps on his smartphone, looking for a near motel in this town for them to stay the night. He now regrets that he didn't take a car to fetch her home. Thought walking with her will be more romantic.

"How about we stayed the night at the motel? There's a motel in this town which opens 24 hours." Raymond gives her a suggestion.

Rumble!

Luna once again startled and jump a bit far from Raymond. Surprised because of his sudden invitation to a motel and surprised because of the lightning sound.

"What?!"

Chuckles, he turns to her, looking at the girl who instinctively covers up her chest with her arm. Walking to her slowly and he says, "Relax my dear wife. I'm not gonna do anything to you." He put both his hand on the back of her head and lean closer to her.

"Not in the motel room, of course."

Turn beet red, Luna shoves his body away from her. "You…I-I…"

While she was talking, Raymond looks up at the sky. "Luna..we don't have time. Let's go." He then took her hand and run to the location of the motel. Just after he said that the heavy rain pours down to earth. Drenching both of them until they reach the motel's lobby.

Ding ling ling! The jingling sound from the door make the girl behind the counter looks at them with a bit pout on her mouth, probably feeling a little bit jealous to see a hot guy wanna check-in with a beautiful girl like an angel in the middle of the night. 'Which romantic film that they copied? Urgh!'

"Two single rooms?" The girl asked. 'Ha! You thought I would say that the room is full and only left with one room? Dream on!'

Raymond looks at the soaked Luna which she tries to cover her dress with her arm.

A thin line of her bra is obviously seen through her clothes and she feels so uncomfortable right now. Her heart won't stop pounding for some reason.

She does like Raymond, but the one who she dearly loves is the autistic kid and the second who came in her thought is this man, the one standing there at the counter looking at her. Yes, he may have entered her heart without even trying!

But, that's not the reason why she feels a bit anxious. She feels anxious because she thought about that 'night' Raymond. What if…he's awake when…

"A double room, please," Raymond replied to the girl which make the two of the woman lift up their head and looked at him, surprised.

"D-double room, sir?"

"Yes." Raymond nodded his head. Feeling weird with her question.

"Alright," The girl behind the counter took out a key and pass it to him. "On the second floor, sir." She glared at the woman with a jealousy feeling. 'Tch! Lucky you.'
