Chapter 116 - A Friend Of Dr. Harry

"That's doesn't make sense." Raymond sighs. True he did threaten them to burn their houses, but of course, he wouldn't do it. He just wants her to admit and tell the truth about the person who hires her to harm Luna.

He's not expecting that girl will bang herself to death. Furthermore, how she able to do that to herself? Doesn't it super hurt and it would make a loud sound which maybe another prisoner would notice, right?

"I know, we still investigating the case. Probably there's a provocation from another prisoner to drive her to do something like that." Detective Murray agrees with Raymond. It does not make sense.

Raymond avert his eyes and asks, "How about the footage I ask you to check?"

He asks Detective Murray to investigate the case that happens yesterday. He believes it was done by the same mastermind behind this attempt. If the servant girl is dead, then he hopes they could catch the one who sneaks into the hospital yesterday to interrogate next.

"About the footage, my partner. Detective Roger is currently working on it. We'll notify you if we found something today." Detective Murray glances over to the girl who keeps silent sitting next to the man.

"I don't know your wife is already in good condition." He said while plastering a smile on his face.

Raymond frowned and shakes his head to Detective Murray. "No, Detective. This is my friend. My wife is still in hospital."

"Oh? I'm sorry. I thought you two are married." He clearly shocked. As far he remembers, his daughter once tells him about the news that Raymond Wayne and Sarah Rochester are dating.

But afterward, there's a massive accident happen which makes the man suddenly disappear from the cities. But only two days before, his chief department calls him to lead a special case which is cannot be leaked to the outside world.

Only after meeting him at the hospital he realizes the person who he had to investigate his case is from the Wayne. When he says it's regarding her wife's safety, he thought it would be Sarah Rochester. But who would've thought it was someone else?

Raymond did not utter a word. He knew everyone must be thinking that they still dating and he doesn't think he needs to tell everyone about their break up. While Sarah bit her bottom lips. Feels a bit embarrassed right now when Raymond introduces her as a friend.

The word is so unfamiliar to her as she always gets introduce as his girlfriend. When he says that to another person, their eyes start to glimmering and shining like they're looking at the precious things. A feeling of victory in her heart. But right now, the eyes of Detective Murray shows a sorry feeling toward her. It feels like she lost her shines.

"So, you wanna follow me to the lab, Mr. Wayne?" Detective Murray said again after return back to earth.

Nodded his head, Raymond stands up and says, "Let's go. I wanna see the result too."

Detective Murray then opens the door for him to walk out and before they walk away from the office, Raymond turns his head to the girl beside him.

"Um, Sarah, I actually have something I would like to talk to you." He stops his pace in the middle of the way and it makes Sarah startle a bit. She scrunches her eyebrow, ready to hear him out.

"Well, could you..please not to visiting my wife again? She's uncomfortable when you're around." He said it straightforwardly which makes Detective Murray feel awkward and he immediately turns his body around.

Not wanting to involve in their love problem. Just by looking at the girl's face, he could feel the burning in her heart. 'Aw, dammit. Why you have to say it now, in front of everyone?'

Sarah stares at Raymond's face. Feeling dissatisfied by what he asked her. Why can't she come to meet her again? "I'm your friend. What's the problem if I came to visit my friend's family?"

"Simple. I don't want us to fight for a stupid reason. That's all. If you want to meet me, just text me as other friends would do." Raymond pat on her shoulder.

Sarah shoves his hand from patting her shoulder. "Sure. I'll remember that." She said and walk away from the office floor, not intending to follow him anymore.

Just after Sarah is gone, he then looks at the man who turned his back to him. "Detective Murray?" He calls him.

"Ah! Yes. This way." He flinched a bit and lead the man to the elevator.

Luna happily eats the crème caramel that Mr. Carson bought for her at the cafeteria. She hardly can eat solid food because of her throat is still a bit hurt.

"Does it taste good, Luna?" Dr. Fang at the side asked the girl when she squinting her eyes while eating the crème caramel.

Luna nodded her head and show him the thumbs up. "Can I eat ice cream after this? I feel like I wanna eat some ice cream." Luna asked after she swallows the third spoon.

Dr. Fang look at Mr. Carson. "Did they sell ice cream in here?" He asked Mr. Carson because he doesn't see any stall that sells ice cream in the cafeteria before.

"There's an ice cream truck near the park which selling the delicious ice cream. Would you like to try it, Luna?" Mr. Carson still remembers there's one place he used to eat ice cream with his little sister at downtown.

"Ooh..yes, yes.." Luna already drooling like a little kid. Her eyes glimmering and nod her head.

"Okay. I'll go and buy it for you. Is there anything else that you want?"

"Um.." Luna thinks for a moment before she shakes her head afterward. "No, that's all I think I want right now."

Nodded, Mr. Carson then off to buy ice cream for her while Dr. Fang suddenly being called by the Dr who in charge of her case in his consultation room. Leaving her all alone now.

To not get bored, Luna turns on the TV in her room. Focusing to watch the news. She doesn't aware of someone entering her room until that someone standing right next to her and smile to her.

"Are you Miss Luna?" The girl with a black long hair asked. She wears a white coat and the name on her coat is 'Dr. Lisa.'

Scrunching her eyebrow, Luna nodded her head. "Who are you?"

"I'm Dr. Lisa. But you can call me, Lis. I'm a friend of Dr. Harry. Harry Wayne." She introduces herself politely. She was so beautiful and had an Asian looks.

Luna raises her eyebrow. "Harry Wayne?" She asked curiously.

Again, the girl named Lisa nods her head. "Yes. He told me about your condition. He was worried and he wants to visit you but his cousin prevents any of Wayne's family comes near you, so luckily today I have some errand in here. Harry wanted me to pass a lotion for your scars. It is very effective for you. Use it for three days, and all of your scars won't show on your skin." She took out a bottle of lotion in medium size to her.

With a bit hesitating, Luna took the bottle and look at it. "Don't worry. It won't harm you. I'm not a bad person." She ensures her and smiles at her.
