Chapter 78 - Hide It Under His Pillow

On the boat, Jamal was dumbstruck with the answer from his question earlier. Who would've thought that these kids were so honest to the point of giving a mind-blowing answer to him about their parents' relationship?

He squinted his eyes before he asked, for the second time now. "So, you guys were saying that…Lily is Mr. Lawrence's daughter with a woman named Lisa? And Alex is the son of Mr. Ray with Luna? And you both are a milk sibling? And now, Luna is in an unknown relationship with Mr. Lawrence? What about Mr. Ray, then? Wait, did he know you are his son, Alex? Oh…my brain…I can't stomach all of this information." He then slumps down on the seat and looks at both of the children in front of him in confusion.

Lily keeps nodding her head ever since Jamal opens up his mouth to ensuring himself all the detail is true. While Alex could only stare him with a poker face, just as the same as his father. One could tell they're truly a copy and paste of father and son.

"Alright, now your turn, uncle Jay." Lily smiles while playing with her pony doll.

"Okay..shoot, sweety." Jamal sits straight up and ready to answer her question. 'Ah, well..what could've gone wrong by answering a kid's question, right? They're the adorable little creature.' He giggling inwardly with his thought.

"What is your last girlfriend's name? Why did you two break up?" Lily asked with one breath.

Dumbfounded, Jamal blinks his eyes. "Whoa! That's…a little bit private, sweety. But I'll answer it anyway."

Jamal then put his finger on his chin and look up like he was thinking hard about his last ex-girlfriends name. "Her name is Fira, and we broke up because…she's a bit temperament, but she's a nice person. Sometimes." He shrugged his shoulder, thinking that is the supposed reason for their break up.

"So, you're actually don't like a temperamental woman?" Lily was a bit shocked by the reason he told them. Well, she is basically a temperamental girl too, even from her young ages, she often gets angry at Alex but that doesn't mean she's a bad girl. She just….want people to follow her instruction accordingly without fail. She's not doing something bad, though.

"Yeah. You could say that I don't like a girl like that. And now, you already asked me two questions." Jamal stops her from asking him more than that. He then looks up at the sky and then averts his eyes back to the railing where he hung the lifejacket around the deck.

"Hmm..seems like the lifejacket is already dry. Wanna go down for snorkeling?" He asked Lily and then avert his eyes to Alex.

"Of course!" Lily said energetically, she just put aside her emotion and ready to enjoy the day.

Alex shakes his head, not wanting to join them. He wants to give Lily a space to be with Jamal. He already promised her after all. He can still go on snorkeling with his mama and papa tomorrow.

While Jamal takes the lifejacket, Alex once again reminding Lily to not do something weird and try to seduce the man. There are a thousand nor a billion more people who fit her age, as her brother, he doesn't want his little sister to get married to an old man . 'Na-uh! Not gonna happen little sis..'

"Tch! I know!" Lily clicked her tongue and roll her eyes.

Luna resurface from the water and take off her snorkel from her mouth, "Hah!" she inhaling a deep breathe and swim to the boat's ladder.

Not long after, Raymond also resurfaces from the water and swimming, following her from behind. Only Brian who did not immediately return back to the boat, instead he swims to his little girl who enjoyed the snorkeling activities with the help of Jamal.

"Did you see that?" Raymond asking Luna while he climbing the ladder. Luna was at the deck, taking off her fins and boots to drying it out.

"Yeah. That was crazy! Did you take the picture?" Luna went to the edge of the boat and sits down there before Raymond also sits down beside her.

He takes out his camera from the camera's housing and gives it to her. "Yeah, there is a lot of the picture I've taken. You want me to send it to you?" He asked while taking off his fins and boots afterward.

"Oh, but I didn't bring my drives," Luna said when she just remembers that she doesn't bring any drives with her except for her phone.

"Em, don't worry. I'll send it to you anyway." He smiles and touches the display button.

"Here, look. You were lucky I caught this picture when you were in the middle of the swirling sardines fish." Raymond averts his eyes to the screen and she also looks at the same picture.

Their head was quite close, engrossing with the chatting and after a few minutes they keep chatting and laughing together, Alex then takes an action to squatted down between his mother and Raymond before he clearing his throat a little.

"Ahem…having fun, mama?" He asked and glance at the man on his left side.

Startled, Luna turns her head around and looks at her son who had a jealousy aura around him. "Uh…baby…sorry I take quite a lot of time to dive. Are you bored, honey?"

Alex nods his head. "I was super bored in this boat. Lily was the only one having fun there." He pouted his mouth while looking at the three people who enjoy playing with the sea cucumber over there.

Luna chuckles and kisses his head gently. "Alright, I'm done now. Wanna go on snorkeling?" Luna asked. Thinking that Alex wants to go there too.

"Nah…I'll just go tomorrow." He smiles at her.

Raymond takes a side picture of them which makes Luna turn her head to him with wide eyes. "Did you just…"

"Uh…yeah." Raymond forgot to silent the shutter and it resulting him to get caught by Luna.

"But.."

"You don't have to worry. I'll send all of the photos to you and delete them afterward." Raymond squinted his eyes a bit. Of course, he's lying when he says he gonna delete it. Not a chance, it's his family photo, he's not gonna delete it just like that.

Alex who read all of his father's expression could only shake his head. 'No, mama..he's lying. He probably gonna make it into an album and hide it under his pillow. Believe me.'

The sun starts to set down when they returned back to the hotel. Feeling a bit tired, all of them decide to have dinner after they wash up and change clothes. They feel a bit sticky after soaking with the seawater and very uncomfortable too.

Here in Redang Island, it's not like any other island which always has a partying activity and rousing bar at night. Here, it's a bit calm and quiet at night. Exclusively for a couple and family to have a calm surrounding with very refreshing air and enjoying the waves sound crashing the shore.
